Not for myself LOL! Luckily! My family were definitely frequent visitors! Smh! Anyways! Brilliant concept! Cute restaurant for sure! Very cool decor, and I especially LOVED the wall of all the people that helped during Hurricane Helene! I just love the town of Marshall, I was raised here! It's all I've ever known! You order at the counter and you bus your own tables! We personally love that! I always try to clean my own table anyway! We started with the Pimento cheese appetizer! Homemade pimento cheese, picked okra, pickles and focaccia bread! Needed more bread lol! I kid! I had the smash burger with salad which I loved was an option!!! My fiancé had The Zadie Bird sandwich with cheese grits! He throughly enjoyed it and his grits were delicious!!! So happy they were a side option too!!! We honestly can't wait to come back to try it again! Great staff, Great Food!

We all shared tomato soup, grilled cheese, fries, beet salad and chicken and waffles. Everything was delicious and the town is really cool to drive through. We will definitely return here again.

Just wow... It's…read morerare that you stumble upon a restaurant that has more than a few reviews with a solid 5 stars but after eating here it's very clear why. Everything we had was amazing. The bison meat loaf was incredible and a fair sized 8 oz or so portion. Even the salad was amazing. Service was impeccable and the servers clearly knew the menu inside and out. Expected for this price point but sadly, rare. Deserts were taken to go and amazing. Would return without question

Very quaint spot in an old gas station, the décor was really "vintage" cool. Very small dining area outside - started thinking it might be a wee bit chilly on a 40 decree evening, but the space heaters made the seating very comfortable. Great table service, can't really say enough about our server (missed her name,, sorry). Never had to wait on a thing. Very nice wine list. Started with the Brussel Sprouts - devine!! I had the Southern Fried Chicken Saltimbocca, she had the Sea Bass. Flavors were outstanding. Portions were perfect. The best Saltimbocca I think I have ever put in my mouth. Finished up with the Buttermilk Cheesecake and Crème Brulee - 5 star on both counts. You will spend some money here, but it so well worth it!! No doubt we will be back again for a relaxing, delicious date night!!

We were seated in a booth near the corner, and it was a great place to visit and talk. I enjoyed the French toast with blueberries and a side of crispy bacon. Just delicious! My friend ordered an entree that had eggs, crab meat, and hash browns and raved about it as well. Service was very good - attentive but not hovering. Highly recommend Stoney Knob Cafe if you're in the area!

Made reservations a week in advance since it is popular & we were coming on a Saturday night. had to call to do this but the staff were quick with the booking. We were staying on the north side of Asheville a few minutes from downtown & this was a quick 12 drive to Weaverille. Place was packed when we arrived 10 mins early for our seating. We waited maybe 3 mins though & were in our booth. The vibe here is something else. Decor is eclectic but layout mimics the vintage diner that it resembles from the outside. Very casual but doesnt necessarily feel that way. Menu isnt extensive so you dont have to fret about too many choices which i personally like. We started off with the seasonal watermelon salad which my wife says is one of her favorite things shes had anywhere in recent memory. I had a side portion of the steak wedge salad. For mains i had the carolina shrimp & grits & my wife got the pot pie. Both were insanely rich & satisfying. Good portions & quality ingredients represented. Even though at this point we were stuffed we had to go for dessert & tried the omg peanut butter pie & the tiramisu. not surprisingly, both were excellent. Apparently they have a dedicated pastry chef who makes the desserts every morning. Service was really good here and my sister in law's friend who was working the bar came over and raved about being employed there which is good to hear. Cant find anything negative to say about this place & you'd be hard pressed to find anybody doing so online really either. Just a local joint serving good food in a fun environment. Highly recommend

There is street parking nearby, and this place is always hopping. This place makes me think of a southerner's take on a French bakery. Absolutely gorgeous on the inside with decadent sweets to choose from, while also featuring classics like a Swiss roll or a cream puff. They also offer breakfast/brunch/lunch, as well as made to order cakes. (Their coconut cake is award-winning). We came in recently and got a BLT, chicken salad on croissant (with watermelon salad), quiche, cream puff, lemon Swiss roll, and lattes. The sandwiches were all delicious and this was my first time trying watermelon salad - fresh and perfect to accompany the sandwiches. Their quiches are large and filling - perfect on their own for breakfast. For lattes, we got a vanilla latte, and then their July 4th special, which had strawberry and white chocolate in it - the July 4th specialty latte was decadent - if you like sweet, you should give it a try. All in all, I think we paid $50ish for our meal. This spot is a must if you're in the area!
