I liked noodle wave! It was a clean restaurant and the waitstaff was kind and quick, even though we had a very large party. We started with a delicious soup that was on the house. I ordered the Special and it was extremely filling and very delicious. It came with green curry and a spring roll in addition to the main dish. I got level 3 spice which was perfect for me because it was spicy but not overwhelming. Also it was very reasonably priced. Only $16 for an entire meal. The mango icecream at the end was a perfect finish to lunch. I would definitely enjoy coming back. read more

I was looking for a quick lunch that wasn't fast food when I spotted noodle wave. I'm a fan of their other locations so was glad to run across this one. As I walked in though,I realized it is designed primarily for take out. However,there is a small bar so you can eat in and a few outside sidewalk tables. The food is served in To-go containers which was ok. I only ate 1/2 and it was ready to go. My Curried fried rice with tofu was superb. Accompanied with a cup of delicious soup,it hit the spot. While in Dallas stopped for lunch at @thainoodlewave, this is a spot that I am a fan of. The Dallas location (forest & preston) is a to-go location with a few seats inside and a few tables outside. We ordered Tom Yum Soup, Satay, Wings, Steamed Dumplings, Tung Tac, and Kaow Soy. first off, the food was on point, and I enjoyed the Satay, Thai Style Wings, and Dumplings. I was really excited about the Kaow Soy since I do like the Memoni and the Burmese styles (both are quite different), so I really wanted to try it. and honestly, it is now my favorite item here. the beef was perfectly tender, and the curry was full of flavor. it all just went well together. overall, this is a great spot. I think this place may have been over hyped for me before I came. I didn't find it very exciting, feels more fast food format with a lot of plastic containers and utensils (we were dining in). I want to like this place. We live around the corner and the flavors are good. But the portions are just too small and I am a woman who is not looking for huge portions. But even the one time we went in and ate dine in, they used the same to go containers and there was hardly any protein in our noodle dishes. We've been loyal fans for many years but they are slipping. It seems to be a case of cutting costs and stuffing the tip jar while the food gets progressively worse. Here was tonight's problems. They made two huge mistakes with our order tonight. The pad see ew was supposed to be with tofu (a dish for a vegetarian) but you gave us chicken. You also ruined what is normally a delicious Vietnamese noodle soup. There was something very wrong with the broth. It tasted terrible, so we had to throw it out. We would have tried to improve it but our family all agreed it tasted like dish water. Lastly, your app pre-populated a 20% tip on the total; instead of on the subtotal which is customary and normal. So, we went ahead and tipped you about 23% without knowing it when half of our dinner was prepared wrong. You guys need to do better or we won't be back and we'll also tell everyone we know to stay away. read more

$14.95 Chicken Pad Thai is missing flavor. I've had $11 ones that were more flavorful. They added more sauce when I complained but it still was missing a key seasoning (I don't know what). I could taste the peanut seasoning but that's all. It was made fresh but again doesn't taste like a normal pad Thai. I've never cooked it at home so I couldn't tell you what it is I can only describe what was missing. It needed more salt, heat (spice) and a little bit of sweetness. I just ate the chicken and egg. They don't have the central heat on, they have a small space heater instead. So it's pretty chilly and uncomfortable inside. I ordered Pad Thai at Noodle Wave on a Friday night. The wait was pretty typical for Thai, around 15 minutes. The Pad Thai wasn't exceptional. It tasted as if the had sprinkled flavor on the outside of the food, but none of that flavor penetrated the food itself. It's not that i hated the food. It just felt a little bland. I probably wouldn't actively come back here. The customer service was great though! They have very friendly staff. This restaurant is very small and is probably oriented more toward takeout. Do not use their app to order your food. I went to pick up my order of chicken spring rolls & Pad Thai. They tell me my order was picked up at 11:47am after I ordered it at 11:33am. I got a text saying it would take 30 minutes. My order would have been ready at 12:30pm. Then guy at the store tells me I paid for delivery. I did not & they don't have my home address. I tipped $3 for making the food that I planned to pickup. Frustrating experience. I want my credit card refunded for food I paid for but never got. Avoid this place! Food was great (five stars), as always (especially the fried rice, which is the best in Dallas). BUT**, I've been disappointed lately regarding the heat inside (zero stars!). The first time (about a week ago) it seemed the air conditioning must be broken. The most recent time (two days ago) it was STILL so hot in there. SO THEY HAVENT FIXED IT YET. The employees looked like they were about to pass out. The employees didn't complain but I was worried about them. The owner needs to do something about this! We've frequent the previous Thai takeout. When this was changed over to Noodle Wave we haven't visited for a while because I thought they only sell noodles. Turns out their menu is just as diversed as other Thai place. Everything we had was delicious. The Tom Yum soup had so much flavor and chicken. The chicken satay was super moist which is hard to do. Most tend to be dry and jerky but theirs was delicious. The green papaya salad was a bit too tangy for my taste but still good. This seems a franchise and there are multiple locations in the city. I loved their food in Allen location but I would avoid this location for, 1. My wife and I are huge fans of Noodle Wave. We order take-out and delivery from this location pretty regularly. The food is always delicious. I love their curry puffs and chicken wings while my wife gets either a curry or a woon sen. Our only complaint is that they tend to get a little overwhelmed with orders and the times provided for the order to be ready can be way off. That is the only reason for the 4-star review versus the 5-star. read more

Sometimes I gamble on a 3 star and it turns out to be 5. Dinner was Soft shell crab woonsen was fantastic! Clear noodles had great texture, plenty of it, and crab meat. Lime was a good condiment for the crab, glad they had some. Take out presentation was excellent, tight fitting containers, plenty of utensils on the way out the door, napkins, cute little paper dishes that wife appreciated since we were going to eat in the car. Had skipped our lunches due to busy work schedule, and only reason we stopped by here was due to vaccinations at the nearby CVS. They got the order made in under 15 min, during rush hour, very nice. I love Thai food, when I saw this place it was new to me so I decided to give it a try. I chose to have the Panang curry and the the Vietnamese soup. The first time I had the Panang curry, I was a little put off the flavor the mushrooms added, the second time I omitted the mushrooms, the dish was greatly improved by making that decision.
