A review should help the establishment- as soon as I saw the girl by the name of Kaitlyn, I believe, I knew my drink was going to lack the flavor. Please please have more care in making drinks. There is nothing worse than looking forward to savoring a drink only to taste it and be disappointed. The customer service lacks as well. Retain your customers by acknowledging a mistake - it happens- and make the experience better. My first experience with a sales representative by the shoes treats me like low quality person acting like if I wasn't going to purchase anything. Today I go in. I get starred down and followed around the shoe section trying to purchase a Dior shoe I was trying to purchase.they didn't even ask if I needed help. i am a loyal nordstrom customer spending, tens of thousands of dollars annually for over 20+ years. today I went to the Nordstrom's on Topanga to return a shirt. I bought my husband on Christmas Eve of 2024. I purchased it at Brunello Cucinelli and was told that I miss the return date. I said I buy things all the time here I had spent thousands of dollars that day Brunello Cucinelli and they told me that they refused to give me my money back. They claim that there was a 30 day return policy. Which I can't find on their website or anywhere, even at the store point of purchase the store manager, whose name is Brandy Ames was extremely rude to me. She was actually laughing and smiling when she told me that she was not going to refund me or give me any credit. I cannot believe this I feel extremely betrayed by this retailer. We have just been through all the fires around here and I have just gotten a minute to recover from those plus my mother has been hospitalized for months and I'm dealing with that as well. I have shopped at Nordstrom for years and never had an issue. Today's experience was the first time I actually felt disrespected. I took my 4 and 6 year old girls to the kids' shoe department for some back to school shopping. Admittedly, my girls were running around having fun as they always do but nothing over the top. Despite my making sure the girls cleaned up after themselves, an employee, Pamela, started audibly huffing and puffing like we were a burden for being there. She even made a rude gesture about my children towards one of her co-workers. I watched Pamela to make sure it wasn't all in my head but I realized she started to get angry and directed her anger towards my girls. As a result, I approached her to speak up against her conduct. In response, she put on a noticeably fake smile, dismissed my complaint, and left to the back room. I spoke with the manager about her behavior and he admitted her behavior was wrong. I don't know if she was having a bad day but her attitude towards children was absolutely inexcusable. Someone who doesn't like kids should NOT be working in kids' retail. read more

I had a positive experience today with Suzette M, the Customer Experience Manager at Nordstrom Topanga. I had a minor issue with a return of multiple items from different orders being processed back to a single card instead of the respective card for each order. This caused a small issue with my credit card company. The credit card company itself was not helpful. However, I called Nordstroms just to see if they could help and was connected to Suzette. Suzette was very kind, communicated clearly and seemed to genuinely care despite my issue being very minor (to the point that I myself wasn't going to continue following up if I never heard back). Suzette resolved my issue and left me feeling very satisfied. It was a positive experience in customer service and I am grateful for Nordstrom and Suzette's help. Thank you! read more

Nordstrom Topanga has made it incredibly easy to purchase gifts and pick them up via curbside. Just a tip to those who do it: the curbside pickup is on the 2nd floor in the structured parking lot. Ask for Susan in Jo Malone! She is very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. I was looking for a special gift for my mother-in-law and she made my experience as wonderful as she could. I informed her that my mother-in-law loves spa baths and candles. Susan asked me questions in regards to my mother-in-law's favorite fragrance in order to find the perfect Jo Malone scent. She recommended a scented candle and bath set which would give my mother-in-law the most relaxing bath experience. Before checking out, Susan perfectly wrapped my mother-in-law's Jo Malone gift and let me tell you..... The presentation was sooo beautiful!!! Remember back in the day when Nordstrom was kind of the high end department store and when Nordstrom generally meant great customer service? It doesn't mean that anymore-at least in this location. 1. You can never ever find anyone to help you at this location (before or after this pandemic...and it is pretty bad now). 2. When you do find someone they are usually in group socializing with one another...the day I came I witnessed 2 employees in the cosmetic area were talking to each other about when they were getting off and how tired they were and that sales were super slow that day...The one of them finally heard me when I said excuse me for the 3rd time-and said "Yeah, there is someone behind you, you may want to help her". Geez Thanks. Then she pushed me off to another person. 3. When I made my purchase, granted it was a small sized purchase...she went to get me a bag then stopped...then she noticed maybe I had a purse and handed it to me sans a bag? Really? It is going to kill you to get me a bag? For working in the cosmetics area her appearance was very disheveled and sloppy. 