honestly, very disappointed with this place. I ordered one of the rick dishes with chicken and broccoli. It was very underwhelming. the flavoring was kind of weird to be honest. the rice was cook, but the chicken was just weird. The food didn't take too long to come out, and the employee at the register was nice. the place was causal and clean, and they had a station with water, glasses, chopstick, utensils, and napkins. parking as pretty easy as well.

The people are always nice in there and their coconut water drink is soo yummy. The pieces of coconut inside are so delicious I tried to buy a cup of the pure coconut meat but they wouldn't sell it lol Oh well can't say I didn't try! I'm not a bigg fan of like thai food but their chicken is pretty good and the Fitzhugh location sells macaroons. I'm not sure if the other locations carry them too but I highly recommend them.

Easy 5 stars! Great Thai food, quick self serve, and plenty of seating! Enjoyed a late dinner here on Friday night and was throughly impressed with the spring rolls and pad Thai, everything was so fresh and delicious. Will absolutely be back!

Lao sausage, papaya salad, larb chicken, beef jerky

I tried this place a few weeks ago my wife did a pick up order and let me tell you this was not a good example of Laos food. We got the Lao sausage, papaya salad Lao style, beef jerky and larb chicken. The food did not taste good, the papaya had a weird flavor like it's been too ripe. The jerky was super chewy and the best thing was the sausage and larb but didn't win by much.

This is a top notch quick meal. Delicious! Amazing! Each portion is a lot of food too! I wouldn't say it was the quickest light fast food but definitely quicker than sit down. You just walk in and order at the counter. We went before the hockey game and it was really good! Definitely would each here again!

I love going to Zaap for their pad see ew! it always tastes so yummy! I get a level 2 spice, and it's not spicy at all. I do not have a good spice tolerance. I also got the garlic stir fry. I would pass on this as it was a little bland and I get the pineapple fried rice instead. I liked the crab cream cheese rolls! They were a nice appetizer. The food was brought out quickly. This place is good for a quick and quiet lunch.

I ordered Zapp Kitchen via door dash. The order came in a decent time and was packaged well. I had the pineapple fried rice with chicken, pad Thai with chicken and fried vegetables rolls. The pad Thai was dry and I did not like how it was seasoned. The pineapple rice was better but nothing to rave about. The vegetables rolls were good. Overall: I wouldn't order again.

This place is so good. I'll be back. Just know this going forward. They are located in a strip mall just catty-cornered to my hotel I was at. Within walking distance, but just not in this heat. It's brutal. Walked in and it's quaint. Not huge and not small but comfortable. They have two counters a self service and a full service. I had scoped out the menu so I knew what I wanted. The crispy wings and drunken noodles. The wings were super crispy and full of flavor, my only beef was they were overcooked and pretty dry. Flavor 5/5 stars, but the overcooked made them not the best texture wise. Drunken noodles were perfect. Heat was great, i got a level 3, veggies were good and sauce was delicious. Great little restaurant if you don't want overpriced hotel food. See y'all next time im in town!

    Wall art!
    Charline N.

I was extremely happy with my order at Zaap, they had some of my favorites and the uncle/dad cooking in the back made it all seem worth my while! The food I ordered came out extremely delicious, I was serviced at the counter by someone who def knew how guide me to the perfect dish. I ended up ordered Nam Kaow and Pad See Ew, kept everything mild! At first, the ambiance gave me old school Pei Wei, but that all changed when I noticed the wall art amongst other things that made me smile! Highly recommend.

Very good street style food. Good service. Ate at the eatery after counter order. Will continue eating there when the feeling hits.

You just get it from their fridge. I liked their beef larb. Level 4 was pretty spicy. We got it cooked. The Laos sausage was good but tasted like the ones you can buy yourself and cook. Their nam Khao had very good flavor. My only critique is that it could be even crispier and it would be perfect. Their Khao poon is okay not bad. I like my mother in laws better. Khao piek had good hearty broth flavor. Overall would come back if in the area! Their ambiance is a restaurant combined with a market you can get some pantry or frozen foods.

It's tucked away and attached to a small Lao grocery store, which honestly made it feel even more authentic. The moment we walked in, it felt like we were about to get a home-cooked meal. We ordered the organ soup with sticky rice, beef lahp, and nam khao, and everything was absolutely delicious. The broth in the organ soup was rich, clean, and deeply flavorful, exactly how it's supposed to taste. The sticky rice came out warm and perfectly chewy. The beef lahp was bright and herbaceous with the right amount of spice and lime, super fresh, and tasted just like what we've had in Laos/at family gatherings. And the nam khao was crispy, tangy, and packed with flavor. You can tell they don't cut corners on ingredients here. What I appreciated most is the authenticity. A lot of other reviewers mentioned that this is one of the few places in Texas where the food tastes "just like home," and I completely agree. Multiple people also mentioned the friendly staff and how the market side carries essentials and hard-to-find Lao/Thai items. We felt the same way, everyone was kind, and the grocery section is a nice bonus for anyone looking for snacks or specialty ingredients. Portions were solid, prices were fair, and the quality was amazing. This is exactly the kind of spot you hope to find when traveling. If you want real Lao food, skip the trendy places and come here instead. We will definitely be back the next time we're in Texas. Highly, highly recommend.

