Their warranty on work done was another key factor. An electrician found a dead rat and droppings in the attic, so I needed clean up and rodent proofing. In the crawl space, a bunch of the ducts were unattached by wear and tear and plumbing work that had been done in the past (which I didn't know. No wonder my gas bill was so high over the winter!). Shannon and team cleaned everything up, sanitized, reattached the ducts and rodent proofed the whole house on the outside. Apparently the attic was vulnerable, as prior owners' foam had been chewed through in the eaves. After they were done they set traps which will be checked every few weeks. I will update if there are any further rodents but I am confident in the work by the company and team. I highly recommend this family owned company.

The guy who came out was on time, a bit eccentric and very passionate about rats. He was detail oriented and did a great job explaining the job and its breakdown. Unfortunately on the day of the job, we had 4 guys come to our home on time- but none of them spoke English. Now, I appreciate them coming out, but we just could not communicate and they did not have work trucks or shirts with their company name. An hour later, we had a younger guy show up and he spoke English. The crew worked really fast, did a nasty job of removing our rodent infested insulation and put in new insulation, they mixed concrete and patched up some holes as well and put out rat traps. They came back twice to check the traps and removed them. I think they did a good job, appreciate their punctuality. But management should always send someone who speaks some English and provide a company truck or at least shirts. I personally felt uncomfortable letting into my home a group of random men with no identification.

We had a party w/ lots of little kids recently, so we do a hard-target search for maybe an errant chicken wing or something stuck in an un-intended space by a kiddo... no dice. I start to think is smells similar to a dead mouse or rat, possible in the walls or crawl space; increasing smell, so I put out a Yelp! Project on a possible dead animal removal/inspection. Yami @ Honest Rodent Proofing was 1st to respond, so setup a Monday AM inspection. Sunday the smell is a bit stronger in that one area, rest of the house seems fine. da Work: The technician Sam arrives early to do an inspection, agrees there is a faint smell, but is not sure if it's a dead animal (and he'd know?!). He does the inspection of the perimeter, then the crawl space under the house, going directly under the kitchen/dining room area and did not see any sign of animal activity. He also peeked in the attic area and did not smell or see anything up there as well. FRUSTRATING! da Service: Sam said since he didn't find anything to remove nor did he see any tunneling near the foundation or entry along the roof, that there was no charge. He advised to see how it goes the next few days if the smell get worse or we see flies inside the house, to get them back; that it was possible whatever it is, is in the walls, but until we can pinpoint it better, finding it randomly is tough. While it's frustrating that we didn't find a cause yet, it's somewhat comforting that nothing was found initially; I was picturing a rat or squirrel rotting away under the house. Yami was quick to gets us scheduled and helpful, while Sam did his best to discover what was up. Excellent and quick communications will have me going back to them if needed and in the future. Honest Rodent Proofing is just that, honest and earned my repeat business. Keeping our fingers crossed that we don't need a priest to get rid of this fleeting smell!

The day of the appointment, at the time of the appointment, I received a txt message from the technician mentioning that they would not be able to make the appointment as they were double booked. He proposed to re-schedule the appointment. I had already taken the morning off to meet the technician, with hours and income loss. But, I decided to re-schedule for the upcoming Tuesday. Tuesday comes around, and again I take time-off work and income loss to meet with the Technician, and they don't show up the appointment. This was the second time of missed work and income. I reached out to the Company to advice them and they prompted that they could reschedule me, but at this point my trust was already broken. The Company didn't take my time seriously. Company's should learn to appreciate that their customers are taking time out of their day to meet with these technicians, which translates to missed income or having to substitute the time-off with vacation time that can be used for the family.
