Noodle Dynasty is a small restaurant on busy Telegraph, so it may be easy to miss, but definitely do not miss it! It was a must try since it was relatively new and I heard nothing but great things. The wait was a tad long, but it made since given that the place was on the smaller end and it was around a busy time (lunch). I got the House Special Beef Rib (Bone In). The marvel behind it is that it has a 24 hour cooked broth and the HUMONGOUS beef rib. The meat fell off the bone very smoothly and cleanly which I appreciate. I also got thick noodles and they were pretty good too. The broth was delicious too, but I felt like it was nothing super extraordinary, but still a solid good meal. For all their soups, they use SOY BEANS as a topping and NOT PEANUTS. Overall, pretty good place but nothing too special aside from the experience of the huge bone in rib. It was a tightly packed restaurant that was decorated very nicely. Parking is scarce since it's on Telegraph, a main street, but there are walkable distanced parking garages that are available. My new favorite noodle place in Berkeley! There's always a crowd of people here, so make sure to come early or be prepared to wait. The inside is quite small, so you're better off going with a group of 4 or less if you don't want to wait too long for a seat. You can also choose to order to-go at the kiosk inside, or through the Snackpass app. Once seated, you scan the QR code on the table to order on your phone, and they bring the food to your table when its ready. I decided to try the pickled cabbage and fish fillet noodle soup with thick noodles and the spicy broth. The portions here are HUGE. Definitely enough for 2 meals, though noodle soup does get a big soggy when you eat it as leftovers. The thick noodles were the perfect texture and chewiness, and the broth was very flavorful too. I really liked the pickled cabbage pieces inside as well as the fish which was cooked perfectly. They weren't skimpy on the portions for those either. The one thing I will say though is I'd probably recommend choosing the non-spicy option and then adding your own later on the table, since it's more of a chili oil rather than other spice which can leave the soup more oily than you desire. You also get to choose the noodle type (thick, thin, or rice) and spicy level (spicy or non-spicy). We got thick and spicy for both of ours. The customer service is also really great. We came around closing and asked them if it was too late to order but they welcomed us in. We stayed a bit over the closing time and they were really accommodating. We finished our food really satisfied and full with leftovers enough to last us two more meals. We had a mini food coma after - best food coma ever. Scouring for (good) options to eat in a college town left barren by students on winter break is by no means an easy chore. While many restaurants close up shop for the holidays, Noodle Dynasty remains open, serving up delicious noodle dishes year round. Their bowls all come with your choice of thick, thin, or rice noodles. My boyfriend's aversion to udon always makes him insistent on ordering thin. I, on the other hand, ordered thick noodles. However, the differences between both were negligible. Despite being labeled "thick," its radius might have only increased a minuscule amount. Between the two noodle dishes (braised beef noodle and the beef noodle soup in 8 hour broth), it's hard to choose a favorite. First of all, both are similar with its narrow amount of ingredients (just meat, broth, a few radishes, and noodles), but above that, they both were insanely delicious. Oftentimes, noodle soup places shine in their noodle texture but leave much to be desired regarding meat quality. However, Noodle Dynasty is solid on both fronts: tender meat accompanied by bouncy noodles. I appreciated the addition of soft radish, but my boyfriend found it to be distracting as the large radish chunks slowed down his pursuit to the bottom of the bowl. Overall, I'd definitely return! We arrived thirty minutes after 5pm and at the time there was no line. However, as we were eating and about to leave, there was a line right out of the door. I could see why because the dishes we tried were delicious! I was on a light stomach day, so we ordered two main dishes and then an appetizer. Even in the late winter evening, the interior was warm, so it might grow warmer over the spring and summer months. Circling back, this was another reason we ordered a one main dish fewer than usual because I tend to eat fewer in warmer weather. We ordered the beef noodle soup, the Singaporean noodle, and the wonton noodle dumplings with chili oil. Yes, wonton dumplings with chili oil has lately been my favorite go-to appetizer. This one had an equal portion of dumpling filling to skin. I prefer when there is more skin, but this was pretty good. For an appetizer, it will fill you up, so