Peanut curry
Joe J.

Well the place is called noodles so maybe I should have expected as much. Both the soup and peanut sauté just had way too many noodles and not enough goodies. It's called peanut sauté, yet I couldn't find one peanut? Gimme veggies, peanuts and a sauce, then at least we have a start. Instead it was a pile of noodles all stuck together with a spice dusting the top. The service was good and the decor is what's expected from a chain. It's was bad food and I may stop back in to try something else, I don't know, for $10 bucks I was just disappointed with a plate of noodles with 4 tiny pieces of broccoli. The peanut thing kills me, if you use an ingredient in the name it absolutely must be in the taste.

Regular sized to go. I'm impressed at how full it was

I don't know why I do this to myself. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me... Almost 1 year later and my experience at this Noodles & Co. hasn't changed a whole lot. This time I ate in, rather than taking my food to go. The first thing I noticed was how carefree the staff was. It looks like all but two of the guys (possibly managers?) working here are high schoolers- maybe even college kids- home for the summer. Two of the employees were walking around pretending to talk in various accents- quite loudly and quite horribly, might I add. I'm not one to get easily offended, but this, in a way, was almost offensive. I was hard to focus on my meal, because of how loud and obnoxious these employees were. I digress. The food: my complaint from one year ago stands true today. THE NOODLES ARE STILL UNDERCOOKED. This location seems to pride themselves on the fact that they can get noodles to you quickly- regardless or whether or not they are cooked. While I was eating my meal, I got a phone call requesting a meal to go. I didn't get to try any of it, but I was impressed that this time around, the to-go portion size was actually comparable to an in-house sized portion. Unless it is free AND I can cook the noodles myself, I will not be returning here.

The dinner itself brings you on a real journey of flavors, and it is one that is never repeated twice. From the first light stop of a variation of bruschetta, that holds creamy textures and the real sweetness only homemade bread can bring, it glides you to a second course. Four to five bite-size appetizers are introduced to your palate in a manner that is akin to meeting new strangers. The variability of seafood, to the freshness of salads with seasonal combinations, to traditional tastes of Northern Italy, and the occasional heartiness of street food. We then move to our next stop, that of the one of the two main courses. Usually, as all stereotypes tend to say, a dish of pasta is served. However, there is a full range that is thoroughly explored. New landscapes of flavors are married, from saffron and blueberry to black garlic and cocoa, and many more. Yes, the traditional side is honored as well, from the chef's own region of Piedmont and its abundances in mountainous recipes and ingredients, alike the winter season that overtakes the North. To even a fully celebrated and homey wild boar ragù Bolognese, spaghetti alla Nerano, or to a pesto Genovese. It lingers on the buds, and it grows with a sense of warmth that provides a blossoming curiosity.

So, now I'm thinking those other pies weren't hell, but maybe purgatory, which made this pie even better. As for the establishment, it was clean and friendly. The parking lot was spacious. Most importantly, I went to the store and placed an order. The young cashier in a camo Tigers hat kept apologizing for something wrong with their system and the wait time. I told him, "Look, no need, I'm off the clock, so I'm happy not to be working." Besides, I'd rather them take their time and make it right instead of feeling obligated to make it quick and in a hurry. Again, a friendly place. While I'm in town, I'm definitely returning for another pie. The bottom line is that during these tough times, try to give local businesses a chance instead of these chain restaurants. You might be surprised that they're not just good, but better.

When I picked it up I told the awesome gentleman behind the counter that I'd heard good things. He said "if you hear good things, then say good things." Great advice, so here it it. We got two pizza's, the all meat and the spinach and feta, plus some garlic knots (which were great). I'm not usually a fan of all meat pizza but this was different. The sausage is not overpowering and it's not in huge clumps dotted around the pizza. It's ground fine, seasoned perfectly so it doesn't drown everything out and the other meats are equally balanced. No pepperoni that burns your soul or anything else that draws your attention away from just how good the slice really is. Even the sauce was perfection. We usually order light sauce from every place but wanted to try the first order 'as is' and we're glad we did. Not too much or too little. The second pizza we ordered was spinach and feta. Although I decided I didn't care for the cooked spinach (personal preference only) that one was equally as delicious. I cannot emphasize enough how fresh everything tasted. I don't care what anyone says. Freshness matters. You CAN taste the difference. From now on, Ray's is our pizza place. No question. Give them a try. You won't regret it. And like the man said. "If you hear good things, say good things'".

I don't even know how to begin with this review…read more.. When we arrived, we asked for a highchair and the hostess asked us to grab it for her. Not that big of a deal, but definitely odd. Our waitress smelled like cigarettes and was very inattentive. The red sangria was absolutely awful, I couldn't even drink it. The appetizer sampler was also pretty bad-it came with mozzarella sticks(fine), deep-fried mushrooms(good), and "chicken tenders"(horrible, it was chicken paste not tenders) and 1 ranch dressing for everything. The pepperoni pizza was actually very good, the crust was amazing but the sauce was very sweet which I didn't like. The restaurant was not playing any music and overall VERY chaotic. Our bill was higher than expected too for the amount of food that we got. Overall this was honestly an awful experience but I would possibly order takeout pizza.

So, we decided to come back on another cold and snowy night. We ordered the rib dinner for two. The slab was cut in half, 7 ribs on one, 8 on the other. They were big, juicy ribs with a really interesting sauce that tasted like it had some apple in it. It came with a salad with homemade croutons, and we both got their house salad dressing. The breadsticks were really good. They served butter with them, but it was unnecessary, as the breadsticks were perfection as it was. We also wanted to try the pizza because it looked so good, so we ordered a medium to go. Nice, big pieces that made my car smell amazing. I think I've found a new favorite restaurant -- even if it is 30+ minutes from home.

