Okay, 5th time here after a very disappointing visit to my former No.1 Thai place, Mountain Thai in Broomfield. It broke my heart that their food quality had declined after a half dozen stellar visits this year. Ordered Drunken Noodles with Chicken, medium and they were perfect, al dente, not greasy and flavored with right spice level. Didn't have to add anything to it at home and was very happy with it. If you are like my wife and and trying this Busaba location because you really enjoy the Louisville location of Busaba - save yourself the time. The menu is VERY limited and the meal I had - I am not sure it is Thai at all, but just beef sauteed in random spices, placed next to some flavorless steamed broccoli. No alcohol sales, if you want a glass of wine with dinner. It seem to be just like an order at the counter type of place but at the regular Busaba prices. Very much not worth it. It is a shame - the location in Louisville is great and Longmont could use a very good Thai restaurant. read more

I've been to the Busaba in the Louisville location before and heard that they opened up another location in Boulder. This restaurant was recommended by a friend to meet up for a quick lunch in the Boulder area, and I decided to check this place off of the to try list! We went on a Thursday around noon and had no wait for 3 people. There is plenty of parking near Busaba as the parking lot is a shared Safeway lot with many other merchants. Ambiance is decent, Busaba strikes me as a fast casual dining place. Service is fast - you are greeted at the doorway, seated quickly, and get your food after about 10 minutes. I got the chicken pad thai ($15) - while being a decent pad thai, it really didn't blow my socks off. The flavor is decent and you can taste a decent amount of sweetness and savoriness. I would probably opt for a spicier level as the lower levels provide basically no spice at all. I wished that the portion size was larger in general, more noodles, chicken, and etc. As I was leaving the place feeling hungry and wanting more. In the end, I'm not sure if I would personally come back to try the other options given the amount of other delicious food options in Boulder. You'll probably get a bigger bang for your buck if you are hungry elsewhere. But maybe the Boulder Busaba has improved in the time frame since my review, so feel free to check it out for yourself! read more

Walked over to this Thai restaurant since it was next to my hotel. I ordered their Cashew Nut Beef entree. It was quite tasty. What got me to write this review is the Mango Mousse Cake! Busaba Thai food is my go to for take out Thai food. They have 2 places in Boulder but I prefer the one down south as I can always get in and out of there in 15 minutes. I have had many of their dishes but the drunken noodles are simply delicious. The food even when ordered mild has some kick so beware of the heat level when ordering but of course that is part of the Thai experience. Service is also very good here and they go the extra mile to ensure their customers good a great Thai food experience. read more

The seating area in Busaba is on the smaller side but nice but the food packs a big flavor. Service was speedy and we didn't have to wait long for our food to come out. I had the Pineapple Curry with Fried Tofu and mild plus was perfect on the spicy scale for me. I really enjoy Thai and Busaba was good. I'm a huge fan of the Busaba in Louisville so I was super excited to hear of the Boulder location opening up. A small spot compared to the other 2 locations and very quite. I recommend for tvs to be on or some music to be played in the background. Like the Erie location, the menu was a bit limited and didn't exactly mirror everything that is being offered in Louisville and the service wasn't as great either. If I had to rate all locations the Louisville would be on top, followed by Erie, and last in line would be the Boulder location. Don't take my word for it though and try it yourself! read more

I was a regular here but I won't return here. This is the first time I ate here during peak hours. I ordered pork drunken noodles, along with everyone else in the group. As usual nothing else was said and we received our food. While eating I started to feel sick, which was weird, then I realized that the food tasted mildly of shrimp. As a person who is allergic to shrimp, this was very upsetting. If they are sharing cooking equipment with shrimp, they should at least mention it or ask about possible allergies. I talked to the front desk, and he was saying if you wanted shrimp, you need to order it. And multiple times I told him that is not it. If I did not order shrimp I would expect it not to be there due to my food allergies. Sharing cooking equipment during peak hours, I understand. But not mentioning it, and refusing to acknowledge it, I am terribly disappointed. Will not recommend for health reasons. read more

Best Thai food ever! I am originally from Seattle, where we have amazing Thai food. I have been unimpressed with every Thai restaurant in Colorado and then was recommended to try Busaba. I literally could eat here every day. It is amazing and I've loved everything I've tried. Sometimes the service has been hit or miss when I do dine in, but typically that's only when they've hired new college students and you can obviously tell they're training. Sam and DJ are our favorites and they go out of their way to make us feel at home there and provided for. When they first opened this location is was pretty rough, esthetically. They've done a lot to make it nicer inside and it's a cozy spot to have a meal with friends or family. We love it and it's my #1 recommendation to anyone looking for food in Boulder. My favorite dishes are drunken noodle with beef, chicken pad thai, basil fried rice with chicken, mussaman curry with chicken, garlic pepper beef, and the Thai iced tea. read more

