I usually go for the lasagna which is great and comes with fresh bread and salad included (all the dinner meals do). Don't order anything except the pizza! I ordered a chicken sandwich and had it delivered to my work, the menu said cold hero sandwich with chicken breast. The sandwich came with over cooked, over fried, flat pancake chicken cutlet cut into rectangular strips. I ended up picking the chicken out with my hands and eating only the chicken. I always come here for their penne vodka, it's so rich and plentiful. I've ordered pizzas a few times here and every experience was a good one. Weekend evenings are always busy so the early you go the less you'll have to wait to be seated. The staff are so nice, attentive, and if you aren't sure about something they will give you their honest opinions. I've been here many times. Most often for a quick slice when shopping at Trader Joe's and they ate great at the quick slice- although the eat-in, non-waitress seating section is limited. Tried the standard Italian cold combo sub today-large size, but kind of dry (too little dressing? Chewy roll, actually kind of hard, past its prime?) Have had a few entrees here, they are good & when you sit in waitress section you get a nice little bruchetta to start...nice touch! I have never delt with the long waits for table. Well the hunt started for a good chicken parm sandwich as there are no really good ones in m'town. The reviews on yelp looked interesting and I drive past this place twice a day. We did takeout, I had the chicken parm, very good taste, great bread... The chicken was a little wierd, they took a well breaded chicken breast and sliced it thin, then put the pieces on the sandwich, then sauce and cheese. My wife had the manicotti, home made shells and ricotta, very good and tasty. We would return, need to try their pizza. read more

I've been going to nonnas for a few years now and never would think I'd be writing this review. Food for the most part is pretty good. However, do NOT order the buffalo chicken pizza. It is the worst and I mean the worst pizza I've ever had in my entire life. Crust is cooked to an extent however, cheese is not cooked AT ALL. I mean despite picking out chunks of it and spending 20$ for a large I won't make that mistake again. I wish I could write 2 reviews- 1 for the food and 1 for the service. I've been here several times to eat in and several times have had food delivered to the house and the food is consistently excellent. I think only 1 dish did I find weakly seasoned in over 30 dishes ordered. Meatballls and spaghetti - fabulous. Shrimp and pasta dishes - delectable (although a bit skimpy on the shrimp). Lasagna -- just great. So for food -- Nonna's is a solid 4+ stars. The problem is the service -- it is so erratic! 3 of 4 times we had really junior waitresses who did not know what they were doing. Excessive wait times for water, bread, ordering and food delivery, leaving the table with dirty dishes behind and hands empty, not coming back to see how things were going once food was finally delivered, waiting on newer tables before us. To be fair the 1 time we had a really experienced and friendly waitress, it was a pleasure. So for service -- 1 star max. read more

Great food and great pizza but terrible wait staff(aside from the owner!) I have come in all different times and days and the service is always terrible. For instance tonight's waitress didn't even make eye contact and to flag her down for a refill was nearly impossible. If the owner wasn't there helping out, service would be even worse. The owner is great and always makes sure the food is perfect. I wish she put more time into hiring and training her wait staff though. Table service makes or breaks someone's evening and even makes people not return. Aside from the service, I have never had a bad meal. I love the Grandma's pizza and Margherita pizza. Also the penne vodka is made to perfection. The sauce is excellent. Sometimes I sub whole wheat penne and that makes it just to my liking. Shame on owner, Andrew, at Nonna's Florham Park. His business is taking advantage of customers. I ordered some catered trays on the phone referencing their online menu. Picked it up the following day and the total was about $60 over what I expected. I asked to go through each item and noticed what I was being charged more than the price reflected online. Andrew kept insisting I was wrong, so I pulled his catering menu on my phone and showed him. He saw the price difference but said they recently increased their prices and there was probably something wrong with my phone. Seriously?! He refused to honor this cost discrepancy so I will not be funding his business again as I always try to support our local businesses. Andrew clearly has zero etiquette dealing with people/customers. I think his business has given him a big head allowing him to think he can treat customers rudely and relentlessly insisting he was right, not the customer. Shame on Nonna's in FP. read more

We were greeted like one of the family when we walked in by the men in the kitchen and the hostess seated us promptly. The waitress was very helpful when I asked for gluten free options. We ordered Chicken Franchisee, a Personal Pie and Ravioli with meatballs. The meatballs were the size of softballs! We would give our meals 4 out of 5 stars each. The flavors of my chicken dish were bright and spot on, but the chicken was slightly over cooked and a bit dry. The vegetables were fresh, cooked to perfection. The zuppa di clams app is good, but they only give you a quantity of 9? Why not make it a dozen? Entrées I've tried: Penne Vodka w/ chicken added - Pretty meh, nothing to write home about. Usually my go-to order when I do Italian, so this was a disappointment. Shrimp Scampi - I was craving some delicious, garlicky pasta. This had NO FLAVOR. I was using the spices at the table to spruce it up. Salt, pepper, crushed pepper flakes, nothing could help this meal. The shrimp was like lightly fried before being added to the meal. This would have been better grilled, sautéed, something. I didn't care for the batter layer whatsoever. Pizza was basic, I love pizza and every time my mom recommended we order from this place (she lives nearby), I always decline. Service is decent, everyone has been friendly. Don't come!! I was there today about an hour ago. I ordered egg plant slice, soup and cappuccino!! Let me tell you that the slice was super cold and non tasty at all. The soup was just coming from the can and it tasteless and the cappuccino that they made for me was cold and disgusting!!