I absolutely love Meat Larb and Papaya Salad, and I also picked up some small sticky rice and a container of cabbage pickle. I remember the gentleman at the counter quoted me around $42.00 for everything, which seemed right based on what I ordered. When I paid by card, I honestly didn't get a clear view of the amount on the terminal, and I was in a bit of a hurry, so I didn't think to ask for a receipt at the time. I totally regret that now! It wasn't until I checked my bank statement a couple days later that I noticed a charge of $282.20 from Overseas Market. As you can imagine, I was pretty surprised, as it's quite a bit more than the $42.00 I was expecting. Spoke with the man by the phone he said I don't have a receipt and refused to work with me. At this point he left me no choice I got back online and did a partial dispute. This type of incident can happen to anyone so, please ask for a receipt and take time to look at it.

I believe that the heat levels are hotter than most places. They will warn you. Believe them. So I believed it, it was still HOT, and I had to laugh. I still enjoyed it all. So my Husband got his wish and ordered the garlicky Pork Riblets. They are marinated in garlic, fried in garlic, and topped with garlic. So very very good. He also had the Chicken Wings also deep into the garlic flavor and very tender. He shared with me. Thank goodness. So I shared the always crunchy and tasty pork egg rolls. Heaven. They came with their own sauce, but there's a table up by the kitchen with the Hoisin, Sriracha, and other sauces and of course there is a spice tray. My husband had their wonderful green curry and I, the Pad Kee Mao, which was very spicy even at a (2). I wasn't keen on the noodle texture or lack of sauce. The restaurant has vibrant decor and murals that transport you to a diverse neighborhood. Every employee who helped us was approachable and kind, checking on us after we were seated and served, going as far as taking photos for us when we asked because we were celebrating our anniversary, and bringing out things we asked for once we were seated. It seems basic to say that, but the warmth and kindness was felt from each employee we interacted with, and I don't want to gloss over their good service. Our order: - Angry Pho Birria Platter - Elote + Chips - Strawberry Lemonade - Ube Horchata The pho (a little spicy) and bao (a little sweet with super tender meat) will make you want to do a happy dance. The wings could have been a little crunchier but they were sauced so it's understandable. The Bang Bang and Spicy Chili flavors were delicious. The Birria tacos were good, but we loved everything else on the platter more. The Elote + chips starter was authentic and yummy. The chips felt like an odd pairing, but it tasted good together! The Strawberry Lemonade was sweet but refreshing. The Ube Horchata was creamy and delicious. Not too sweet, and the ice didn't ruin it. Know before you go: - Arrive early! We got there when they opened at 11 AM on a Friday. Two other parties were already there and waiting to dine, as well. By 11:30 AM, a nice-sized crowd had rolled in. They had no problem getting everyone served quickly, though. - You order and pay first, grab a seat, and then they bring your food out to you. - Yes, the platter sizes are sufficient for two hungry adults to fill up on! You might even have trouble finishing it all. - Their online menu has awesome pictures of each platter option. The platters look smaller in person than in those photos, but as I said, you will definitely get full. - My husband, who is not a pho lover, loved the Angry Pho. - They are closed on Saturdays and Mondays. - They have gluten-free and halal options.

I ordered the basil fried rice (spice level 2) and the pork fried crispy rolls. The spice level 2 gave the rice a subtle kick - noticeable but not overwhelming - which is just the way I like it. The basil fried rice was packed with egg, bamboo shoots, baby corn, mushrooms, bell peppers, white onions, fresh basil, and garlic. The flavors were balanced, and the portion size was VERY generous - this was way more than single meal for me. The crispy pork rolls were also very good. They were filled with pork, green onions, glass noodles, carrots, white onions, and cabbage, and served with a thin sweet & sour sauce that complemented them nicely without being too heavy. Even though I ordered them as an appetizer, they arrived midway through my meal, so not the best timing. The fountain machine wasn't working, so drinks were $2.50 for a can of soda with no refills. That felt a bit steep for a canned drink. I count that as a downside of the visit. Overall, the food was flavorful and generously portioned. With small improvements on the drink situation and meal timing, it could easily be a 5-star experience.

They don't deliver themselves but we've had all orders delivered in under 30 minutes which is great when you're really hungry. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 only because of errors and inconsistencies. They've made a mistake on every single order (eating chicken fried rice right now even though I ordered pork; last order came with extra rice instead of the extra eggs I ordered, etc.). So nothing major but it has happened on every order of food for 2 people. As far as consistency, I'm referring to things such as spice levels. I ordered a level 5 spice one time and it was decently spicy but nothing crazy. I ordered that same item another time with a spice level of 3 and could barely eat it because it felt like I was eating straight heat. The mistakes and inconsistencies haven't been enough to stop us from ordering though since we really do enjoy their food, and the portions are generous. I've been there in person once to pick up a replacement order after one of the errors b/c they don't have their own delivery drivers so there's no way to bring you the correct food order after the initial delivery.
