It was an unmemorable experience due to what most restaurants & businesses at that time were trying to get over. The lingering effects of the pandemic were devastating to this industry & others. What had been done to all, especially the restaurant industry - shortage of staff, difficulty rehiring, cost to run businesses escalating rapidly etcetera ... made things difficult to get over. So I found eating there at that time to be kinda boring. Move over to today - 2025 & voila - what a difference. There's something on point about the vibe here at this location - Kitsilano (Kits) Beach. Our server was awesome & funky. The Kale salad delivers 100% on taste = tremendous! The Gnocchi - munch, chew & chew = ahhhh. The Sausage & Chili pizza was done right! The crust was thin & tasty. The ingredients were delicious. This one has a slight kick to it. We had a splendid time eating at the communal table (full house this afternoon & only table available or wait 1 hour) & thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. This is a cozy location where the cool people come to eat & be seen. Italian themed but so much more. If you're down here at Kits Beach & with a group of friends - I highly recommend you pop in!

Everything we ordered was outstanding. We had the meatballs, Caprese salad, mushroom bruschetta, and the Bolognese pasta, and every single dish was full of flavor. It's rare to leave a restaurant already planning your next visit, but the meal was so good that we're coming back again tomorrow. Our server, Angela, was wonderful. She was friendly, welcoming, attentive, and had such a positive disposition throughout the evening. She checked on us regularly and even tracked down a Coke Zero for us, which was greatly appreciated. I also want to recognize one of the managers (Asian male). While making his rounds through the dining room, he noticed that we hadn't been given plates after our food was delivered. Before we even had to ask, he quickly brought them over and handled the situation smoothly and professionally. It's those little moments of attention to detail that make a difference. The atmosphere was lively and enjoyable. The restaurant was busy, FIFA was on the TVs, music was playing, and it created a fun, energetic dining experience. I can't compare it to the previous menu because this was our first visit, but if this is the new direction, congratulations to the entire team. You absolutely nailed it. 5 out of 5 stars. We made reservations via Open Table about 1-2 months before our trip and noted that we were celebrating a special occasion (anniversary). When we arrived, the hostess and our server both made a point to wish us a Happy Anniversary, and even offered us some complimentary flutes of Prosecco! This was unexpected and so thoughtful of them! It was also the night before my half marathon, so I hesitated to drink, but what the heck...why not?! It was a special occasion too after all! (Even so, my hubby drank most of mine haha) We're both plant-based athletes and fitness professionals, so we truly appreciate that they have really good vegan and vegetarian options here.