We had a few options for private rooms, but they suggested the main dining area for the lighting, which was really nice. There were multiple linen options we were able to choose from (pink options in pic) and these were included in the total cost. The whole room was set up according to how many seats we wanted at each table and they were fully prepared for us to start decorating as soon as we arrived. The personal bartender also arrived early and prepped the station long before guests arrived. The food was all delicious. We had buffet style (set up shown in one picture by fireplace). Way too busy enjoying ourselves to take pictures of food. The buffet was about 10 minutes later than expected, but there was a party of 80 at the same time and no one seemed bothered by this. We chose chicken tenders and fries for the kids attending and this was promptly served about 15 minutes before the buffet so the parents were able to help feed before getting their own food. Rolls- really classic white bread rolls. Exactly what you want. Green beans - these were sooo good! Very buttery and surprising! Potatoes- hasselback style, cut in halves. Also so buttery and perfectly salted. Tuscan chicken- thin sliced chicken breasts with sun dried tomato and a creamy Tuscan sauce. This was extremely delicious. Salmon- I cannot remember the flavor we chose but perfectly cooked and flavorful, cut into about 1.5" pieces so it didn't feel overwhelming to choose one of everything. Salad - classic salad with tomato and cucumber. We chose a ranch and vinaigrette. The table had Parmesan cheese, half and half creamer, sugar, and butter available. They allowed us to bring in our own cupcakes as dessert ($1/person) and served regular/ decaf coffee with this. This room could definitely fit more people. Our set up was 6 round tables of 6 but they were very flexible with how we wanted these set up and number of chairs per table. Overall, great experience. I can't wait to come back for dinner!

To broaden our experience, my friend and I split everything we ordered. Dinner was AMAZING....5/5 APPETIZER: "Burrata Camponata" A mound of this heavenly Eggplant Relish, severalthick slices of fresh Burrata oozing cheese, and a big mound of imported, freshly shaved Prosciutto off of the special shaver that sits in the dining room for the dishes that require this beautifully seasoned ham. Absolutely delicious appetizer! The basket of fresh Italian bread and olive oil for dipping was put to use with our glasses of Chianti and then enjoyed very soon as an olive oil topped bread base for our well-placed trio of this gorgeous appetizer. Next, for the salad, we chose to split the "Charred (on a hot coal grill !) Romaine on the grill Caesar Salad" with an anchovie garnish The perfectly seasoned croutons were made in-house, and so was their most divine (BEST I've ever had) Caesar dressing! We split 2 Entrees: Pasta Carbonara created in the imported, authentic, giant Parmesan wheel table-side Espresso-encrusted Prime cut sirloin steak Med Rare with roasted redskins and fresh, petite green beans. It was the most tender cut of beef with huge flavor, made even more so from the grill. It was perfection, simple fare, highest quality of ingredients, all prepared and presented beautifully. The staff were always attentive, though not smothering, and genuinely friendly with a ready smile. DESSERT: We split "heaven-in-your-mouth" x2 : a piece of Dubai Chocolate cheesecake and a serving of the Tiramisu. "Ecstasy," is all we could say as the perfect wrap-up to this gourmet trip to Italy Mangiabevi, you haunt me daily until I return.

Our dinner started with easy to make reservations for four for a Friday night. Once arrived we were promptly seated and introductions made, Annie was our server(and more). I had note seen the menu in over a year so I personally was delighted to see plenty of ocean going features, specifically the grilled Octopus, shellfish and more. Before the food everyone agreed on a drink. Everyone tried something different than the others. Drinks included a Chocolate Martini, Limoncello(homemade) like grandma made it) Martini, Tanqueray and Tonic and Makers Mark Old fashioned for me. Everyone agreed the drinks were just right. Annie was then asked to bring out some Grilled Octopus. A HUGE and thick long leg was then served. DELICIOUS! Dinner was ordered with some questions(by me). I was intrigued by the Black Linguine. Basically a fruit de Mare or shellfish but with white wine. I asked for a subscription to a spicy red pasta sauce, not available. However, my friends wife chose this and said it was delicious. My friend and also my opted for the table side Carbonara. Basically a long sting pasta with a cheese wheel at the table. The cheese gets heated up and then scraped and put into the pasta. Our cheese scraper was entertaining and put on a nice show. For me, I decided on the Branzino, which was served whole but deboned at the table, with sauteed spinach. From the first bite, I was in heaven. We then had a second round of drinks, the girls switched things up and went for Cosmos, us guys repeated what we had earlier. Lastly, we just had to have dessert and were we glad we did. Both couple opted to share with one another. Our friends chose the Profiterole which they said was delicious. However, everyone loved our choice; Nicciola Mousse Tart. This is a MUST get. I can't even describe it other than I should have gotten one for the road. This place also had some soft entertainment, keyboard player. So glad we made the journey here. Highly recommend it!

The barista approached us immediately taking our latte orders from a versatile coffee menu, and our lovely waitress Bailey didn't miss a beat welcoming us, fielding questions and sharing the restaurant's cool concept of "Host"-ing new chefs bimonthly representing freshly-curated menus of palate delights. She later informed us of classes held on 2nd floor for making cocktails and sushi! While enjoying our lovely lattes, we quickly ordered veggie omelets with mushroom and bacon additions that were timely served and clearly plated with care. My husband noticed there were no salt & pepper shakers anywhere, signifying the chef's confidence in his dishes! And indeed our meals needed no help, as we savored each bite of perfectly cooked omelets bursting with flavor complimented by crisp sliced potatoes dressed in a lemon drizzle.
