Oishi was a great place to grab lunch! They had a wide variety of lunch specials at an affordable price, which made it the perfect spot for a lunch date with my boyfriend. I really enjoyed my Pork Katsu Box. It included Half California Roll, House Salad, Miso Soup, and Vegetable Spring Roll in addition to the Katsu. Took off a star because there was a bug in our soy sauce and the smell had a slightly stronger fishy smell than other sushi restaurants, but overall the food and service was great :)

This is one of my favorite Sushi restaurants in the area. Their prices are reasonable for what is offered and the food is consistently good. They use all of the major food delivery services but I like to eat there, I find it much more personable to dine in. We like to get the sashimi combo that offers a great selection of different sashimi, with everything from Tuna, Salmon and Yellowtail. It's certainly enough to share. Check out Oishi Sushi, you'll be happy that you did and you can rest assured that you are supporting our local restaurant community.

I'd say I'd give 4 stars for creativity. But the execution was so so. First time for me to see tempura shrimp with asparagus, mango and then wrapped in soy bean wrap. I had a different idea of how the soy bean wrap would look like since I am familiar with the tofu skin used in Chinese cooking, I thought it would be similar! The soy bean wrap is more pinkish and really doesn't have a distinct taste. This sushi was called Tokyo Love. While the soy bean wrap didn't really do much to enhance the taste, the other ingredients were fresh and good. I came here on a recommendation from a friend I met up for dinner. Service is good. The waitress seems to know my friend as repeat customer. There was only one waitress but she seemed to keep up with taking orders. The ambiance is okay, place didn't have much lighting, not a lot of decor.

Stopped by for lunch today as we were in the area for an appointment-thank you yelpers for the recommendation! Normally my go-to for first time visit is a chirashi, but with Oishi's lunch specials, 3 rolls were such a better deal that I couldn't resist. Miso soup provided to start and was very pleasantly surprised by depth of flavor. All too often the 'free' soup tastes like troubled water, but this was very nice! Then we each picked our rolls (a limited selection for the lunch special - many more are available). I had spicy tuna, spicy salmon and eel & avocado; wife had california, avocado and shrimp tempura rolls. We were both stuffed when done; texture was great (additional seeds added to outside rice on roll to provide a little crunch. As a pleasant touch, bill was accompanied by two Ferrero Rocher chocolates! Definitely will return!

Fantastic sushi place especially for lunch as we each got three rolls. I got the healthier options of avocado with cucumber, tempura shrimp, and a California roll vs. hubby who was more brave than me opting for the eel, tuna and salmon. We were really impressed by how fully stuffed these rolls were for lunch specials as usually specials are not so generous so we were both happy. Moreover the miso soup was really delicious, full of genuine miso flavor and not the instant miso soup you can make for yourself at home or the diluted miso soup you typically get at other Japanese restaurants. Surprisingly full of flavor as well as nori and tofu bits. We rolled ourselves out of there but we know we will be back.

This sushi place is next level compared to other sushi places near the area. They offer higher end selections such as Uni, ikura with quail eggs and amaebi. The prices are also very reasonable and not much more than other sushi places. Would definitely recommend them for take out. Will have to visit the restaurant setting.

Stopped in for dinner and was not disappointed in any way. The Kimchi fried rice is deliciously unique. The red snapper sashimi was perfect and melts in your mouth. The crazy tuna and spicy city rolls were incredible. The spicy city roll is a new favorite. Thanks for the wonderful service, I will be back!

One of my husband's favorite sushi places. The owner is often the waitress that serves you. Decor is simple but a little worn and torn. Other than that, their sushi is on point and never disappointing. Our favorites is the salmon crab roll appetizer. I've gotten the maki combo, their (super) spicy tuna and avocado salad as well as their Sashimi. All of these I would go back again in a heartbeat! The sushi chef use to draw cute little drawings of your plate of sushi but I haven't see this in more recent visits! I say let's bring this back

Quick friendly service. I like going to sushi spots where it's quiet and actually have cute wall decor. The lunch menu is a great price. I'll be trying the kimchi fried rice next time.

