    Pad Kee Mao
    Maryam G.

I am baffled by the good reviews of this place. I sampled both their pad thai (with chicken) and their pad kee mao (with tofu) and each one was aggressively bland. The pad thai noodles clung together and tasted of dish water; no hint of tamarind anywhere in them. The dishwater taste may have been coming from the bean sprouts mixed in, which did not taste fresh to say the least. Despite its nice appearance, the kee mao was equally tasteless! On a positive note, the vegetables were cooked perfectly. I don't know what caused the dark color throughout the dish. I would have thought a sauce, but I couldn't detect it at all flavor-wise. There was a lot more heat in the kee mao, though I ordered both with the same (low) spice level. Each of these dishes is supposed to have a distinctive sauce on their own, so even going light on spice should have left them with some flavor. Perhaps I got a bad batch, but after $35 down the drain, I just can't bring myself to try again.

Gave Noodle Hut another chance and was satisfied with the Pad Kee Mao. Great arrangements of vegetables that were cooked to a great texture and the sauce and dish was not burnt this time. Very good portion size as well! Glad I gave this small business another try.

    Pad see ew

Love their pad thai! It's more authentic than some of the others that you'd order from another Thai spot. Less ketchup-saucey and more of the light brown/tan color - not sure what the spices are, but it's very delicious. The spice here is also no joke. The pad see ew was also really good, lots of vegetables and flavor. I'm also a fan of their fried turnip appetizer - tasty and reminiscent of the XO sauce rice roll that you'd get at Chinese spots, or a similar Vietnamese appetizer. Overall, friendly spot and tasty Thai food! Highly recommend if you're in the Edmonds area.

Fresh, authentic, and delicious! We ordered the radish cake, pad see ew with tofu (2 stars spice lvl), and beef satay noodles (3 stars spice lvl). The flavors were on point!! For the price point and the quality of the food, I must say it is one of the best Thai restaurants in the area. There is plenty of parking available in the lot. They only do take out services right now. Highly recommend! Incredibly friendly people and delicious Thai food.

Simple hole in the wall spot worth the wait. Just call ahead and wait at home.

This is by far the best Thai food around! It's the closest I've tasted to the food I've had in Thailand. We consistently get the Pad Kee Mao or the Pad See Ew. Perfectly cooked every time! We also venture out to other meals, like the chicken satay, which also have perfect spice, crunchy vegetables, and soft wide rice noodles. YUM! They don't have that fake overly sweet flavor other Thai restaurants can have! Here is there downfall, the wait time. You need to call them right when they open to put your order in. Today, on a Wednesday, we called before 5pm and the food wasn't ready for pick up until just after 7pm. There have been times we have called and the wait time is 3 hours (weekends)! So, plan ahead and be patient. If that doesn't work for you, look elsewhere! This a spot where patience is a virtue!

No dipping sauce with the spring rolls

Paid $50 for an over cooked egg and ground chicken. Yuck. It had no flavor. I ordered 3 spice. Spring rolls didn't come with any dipping sauce. I will not be coming back. Lazy service and food.

My favorite dish. Pineapple fried rice with chicken and spice level 3. My little girl started at level zero and is up to level 1.5ish

Consistently great food. Tiny establishment, at the top of the hill. I didn't notice it when we first moved here. I'm so happy we did. My daughter loves Thai food, even her dad who claimed not to like Thai food...is now a fan, huge fan. Thanks to this place. We can call in an order, walk down and pick it up. We've never had a bad meal. Friendly employees. Quality food. Portion sizes are good for the price. You definitely should give them a try.

Best Pad Thai ever! It didn't cover in sauce, noodle is tender but not soggy, traditional Thai flavor.

Why is their phone always "busy" even when we call multiple times early in the PM? And why do they close randomly and their hours do not get updated. We drive all the way from Arlington....

Per her take out order, they are closed from 300pm-430pm daily. As well closed all day Sunday and Monday. Its 20 minutes to 3pm, I'd imagine taking orders this late, would prevent the 3pm close. I've never had issues calling during store hours.… Read more

I love everything; perhaps the octopus could be cooked a little longer to tenderize more. I love the crunchiness from it, and the crunchiness from the black mushroom too. Maybe the chef can find a way to achieve just enough tenderness while still being crunchy, which would be perfect. Another thing, my bowl looks burned on the edges. Kudos to all staff! They can accommodate big groups, as they had 2 different large groups at the same time, but those took up a lot of tables because the restaurant isn't that spacious. The combos are a good option if you have people to share with and/or multiple people are hungry. The portions are enough for more than one meal, and the prices reflect that. We ordered boiled dumplings and the friends combo A with jajung, jjamppong, and tangsuyuk (M). The bowls of jajung and jjamppong are huge, but I didn't notice any meat in the jajung. The jajung was basically noodles, brown sauce, and onions. It was tasty, but disappointing that it looked and tasted vegetarian. The jjamppong was tasty because it was garlicky and slightly spicy. I was surprised to see the boiled dumplings were basically tiny wontons in clear broth. They need to update their menu description because I was expecting dry and regular sized dumplings. The tangsuyuk was very crispy, and I'm glad they served the goopy sauce separately.

Came across this place with strong reviews, and the name itself includes seollongtang, which is always a good sign that soup is taken seriously here. The restaurant is much more polished and refined than I expected. We ordered the combination and the cartilage and tendon one. I am always here for tendon, so that was an easy decision. My husband went with white wheat noodles and I chose the clear sweet potato noodles. It also came with rice, which was an unexpected but welcome addition. The banchan of kimchi radish and kimchi Napa cabbage were both excellent and refilled quickly without needing to ask twice. The soup is rich, creamy, and deeply comforting, the kind you immediately wish you had closer to home. Only wish is that they had a combination that included tendon, because that would be perfect.