an early warning beforehand. My favorite was the beef noodle, but note that this could be an acquired taste. There is a medicinal herb flavor that is in either the broth or marinated in the beef. I am tolerable to these, and this dish cooked this flavor in very subtly; it was almost like a faint aftertaste. However, my relative, who is not used to this flavor tried a small bowl but didn't request for seconds. If you are okay eating and tasting the medicinal herb then I highly recommend this dish! When ordering you can also choose from one of the noodle thickness (I chose thick). The Singaporean noodle was like a stir fry noodle with hints of curry. I liked this one very much and I see why it was seen as the most photos in yelp. I also liked the egg, that was mixed in with the Singaporean dish; it has a flavor that I really like in stir fry dishes. Located in Berkeley close to the UC Berkeley campus is this very small restaurant, we had a party of 3 and our friend got a table for us around 5pm, and it was busy with the line out the door. Lots of different soups and noodles to choose from. Reading the reviews, we got the pickled mustard green fish soup, cucumbe salad, a beef noodle soup, and a tomato and beef dish. We didn't get the beef soup but I would want to try that next sometime. The tables are quite small but these are shareable items but lots of people get bowls for themselves. The noodles were good and all of the flavors were so different. Service was quick and they get people in and out. One of my favorite food spots in Berkeley! I discovered this place 6 months ago and have visited at least once a month ever since. Everything has great flavor. The cucumber salad is a must. Lamb skewers are absolutely delicious. And of course the noodle soups are incredible. The broth is so tasty, the meat is so tender, and the rice noodles are a great option for me since they are gluten free. My favorite is the beef brisket. I always have soup leftovers since it's a lot of food but not complaining! There is often a line out the door but I've never waited longer than 25 minutes and it's always worth it. That's how you know it's a good spot anyway! The service is insanely fast. I swear my food arrives within 5-8 minutes of ordering. A MUST TRY! Was my first time visiting this local favorite and I can say my experience was amazing. The service started off amazing with the service , Vicente, greeting us immediately and sat us down when a table was ready while bringing us water. Now for the food, I ordered a chicken chow mein and an order of potstickers (not pictured) which were both extremely delicious and well served. An addition to the amazing service already given by Vicente, he did an amazing job once again by recommending I eat the potstickers with chili sauce and soy sauce, which in turn made the potstickers even more delicious than they already were. Now to review the food. I'd say it was some of the best chow Mein and potstickers I've had recently. They were both extremely delicious and like I said previously were big serving sizes. In addition to this, the taste of each made you want more after each bite and even when finished! I could easily say this is one of the best places to eat in berkeley for sure. Their SnackPass QR code is not that great, so after multiple failed attempts, we had to ask our server to take our order. The service was really fast. Our food came out in 5-7 minutes after we placed the order. My friend got the pickled cabbage and fish filet noodle soup, and I got the beef brisket noodle soup in 8-hour cooked broth. We also got the lamb skewers to share. The lamb skewers were really good. The lamb was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. I was definitely craving for more afterward. The moment our server brought the noodle soup to our table, we could feel the aroma wafting from the big bowl of noodle soup and the savory notes of the broth filled with aromatic vegetables, herbs and spices. I got the spicy noodle soup but didn't find it spicy. The beef brisket was the star of the show. It just melted in the mouth with unparalleled tenderness. I was too excited by all the high reviews and was very disappointed. I got the lab skewers, chili wontons, and 24 hour beef noodles. Nothing was spicy, despite looking like it would be in the photos. Skewers were not bad, some lamb chunks were chewier/had more tendon than others. If you got good pieces, it was very tender; very cumin heavy but I didn't kind. Chili wontons were on the skimpier side for meat filling, the sauce wasn't spicy and leaned on the side of sweet with a bit of vinegar. It was an interesting style, but I prefer my chili wontons to be more spicy. The 24 hour beef noodle soup was also just okay. The soup didn't have much flavor. We ended up waiting in line 20 minutes probably because the waiter inadvertently seated a group behind us before us. Sigh.
