I came here yesterday to grab lunch for my family after my sister landed from Sacramento. She loves the duck noodle here and my mom loves their boat noodle. So I placed the order over the phone, I also got chicken fried rice for my wife, chicken basil for my nephew with no rice and my dad wanted the Suki Yaki noodles. Everything was at medium spicy except my nephew chicken basil since he can't eat spicy. I was told it would take about 20 minutes and I live close to this place. When we arrived in the afternoon, we got the parking in the front of the restaurant. I say they accept credit card now because before it was cash only. You just have to spend at least $10 minimum to pay with a card. They made our order quick because we arrived early but it was ready. They packaged the food great and there was no leak. My sister loved her duck noodle, my mom loved her boat noodle, my dad loved his Suki Yaki, my wife enjoyed her chicken fried rice and my nephew like his chicken basil. Very disappointing!!!! I was excited to eat my meal and then I opened my to go order and saw this ! $20 for a a bowl of rice because the beef with basil on rice came with 5 pieces of small beef. I just realized that I never made a review for Ras Noodle, I love this restaurant and had been coming here forever. My top two favorite dishes here are the Doo Dee noodles and the shrimp pad sew. I've tried the majority of their dishes over the years and everything is great! The dishes with wok char, like the fried rice and noodles, always have the perfect amount of flavor and aroma. I can only get mild spicy here because their spice level is true Thai spice and medium is not obtainable for me lol The service is always friendly and efficient, no frills but always clean. Everything we ordered was packed with sooo much flavor. We ordered the boat noodle soup, duck noodle soup, tom yum noodle soup, and broccoli and deep fried pork over rice. We ordered some items medium and some mild. I can take some heat but not much. The medium spice was definitely too hot for me. Even though my mouth was on fire, my taste buds were still loving the flavors of everything. The broth for all the soups had so much flavor. You have a choice of 4 different kinds of noodles : egg noodle, flat thick noodle, pho rice noodle and thin rice noodle. Boat noodle and duck noodle were my favs out of the soups that we ordered. The pork in the broccoli and deep fried pork was so crispy and the sauce added such a nice touch of flavor. I would definitely order that again. Ambiance was amazing per usual . Been coming here since I was little . And it has not changed one bit , food comes out quick , hot and flavorful , the service was good , they're always on top of it . Hole in the wall Thai restaurant, but it is probably one of the best in the valley by far ! We ordered the basil over rice with a fried egg ! And that had so much flavor , definitely recommend , the doo Dee noodles were also very delicious , the meats on there are impeccable. Staff is very kind at this family owned and cozy casual Thai spot with only indoor seating where parking is provided. At the tables, there is self service sauces and jalapeños as well as utensils and napkins. Nice variety to their menu including more chicken and beef options for certain dishes that I am not use to. We initially came in to get the mango sticky rice but ended up coming back for dinner because we were so charmed by this small business. The mango sticky rice is famous for being so good and the portion and taste was great. For dinner we got the tom yum noodle soup and the duck noodle soup. We ordered mild but as expected from a Thai restaurant the mild was full of flavor and more spice than mild but it was so good I couldn't stop eating even though my sinuses were sweating. The ladies that run this shop were full of smiles and although they don't talk much it was such a comforting environment. We will be back! The food is okay. Something different but definitely not as good as I remember. I've been here many times and I'll usually get the Tom Yum noodle soup with ground pork and slices of bbq pork. Another good dish is the pad kra pow or Thai basil chicken. Get that with a fried egg on top. After quarantining for so long I decided to try this place again and order a not so usual dish for me - the roasted duck over rice. Served over a bed of rice and gai lan (Chinese broccoli), the roasted duck looked good. It was served with a cup of broth and a sweeter dipping sauce for the duck. The sauce is what makes or breaks this dish and it was just too gooey sweet for my taste. Meh. Should've stuck to a noodle dish. The noodles are their bread and butter so if you do come, definitely order any bowl of noodles rather than a rice dish. At least you can dine inside now...maskless! read more

Stripmall basic Ras Noodle has mostly a razor sharp limited focus on Thai style noodle and rice dishes which is a good thing compared to being a "Jack of all trades and master of none". Many restaurants in East Asia are specialists serving what they do best. Ambiance is not its forté, but good eating is what you get here.  And the prices are good.  1) Doo Dee Soup: Choice of four noodles. Rice noodles that are Wide flat; Thin; Pho style; or thin wheat based noodles.  The light soup scented with Nampla/fish sauce for me is a bit too sweet as Thai cooking emphasizes the sweet tones. I put in vinegar from the pickled chiles to add an acidic gastrique to counter the sweetness as well as to enliven and increase the Umami. I chose the thin wheat noodles which was initially a bit al dente for good mouthfeel. Chopped pieces of boiled, fatty pork ribs as well as sautéed ground pork, and red tinged, roasted pork Chā Shū. It was a good exercise in all things pig.  Crunchy bean sprouts, chopped green beans, pungent cilantro, green onions, leafy greens around out the vegetal ingredients.  2) Hoy Jaw: A favourful Pâté of finely ground crab and possibly pork that may be flavoured w/ hoisin sauce, Nampla. It is surrounded by Yuba/Tōfu skin and fried for a lightly crispy finish. Really meaty, firm, fatty, rich. It is made to be eaten w/ steamed rice as a bland counter balance. Meaty, firm, fatty, rich.  In previous visits, the tasty Pad Kee Mao/Drunken Noodles are stir fried wide rice noodles w/ complex taste redolent w/ Holy Basil, long bean, piquant chiles, pork and Umami laden Nampla.  3) Pad See Yu is similar to Pad Kee Mao but without the chiles with more of a brown oyster sauce fermented soy bean like flavouring that adds a more monotone earthiness.   4) Coconut Crêpe Cake by Mina is thinly multi-layered thin Crêpes interlarded w/ heavy cream & coconut milk. Ultra velvety, moist, dairy creamy. Cup of extra sweet, thick, smooth, coconut sauce to pour on top at your discretion.  Coconut Palm Juice is sweet w/ a toasty, lightly fermented earthiness. On the rocks chilled the Coconut Palm Juice for a more refreshing pause between bites.  Must try their Thai version of Japanese Sukiyaki and curious about Doo Doo Noodles w/ fish balls.  4- stars read more

I'm not from Los Angeles: I'm from the other side of the country. We have good Thai food, but on the recommendation of an old friend we met here at Ras Noodle. We took some of his recommendations, like the mango salad! Glad we did. Amazingly, great combination of flavors. The idea that I could mix mango and garlic together before tonight would have been a deal-breaker for me. Not anymore. I had the duck over rice entree and was absolutely amazed with how tender and flavorful it was. Additionally, the rice flavored with Jasmine, and was perfectly cooked. Sometimes you order from a restaurant and the rice is hard and clumpy. Not here. The rice was easy to pick up with chopsticks, but soft and chewy. Honestly, I understand my friends love of this hole in the wall establishment. If I actually lived in this general area, I would be eating here a lot more. Absolutely a great restaurant! read more

They made their dishes quite tasty but because I am not a fan of MSG, the flavoring was a bit strong for me. My favorite restaurant in L.A.! I have been coming here for more than a decade and this is authentic Thai restaurnt that has some of the best thai noodle soups among other things. I believe my go to dish, Doo Dee Noodles, can only be found here. The most delicious clear broth, 4 kinds of pork, dried shrimp, string beans, bean sprouts, cilantro, fried garlic and peanuts.
