Chicken with broccoli was well velveteen and taste was excellent. Kung pao chicken was perfect spice and just yummy. Chicken with vegetables also was perfect heat and taste. We were particularly impressed with the vegetable egg rolls and home made hot mustard sauce. We will return.

The inside is your typical Chinese restaurant. You can all ahead or order inside, either way it's not a long wait. Food is a 10/10. I really enjoyed it and you will deff have left overs. Cheap for a lot of food.

I look back at my time in Dallas. My boyfriend and I love Chinese food. A lot of our dinners were spent eating amazing Chinese food. We stayed in Plano. After he came back to the hotel from work, we decided to give Master Wok a try. The puns came out. Let's wok to dinner. Wok and roll. Wok the heck! For the record, he started the whole pun duel that I got sucked into. We drove over to Master Wok, which seemed to be in a fairly quiet plaza just after 6 pm on a Monday night. Next to it was a burger place that was dead. A staff member was sitting there, wondering whether we were heading inside. Sorry, bud. There were customers in Master Wok. It was a good sign. A huge aquarium with goldfish greet you when you walk in. You know that it's a traditional, established Chinese restaurant. The idea is that you go up to the front and place your order. If you order a drink, you fill up at the fountain drink area. You can also get water there, too. My boyfriend and I have similar food tastes when it comes to Chinese food. We like some spice. It's the protein that differs. He went with spicy garlic beef. I went with spicy garlic chicken. He asked for steamed rice that comes with the meal. I was bold and tried the fried rice. We found a booth and sat down. The restaurant is dated. It feels like you are in a 70's restaurant. It works, though. The man who was orchestrating the orders let us know that our orders were ready. We headed up to the counter to fetch our food, and sat down to chow down. The chicken and beef are not battered, which was refreshing. The chicken is white chicken meat by default. Impressive! The beef and chicken were tender and flavourful. The level of spiciness was perfect. Both our dishes got a ton of celery, carrots, and onions. We both loved that. I joked that I had made up for my lack of celery in my diet for the last three days just with my spicy garlic chicken dish. He laughed. The cooking here reminded me of my mom's cooking. It was home away from home. I would recommend not ordering the fried rice and sticking with regular steamed rice. The fried rice did not have any flavour, or any peas or carrots. It was essentially steamed rice with a bit of soy, heated up. We had a decent meal here. We were happy. I'd come back here again. The portions are decent for the price that you pay. (77)

So I'm finally writing a review after I've visited about 4-5 times. I actually like the quality of food & food portion they provide with cheap pricing. However, for the 2nd time I've asked for NO NUTS in my Kung Pao Pork & for the 2nd time they've put nuts in my meal. I'm enjoying my meal until I dig to the bottom & boom a plethora of nuts I have to pick out. Now if I had a peanut allergy I would be at the hospital by now. Oh don't worry I've called & complained about it just to get an attitude & hung up on. I opened my meal before I left & didn't see any nuts so I figured everything was okay, but I guess they hide them at the bottom now. I've given them chance after chance & have put them above other Chinese restaurants but today was my last time ordering from here. I'm done picking out nuts because someone isn't doesn't their job. Again, have restaurants just disregarded veggies in fried rice?

I started eating at Master Wok for lunch because it was across the street from where I started working in 2012. Ate here regularly until I changed jobs across town in 2017. To this day the woman who owns it and takes the orders still knows my order even though I only make it in a couple of times a year - Chicken Chow Mein with extra crispy noodles. This will always be my favorite Chinese food. Great service and great food.

Was in Plano for a wedding and after checking into my hotel I was looking for Chinese food. Yelp said this was the closest place (with a good rating) so I went. I couldn't have been happier!! The "House Chicken" was the special of the night and it was fantastic!!! I couldn't stop eating it. I also ordered the beef lo mein noodles. They were just ok. BUT the next day I had some cold from the fridge and WOW what a difference! They were great. If I lived in the area, I'd be going back all the time.