So excited to see this place open a branch in SoBo!! Yes this is the same business as the one in Louisville. Excellent Thai food! It is on "spicier" side, so if you prefer medium spicy then I'd go for Mild spicy here. We usually get the Pad Thai, and Penang curry, but got to try the Pad See Ew & Massamun curry and both were cooked to perfection. You can't go wrong in this place. The ingredients feel fresh and full of flavor and texture. Pretty good prices too! We had a lovely server who even gave us extra white rice to go because their curry was too spicy for us. They stated they use real peppers in curries so can't emphasize going Mild if you like medium. Suggestion: ask for substituting white rice with Fried rice, if you order a curry, for some extra flavor. Believe it was only a $1 more. read more

This is a to-go review only. Hope to update it sometime with a dine-in experience. Didn't have to wait long for the food but while I waited I felt so bad for the staff. One guy was taking orders for all the tables and trying to run to-go orders. They were definitely understaffed for a Friday night. We were a group of 4 and all ordered noodle dishes. Pad thai, pad see ew, drunken noodles. All were very tasty but I was a little surprised that none came with lime, but it wasn't a problem because we had some at the house. The lime really kicked my pad thai up a notch. I wouldn't be surprised that this was just an oversight from the understaffed kitchen. The reason I docked it a star was because my sister hit a really spicy patch in her dish and had to cough it out for a bit. I'm sure being slammed with customers and not much staff leads to oversights but food should be mixed properly so this doesn't happen. She ordered a medium and said she probably got all the spice in that one bite. Otherwise, we all loved our dishes and I think it was the best pad thai I've had in Boulder! We'll be back! read more

I was so happy when they opened this location in Boulder as we used to drive out to Louisville regularly for it. Everything we have tried here has been outstanding- the soups, curries, etc. We always get the drunken noodles now as it is our favorite. Love, love, love the food here! Pretty good. The Thai basil fried rice was a little greasy & I wish they would add a little more basil, but still good. The veggie pan fried dumplings were good but a bit of a small portion. They gave me a hot sauce but I wish they had some duck sauce or sweet and sour sauce . Their curries & pad see yew always good. read more

I had the chicken, Tom Kha soup, mild, and the sweet-and-sour chicken with fried tofu, mild. The Tom Kha soup was delicious, perfect with just mild heat for flavor. The sweet-and-sour chicken and fried tofu was very tasty, but it was not served at a high enough temperature - it was kind of lukewarm, which is the only reason I'm not giving the restaurant five stars. We usually go to the Louisville location and have also tried the Erie one. This was our first time at this location and it will be our last. Service was generally terrible except the waitress was nice. Bussers moved at a snails pace, even with multiple parties waiting. We had to ask for normal sized plates for our meal and the staff member seemed irritated by that. The food was good, but not as good as the other locations. I didn't receive a vegetable in my curry that I requested even though it was on our bill. Just a meh experience that reflected the meh attitude of the staff. read more

The restaurant was great when it first opened, but its quality has deteriorated since then. Our last three visits have been disappointing. The service has been mediocre, with the exception of one instance where a young employee refused to refund our money for an order that was not gluten-free, despite us selecting gluten-free online. A young girl he worked with helped us out and re-made it. Furthermore, the last two times we visited, the food was subpar - wrong noodles, excessive grease, no extra veggies (that we paid for)and really dry satay. Got take away for dinner. Ran in to get a copy of the menu and was told To go online but that wouldn't work- online menus are great but you have to scroll through to see all options and we had mobility issues. So I asked for a paper menu. They have one. I begged to borrow it and reluctantly got it. After reviewing we ordered the pad Thai and pad see ew with tofu and one Tom kha soup With tofu. I really wanted my own Tom kha and should have asked about portion sizes. The soup portion was very small- about 1-1.5 cups and we were splitting it three ways! We also got edamame (funny to see that in a Thai restaurant) because they were out of spring rolls. We did get veggie egg rolls- 3 to the order. The order came out in about 20 minutes. One guy was handling the entire front of the house so there was a wait. Flavors were good though although not enough lime in the soup. Portions are small For the price- pad Thai was in a small box with about 2 cups max capacity. The total cost was $65 for dinner with such small Portions- food was okay. We did not dine there but they had table service and the dining room looked clean. Lots of parking but it is designed weird! All at an angle forcing one way traffic patterns. Very odd! read more

I have had continued issues when I order online to go at this particular location. Most of the time it is when I buy rice and I either don't get it or I get the free white rice when I paid extra for brown.
