We called Chad at Nor Cal Leaks yesterday, and we were shocked that he was able to come out yesterday, he spent 45 minutes finding the leak , and 3 hours to fix it. The last time we had a leak it was a nightmare. American leak Detection took several hours to find the leak and the leak wasn't whe re they said it took two days n o water and alot of patience. He also identified that we didn't have a main shut off that was available for the house....we only had the city turn off valve at the street. Did not show up on time as promised. Had a untrained helper do the work while he sat in truck. Wanted to be paid after they supposedly finished work and it was now dark. After telling him we would pay in the am (10 hours later) when it was confirmed that work was completed, he started yelling at us at doorway telling us how he needed money. We found the next day that there were many repairs after his work was supposedly completed including replacing the plumbing he installed and rewiring the automatic sprinkler system that got compromised in his "repair" Whole experience was a nightmare read more

We had a leak in our front yard that needed to be addressed quickly. I called Nor Cal Leaks and Chad was able to come out the same day and take a look at the problem. He not only found the issue but also fixed it in the same afternoon! You could hardly even tell where the hole had been dug to get to the leaky pipe. I am conflicted about leaving a negative review because I like Chad and think he is very hard working. But ultimately he did not deliver and still charged me in excess of the original amount quoted. Initially he quoted $450 to find a main line water leak and $250 to fix it ($700 total). But three visits later he indicated the whole main line needed to be replaced, and charged $900 for his effort leading to that diagnosis. I understand people need to be paid for their time, but really feel a compromise should have been made since the deliverables were not met and I was in the exact same position before he started the job. That said he did provide some discount on the quote to replace the main water line - totaling about $4300. I think that Chad/NorCal would be more than great at taking care of simple and straightforward jobs. There were some aspects of my situation/property that were more challenging and unique. But I do think that the bad water line diagnosis could have been made much more quickly and for a lot less than $900. One last minor point but possibly a negative for some people. I did get the sense that Chad was squeezing my in between other jobs. He was here multiple times for short periods in the evening and in the dark. Perhaps a bigger block of time could have led to a swifter diagnosis and less costs. read more

Had a leak between the water meter and my house. Chad from Nor Cal Leaks came out on a Friday to assess the situation and let me know the best course of action would be to replace the water main line from the curb to my house. He gave me an very reasonable estimate to replace the line with 3/4 inch PAX pipe as well as all the needed attachments and a brand new shut off and hose bib and copper line going into house. He came back on Saturday with Jimmy to dig the trench for the new pipe. My soil has a lot of clay and is super hard to dig into, so it did take most of the day Saturday and they even came back Sunday to finish up and get everything done. Chad does great work, communicated well, and got all our plants put back where they go and cleaned up everything to make our yard look even better then it looked before! I had a leak from the main to my house and two local plumbers told me there was no way to detect the leak other than digging up the pipe. Not only that, they had the craziest plan to repipe the house that was going to be very expensive. Luckily, I called a guy from American Plumbing and he recommend Chad Flora, a leak detection specialist who did have the equipment to find the leak. This can save a lot of money and mess. Unfortunately, my pipe was ancient PVC and the whole did need replacing. Chad had it all repaired with the latest Pix hoses and he also put in a new faucet, and capped the old intake and put in a new one.
