I am new to trying Thai food after loosing a bunch of weight. I'm starting to branch out and try new food. My nutritionist suggested Thai food, so I tried Thai Noodle Wave in Garland. I ordered vegetarian spring rolls and Udon Cashew Noodle. It's a small restaurant but they do have a sit down area as well as a to go order area. The place is super clean and everyone was super friendly. A lady greeted me right as I was walking in the door and helped me navigate the menu which was super kind. We even talked through the spice choices! I don't love my food super spicy so a 1 or 2 was enough for me. I ordered to go and waited about 10ish minutes. I was offered a drink while I was waiting which was nice so I chose an ice water to go. I couldn't wait until I got home so I tried a bit in the car and it is AMAZING! I've already invited my girlfriends to meet me there next week and sent pictures! read more

I ordered here recently to go and was super disappointed. I have tried several other locations of noodle wave, and I usually enjoy their food. I guess each location is different and I shouldn't expect it to be consistent across the board. I ordered the pad kee now - the noodles were over cooked and there was too much tamarind in the fish, which made the dish not taste what it should taste like. I also ordered the panang curry and the tofu also was over cooked and way too chewy. The only dish I ordered that was decent was the fried rice. So 2 out of dishes were an absolute let down. Unfortunately, I won't be returning to this location. I prefer the McKinney location the best. read more

Came here with family that was visiting during Mother's Day. We had quite the spread with the crab Rangoon, herbal chicken, Mongolian beef, pad see ew, crispy chicken green curry and Tom yum soup. We had it family style with 6 people and it was more than enough food. We even had leftovers. Since it was Mother's Day, they also gave all the mothers a slice of cheesecake, which was a nice sweet touch. I don't know what's been going in Dallas lately but the quality of Thai food has been declining. Some of my favorite spots that used to always consistently deliver in quality and quantity just don't seem to do it anymore. A common theme is that most of these places are under new management. Enter Thai Noodle Wave. Although this is a chain restaurant, this place absolutely feels like a stand alone family restaurant. Walking in always feels homely and welcoming and the staff is always very friendly. We've eaten here and have ordered from here several times and we find ourselves coming back especially with other thai restaurants declining in quality. This is a halal restaurant so you can pretty guarantee that the ingredients served here are fresh and clean. The Khao Soi is the absolute best item on the menu here. The healing ability of the broth infused with creaminess from the coconut milk as well as the spice from the meat and spices and sauces hit perfectly especially with the soft and crispy noodles. Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mow, and the Basil Fried Rice are all solid options here. The only reason I can't give this place a perfect rating is because there was one day where I did have to wait almost 2 hours for an ordered I had scheduled at 7pm (came out at 9). I'm sure it was a bad day in the kitchen. read more

Bummer! It's changed hands again or they have new chefs but really disappointed in our lunch today. Crispy chicken rolls are not as fresh. They use to be light colored but are now dark colored and just not as good. Singapore noodles taste bland and not as tasty as in the past. Attention to detail is not there any more. All appetizers and entrees and soup brought out at same time. Staff is not trained in this and waiter brought my tea and was holding the mug where you put your lips and not holding the handle or bringing it on a saucer. I had to correct him. Consistently Amazing - Highly Recommend! My husband and I have been coming to Noodle Wave for probably over 20 visits, and I've tried just about everything on the menu. We usually come once a week as a treat with our kids, and they absolutely love it. The kids' menu is a great value for what it offers, and while it's not the cheapest spot to eat, the price points feel very fair for the quality and freshness of the food. The food is always fresh, never overcooked, and consistently served warm. I really appreciate the variety they offer--there's something for everyone. They have a nice balance of Thai and Indian-inspired cuisine, which I think is a unique and great combination. Their Thai tea is fantastic, and their ice cream is always a hit! I also really enjoy their iced coffees, though they are on the sweeter side for us since we prefer minimal sugar. The service is always top-notch. The servers are attentive, friendly, and kind. We had a minor mix-up with an ice cream order once, and without me even asking, they fixed it immediately and didn't charge us for it. That's the kind of care and attention to regular customers that goes a long way. As for the overall experience, I'd give it a 10 out of 10 for food, cleanliness, and customer service. I like this place a lot, but I haven't been in awhile. Wait staff is always friendly and the food presentation is always so pretty. Food is flavorful as well. However, today I got an order to go and I was p*ssed to see that my veggie spring rolls were completely over-fried and burned. They were soaking with grease and they forgot the dipping sauce as well. I can handle a lot of things but to me - a cook knows when they've messed up something like spring rolls by just LOOKING at it. And they boxed this crap up anyway and sent me on my way, knowing it would end up in the trash. That's not a simple mistake or mixup, that's intentionally giving a customer a bad product. My friends are obsessed with this place, so we all came to see what the hype was about! Service is great, and the staff is really friendly. They also gave us little cups of free delicious-smelling soup that turned out to be a porridge of some kind. My friends and I ordered the papaya salad to share, and it was delicious. I couldn't stop eating it. The papaya was really fresh and crunchy. I ordered a crab fried rice, which I thought was more bland and not well seasoned but adding chili oil helped a lot. They put a lot of crab into the fried rice, and the portion size was huge. Pricing isn't bad at all, and I can see why this brings a lot of nostalgic memories for my friends. read more

