She then said "oh yeah, I knew that was wrong before I even said anything" and that she had put my order in wrong. She said she'd have the cooks put a rush on it but you can't really put a rush on a steak. She brought out the sides that go with my dish so I wouldn't be without food but the green beans were incredibly salty and the mashed potatoes were dry and almost cold. When my mom offered to let me have some of her steak for the time being the waitress butted in to say "she does have food coming". When my steak finally came out everyone else was already finished eating but she did bring it out with fresh sides and the mashed potatoes were much better! Granted the texture and appearance was so different from the first ones it really made me wonder just how old those first potatoes were which grossed me out a bit. My steak was delicious and I did get a side of chimichurri which was the best chimichurri I've had in a long time. My sister said the sauce for her seafood linguini was pretty bland but she otherwise enjoyed her dish. My mom also mentioned the teres major was really good. Updated the website menu (http://noodlenthai.com/menu) to reflect the updated to-go menu yesterday (01/19/12). Some items have been removed, new ones added. If there is one you really liked, and it is not on the menu, ask, and they might be able to make it for you. There are three menus: lunch, dinner and to-go. Each one has a different numbering system, so don't order by number, without looking first, as you might not get what you want. ^__^ The pricing has been adjusted to account for the cost of purchase from their suppliers. Finally, keep this in mind: When they really get busy, they are understaffed. It is just the three, Pat (main person up front), Owen (chef), and Noii (Pat's sister). I am sure there are a number of times they would like to have a fourth person to help out, even if it was just to bus the tables and clean/put-away the dishes, but I don't know where they stand on that, as I haven't taken the time to ask (shame on me). I have helped a few times at the end of the night, when I have gone in after awhile to check in. read more

Me and my friend ordered from noodle n thai and were so excited. Order we the garden rolls, fried spring rolls, mixed vegetables in peanut sauce and the crab rice. When our food was delivered it was hot but you could smell the crab. It did not smell right. Told my friend not to eat it but did. Was throwing up crab all after noon and had diarrhea. They need to check there crab. The mixed veggies were disappointing. It was more of a soup with rice then vegetables in a sauce. The coconut in the sauce was all I could taste and not at all whT I was expecting ...could finish just too sweet. Both of the rolls were good but small portions for the price. We live in Thurston so we dont have much options for pho. Family has been getting over being sick and pho usually helps with that. We decided to try Noodle and Thai, ordered 3 of the traditional thai and a beef pho. Ended up with 4 traditional and no beef. I really dont do well with pork so i gave the pork slices to others. The ground pork was tough and chewy and there was no flavor to the broth. None of us finished our pho and it left us not feeling better at all. A couple of us feeling sick to our stomachs. We ordered three items: Tom Kha soup with chicken, pineapple curry with chicken, and Pad Thai with pork. First thing to know--the portions are HUGE. The three dishes could easily have fed four people. The curry was probably 1 1/2 times the size we're normally used to at Thai restaurants, and the Pad Thai looked almost double the size for only about $4 more than what we normally pay elsewhere. Extremely good value. And the portion-size test? See the leftovers photo. After the two of us ate dinner, there was still enough food left for breakfast or lunch the next day. The pineapple curry was probably the standout for me, although it was a toss-up between that and the Pad Thai. My wife ranked the curry first, followed by the Pad Thai and then the soup. The pineapple curry came out in a surprisingly large bowl with plenty of chicken, vegetables and big pieces of pineapple--not a bowl of sauce with a few ingredients floating around in it. Great presentation. The sauce was creamy, slightly sweet and still allowed the curry spices to come through. We ordered it mild and there was still a little bite. The vegetables were cooked just right--not mushy and not raw. The pineapple was sweet and tasted remarkably fresh. According to our server, the pineapple actually comes from a large can. I wouldn't have guessed it. You'd swear you were eating freshly cut pineapple. The Pad Thai was another winner. Again, HUGE serving and very flavorful. Unlike some Thai restaurants that put the peanuts and bean sprouts separately on the side, here they're incorporated right into the Pad Thai, with crushed peanuts and green onion across the top. We ordered the Pad Thai mild. I normally eat Thai food hot or extra hot, so mild obviously wasn't going to give me the heat I normally like. I added about three teaspoons of their Thai hot chili paste. That enhanced the flavor even more and gave me the nice burn I was looking for. That's personal preference, not a criticism of the dish. Their heat choices are mild, medium, hot and extra hot. The Tom Kha chicken soup was also a VERY large serving. There was plenty of tender chicken and vegetables, and ordering it mild certainly didn't hide the other flavors. For our personal taste, however, it wasn't as creamy or as sweet as the Tom Kha we normally prefer. Again, that's OUR preference, and someone else may prefer it exactly this way. I added about three teaspoons of sweet chili sauce to bring up the heat for me. Service deserves its own mention. Our waitress was friendly and attentive without hovering. She noticed that I was drinking a lot of water and, instead of making repeated trips to refill my glass, brought a carafe of water to the table. A small thing, maybe, but that's the kind of personal service I notice. The restaurant itself was another pleasant surprise. It's considerably larger inside than you might initially expect, with the dining room divided into smaller seating areas by wooden partitions. Lots of warm wood, exposed beams and hanging lights give it a comfortable, established atmosphere rather than the feel of one large open dining room. Even with other conversations going on around us, the sound was more of a muted background noise. We could easily carry on a conversation at our own table without competing with the room. The front waiting area, with carved wooden furniture, plants and decorative woodwork, also gives the restaurant some personality. See the photos. Bottom line: generous portions, excellent value, attentive service and very good food. For us, the pineapple curry and Pad Thai were the stars. The Tom Kha wasn't quite the creamy style we personally prefer, but it was still flavorful and loaded with tender chicken. Would we order the pineapple curry again? Absolutely. Spicey even at only a 2 level. He will be back! Kung pow, Mongolian beef and chow mein. I had fried rice, orange chicken and Broccoli Chicken. It was flavorful. Orange chicken was a bit soggy but good flavor. The Broccoli Chicken had a ton of oil but tasted good. Rice was ok. Portions on all was very good.