Great hole in the wall place for cheap and delicious chinese food. Fresh vegetables and meals served hot. Food is quick to order and everything we have tried, delicious. Crunchy wings, tasty egg rolls, and great combination platters. Shrimp and broccoli in white sauce is my favorite. Lots of shrimp for the price. My new go to place besides Lucky 99.

We were greeted right away and the restaurant is welcoming with an assortment of booths and some large round tables. The server was friendly and she provided great service throughout our meal. We started with the steamed dumplings which were honestly middle of the road and we the weakest part of our meal. The entrees were uniformly outstanding. We had the Beef Chow Fun which tasted great and was less oily than versions we have had elsewhere. We also had the combination crispy noodles which were well prepared with tender beef and some great shrimp. We capped it off with the General Tso which was delicious. Yes, completely inauthentic but so tasty!! This restaurant is absolutely one of the best Chinese spots in the DFW area. Highly Reccommended!

But the reviews were suspiciously glowing, so curiosity (and hunger) won. We pulled up and I took one look at the building: older, unremarkable, zero curb appeal. Classic "meh." Inside, several large round tables with lazy Susans, red tablecloths, and Chinese lanterns. They first sat us in a booth but I requested later on to be moved to a large round table since we ordered A LOT. But back to when we first sat in the booth - As a Chinese woman, the second I spotted the older seats with ripped upholstery, it hit me like a culinary prophecy: this place was going to serve me some incredible, authentic Chinese food. I don't know what it is, but there's an inverse law of Chinese restaurants: the less fancy the exterior (and the more the booth looks like it's survived several natural disasters), the better the food. Apparently they skip Instagram-worthy renovations and put the budget where it belongs--on the plate! This is now hands down in my top 3 favorite Chinese restaurant in North Dallas - I can even say it's on the very top. I haven't forgotten about the staff. They deserve 10 stars. Super nice!

We arrived on a Wednesday evening around 7 p.m., and surprisingly, we were the only customers there, considering it was peak dinner time. We also discovered that we needed to pre-order the duck in advance. Luckily, the lady informed us that there was one available for us, but it would take about 30 minutes. We ordered the crispy cucumber salad, xiao long bao, and the dry-fried string beans. The dry-fried string beans were my favorite. The string beans had a delightful crisp texture and a flavorful taste. The cucumber salad was also good, but some parts were a bit soggy. The XLB skin was too thick and chewy, and it didn't taste like the usual soup dumplings, which was disappointing. I was excited for the duck, but I was honestly disappointed when it arrived. The portions were quite small, considering it was a whole duck. It wasn't carved tableside, which was a letdown. Some parts of the duck were dry, and the skin wasn't crispy enough. To add to the disappointment, they charge extra for almost everything. If you want more pancakes or their homemade duck sauce (which tasted like black bean sauce), you'll have to pay an additional $5. Another thing to note is that they are BYOB, so you can bring your own alcohol. However, the menu pictures on Yelp are outdated, and they only offer whole Peking duck, not half orders. Overall, the food was just okay, and I'll probably try a different spot when I'm in the mood for duck again.

One of the best preparations yet. The Singapore noodle combo and Xao Long Bao did not disappoint... More importantly, the service we received was attentive, courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt. Sadly, the eggplant with garlic sauce is the ONLY reason a star is withheld for this review...it detracted from traditional Chinese style; notes of garlic eviscerated by the chef's sweetening to satisfy an American palette...Why fix something that's unbroken?...I get it. The restaurant has to cater to its customers who populate this mix use (business/lease residential) area at the NW corner of Alma and Hwy 121, but doesn't that limit its draw? Guess we'll just have to head either further south on Central (HWY 75) to the Legacy & Spring Creek areas or further west to the Preston and Warren Pkwy Frisco TX area to satisfy our authentic Chinese cuisine food cravings.