Very nice and quaint place. I went for lunch last week and enjoyed the food and service. The sushi was very good and my waitress brought my order to me quickly. She was very friendly and checked in on me in a timely manor. I got a lunch special Yakisoba with shrimp. They were NOT stingy on the shrimp. I had at least 6 pieces and they had to be x large or colossal sized at least. My roll was delicious and tasted fresh. The glass of peach Saki she recommended was yummy! I had never had it before. I will definitely be going back.

I've always enjoyed this low key restaurant. I've been going here for years and it's been the same waitress, so she knows the menu inside out and knows how to describe the sushi dishes and entrees. With that said, it's only 1 waitress and 1 sushi chef. Fortunately, tonight it was was 1 other table in the restaurant along with ours. I've been other times and it took an hr to get our food. I've learned to go on which dates and time wisely. Food is always good and fresh. Nice healthy portions. Chicken teriyaki is chicken breast topped with a bed of broccoli. I liked the fact the meat isn't floating in the teriyaki sauce. Volcano roll was also good. Their take on it was California rolls topped with a crab/fish meat concoction. It was yummy! Have you heard of crab rangoon from the Chinese restaurant? Well they have their own spin and make a salmon rangoon with an avocado jalapeño sauce! It was good!! Overall one of my favorite sushi restaurant!

Prices aren't too bad and it's not as busy. They also have authentic Japanese seating. We got the katsudon and some sushi and that was pretty good. Can't go along with a good rice bowl and beer.

So I went back for their sushi as it felt unfair to rate them on ramen when their specialty was sushi. There are very few sushi places actually owned and run by Japanese outside of big cities, people rave about this place, and I'm all for supporting them. I did order the ramen again hoping it changed. It was ok, but I resigned it is not the place for ramen. However, I will say their sushi and other appetizers are great, no lie. But my recent visit left a bad taste despite their great food. When we arrived, about 6pm, the waitress told me and my teenage daughter, "only the bar was available". There were 2 4-person tables that could be separated for a table for 2. And I noticed 2 couples already there sitting at 4 person tables. So I asked the waitress why are they seated at the tables? She said they arrived earlier and now they need to keep the tables open Ok, I get that, even though they only opened an hour ago. It's Saturday night, so I'll go with that. Well, shortly after putting in our order at the bar, I see them seat 2 people at one of the 4-person tables. And then shortly after that, they separated the other 4 seater into 2 tables and sat 2 more couples that arrived at each table. Now, I'm raising an eyebrow. I didn't say anything but before I left, I said to the waitress, I couldn't help but notice there were several couples seated at tables after us. She said oh, that couple knows the owner, referring to the first couple seated at a 4 person table (they didn't even separate the table). Ok I figured that when the owner gave a loud and enthusiastic good bye to them and the diner looked Japanese. I replied to the waitress, but then you all seated 2 more couples and pulled the table apart to accommodate them. She replied that the boss ordered them to separate the tables but he rarely does. I replied that we had arrived well before any of those 3 couples and were told we couldn't sit at the table. She just shrugged as if to say she was just following the boss' order. I left the usual 20% tip because I know the waitress didn't make the decision and she gave great service and the sushi was great. However, that said, the blatant preference of other customers felt insulting and left a super disappointing taste in my mouth. And no, they were not all Japanese. Just that one diner. The owner clearly picked and chose to not give us a table, for whatever biased reason. I could understand if I were alone or my daughter was 8, but she looks clearly like an adult. It just really sat wrong with me and left me upset enough that I question returning. It's very unfortunate that an otherwise great experience was marred by this blatant refusal to seat my daughter and I at a table, only to have salt rubbed into the wound by seating numerous couples that followed at a table, by separating the tables. They didn't even offer to seat us at the traditional tables, all of which were empty at the time we arrived. To me, the authentic Japanese sushi was not worth the insulting unexplained preference to seat other customers after us at a table. PS: the only sushi roll I didn't like was the real crab California roll. The real crab was grey and cold and tasted so fishy, I asked to make sure it was cooked real crab and not raw. (They said it was cooked). I guess I was expecting real Alaska crab white crab and it was not this at all.