This place is off the hook! We came on Sunday right at opening and were quickly seated. The staff is attentive and friendly. The dining room is spacious. But the food was the real star we had a large crowd so we were able to try a variety of dishes and every single one of them was impeccable. I was pleased to see their lunch portion prices were really reasonable and the menu was broad. I chose the cashew stir fry with chicken and it was plenty for me. Came here for lunch today and waited a little bit for a table the hostess was great. When she got to greeting us she immediately was able to seat us at the table. The menu was handed to us and we immediately knew what we wanted. I got the Thai green coconut curry with a medium spice level. Being as it was just lunch and I had to go to back afterwards I figured that would be the safe route for the spice level. When the food arrived a soup arrive which was a pleasant surprise as I was not expecting a soup before my meal. When the curry arrived I first tasted the soup I did wish it was more spicy then it was. The vegetables still had a little bite to it which was great as it was not mushy. The beef was cut thin and the broth made it flavorful. Overall the experience was good. Crab Rangoon was pretty delightful. I order the Tom Kha with tofu... there was so much tofu that I had to take half of it out and there was still too much. At least they aren't greedy with their ingredients. I will never get that soup again, however. It was not very good and tasted a little on the strange side. The sweet and sour soup that comes out as a complimentary appetizer was really good though. Should have just gotten a massive bowl of that. I also wanted to point out the fact that when you walk in the restaurant, it smells like sewage. Am I the only one that picked up on that?! Honestly, if I wasn't in such a time crunch to eat and get back to work, I would have turned right around and left after smelling that. Will I go back? Yes. I love the tom Cha and Tommy Yum soup. my husband likes their fried rice. I also like their basil, fried rice and their crispy basil chicken everything is always delicious. I like it that has a nice amount of spice portions or of a nice size. My son always finds his very filling, he gets the orange chicken they kind of make it for him because it's not an on the menu item. The food here is good, have been coming for years. The Pad Thai, Spicy Basil Rice, Green Curry are great. The price tends to fluctuate based on who answers the phone which I find odd.. BUT the customer service is just awful, to the point where I will not be returning. I have dined in and ordered to go & every time I step in the building I am ignored for at least 10-15 minutes before someone decides to acknowledge me. Customer service matters and it's no longer something I can overlook. There are Thai places that are just as good but are a little further down the street and from now on I will just be making that drive for the customer service and consistency. read more

Stopped by on a whim. Was pretty busy for 3:30 pm on a Sunday which we took as a good sign! Got the veggie egg rolls which were delicious the dipping sauce was great. For entrees we got the sesame chicken udon which was good but the noodles needed a sauce they were a bit lacking in flavor. I got the pad kee mow with beef spice level 4 which was soo good! BROKEN GLASS found in Larb Gai Salad!!! We used to frequent this location often. Read the reviews recently and saw comments about delays which I set aside. Seems like this location has changed owners/management but it was true. I came late lunch hours (2pm) and there were only a couple of dine in tables. Still took 50 minutes to prepare my order of a Thai tea, a Larb Gai (minced chicken) salad and a side of roti. I was just going to set that aside and not leave a negative comment about wait time. But then, I had the first small crunch from salad and I didn't think of anything as sometimes there may be fragments of bone from chopped chicken? After almost finishing my salad, I crunch down on a larger chunk and thank god I pulled it out of my mouth. It was a whole fragment of GLASS!!!! I will never go back. read more

Grabbed lunch to go and got the crab cream cheese crab rangoons, Lao style papaya salad with peanuts, and a big noodle dish I think it was called Pad Kee Mow with ground chicken. Crab rangoons: bomb. Right off the bat you taste the real crab flavor. Plenty of filling with very thin wrapper. Papaya salad: had high hopes but was disappointed. It was just WAY TOO SALTY. If you get this make sure you order lots of white rice. Pad Kee Mow: flavor was really really good. Just wished they cooked the vegetables more, the peppers were damn near raw. The best food I've ever had in garland, I ordered the crispy pan fried egg noodles which is probably the best tai dish I've ever had. It has so much flavor, the perfect layer of spice, and the beef was beyond tender. The staff were super nice and the food came out pretty quickly given how good it was. I have never used the "race" card for a restaurant but I am using it today. I have been going to this restaurant for at least 5 years and have never been treated the way I was treated today. We sat there for over 45 minutes and saw people come in after us and receive their food. We were told that they were busy because of Ramadan and you could see how busy they were but, when you see a multitude of to-go orders being filled and numerous people of Muslim Faith ( we could tell by their dress) who came in after us in large and small groups, received their food and ate while we were still waiting it became quite obvious. The manager said that "these people have been fasting all day" - that does not make it right. So disappointing. How can I ever recommend this place to anyone knowing the treatment they will receive. read more