4. The stock is slim which in the current state of retail I understand (They are probably not receiving normal shipments). The customer service is getting so horribly bad at Nordstrom pre and post the peak of the pandemic-The folks who work here could work at a Target/Walmart or any other retailer-maybe a gas station (heck even the people at a gas station are nicer)? I had a ball at Nordstrom this weekend. I started off at the wedding department. Initially I thought they would not have a lot of dresses in my budget/ that I could try on based on my dress size. The process to book an appointment on line was easy and painless... and so was the rest of my experience. I was greeted by Cindy who was so incredibly sweet and took time getting to know me and my mom. She was able to understand our vision and need for an elegant dress that would complement my fiance's military uniform. She was not pushy at all and explained the entire ordering process and how they would work with me. I love that the dress gets delivered to the store and all the alterations get done in house AND you can use you Nordstrom rewards card alteration money. The money I save will go towards my veil. GO here if you want a relaxing stress free and personal experience. Then I went downstairs and got a pair of patent leather nude round toe Louboutin pumps. Some how the sales people are friendly but are not in your face/give you your space. But dropping a few bills on the Jo Malone Gardenia & Ouo and some Givenchy shades showed those snobs to not judge a book by its cover. This is specifically in regards to the older white shoe salesman (shorter) who was working today 4/18/24 at 6:30p who treated my wife extremely poorly and rude. We are Nordstrom Ambassador level clients and have been coming to this store for years. We typically deal with Robert but unfortunately when my wife and daughter came in today he wasn't there and they unfortunately had to deal with this clown. This salesman was so unprofessional that my wife called me from the store and said she wouldn't spend another dime in the shoe dept if this guy was working. Long story short, my wife asked to try on a few different pair of shoes (ranging from $1,100 to $700) and didn't find anything she liked. The salesman was extremely pushy and rushing my wife with making a decision as he saw a "regular" of his that he couldn't wait to help. After my wife sent me a photo of some Fendi shoes that I didn't like, she told the salesman that "my husband didn't care for them" he walked off without saying a word to my wife and right over to pander to his regular. All of the staffs no matter which department it is are super disrespectful. I went to the sunglass department and talked with their managers since they didn't have any boxes for a sunglass so I asked them if they can give me an extra pouch and even though they had a lot, they told me it's impossible but I knew it wasn't. Very few Nordstrom stores that carry so many premium designers, there is even a Chanel boutique in this Nordstrom, SO nice. I didn't know they carry Christian Louboutin shoes too! Was so happy and surprised at how many styles they carry! I got my other 4 pairs at Saks and their U.S. website, I am a size 5 / 35, hard to find my sizes at stores, so I usually order online. Luckily they had one pair of size 5 in one of the fall / winter styles, so I just had to try them on. And of course they fit me perfectly! Hubby was happily getting me another pair of Louboutins, he is more obsessed with red soles sky high heels than me I think... Another thing, Nordstrom offers FREE service to fix red soles, they are very delicate, better put one more layer of red soles on them! Hubby brought my other pairs to regular shoe repair stores, they costed $35-50 each pair. OK, from now on we are getting my Louboutins at Nordstrom only! Ps. I haven't been to Nordstrom's for a long time as it seemed like their stuff was getting a little "frumpy" .... but I was looking for a particular brand of yoga clothes (Beyond Yoga - amazing!!) that they apparently carried. I walked in with an open mind and was hopeful. But in virtually every department, large sections of product were cordoned off by yellow partitions. This was meant to encourage "no access." When I asked a salesperson about them, I was told that these products were for the sale that started in 2 days for "Nordstrom's card holders only." What? I was then told that you had to be a level #4 card holder. What is that??????? Of course, you can open an instant account if you want to. But when I asked what happens without an account, I was told that you could still shop the sale (WOW - what a privilege!) but you would pay the higher price, not the marked down price. REALLY? Now, this all seems pretty crazy to me. First, you have to be a special card holder to qualify to shop their sale. And perhaps a certain special level of card holder. This reminds me of all the clubs and levels when you're trying to board a plane. Too much to remember. Too much of a hassle. Too much sorting of people and privilege. YUCK. As I walked around the non-cordoned off sections of the store, the products generally still seemed very "frumpy" to me so it all turns out not to matter. But the retail concepts being used here do not seem to make any sense and were an incredible turn off. Glad I checked in to confirm why I don't shop here anymore. We had a fabulous time at this store the other day. While I have always had good service here, this past visit was exceptional. My mom and I were shopping for a dress for her and one of the employees, Kris, helped us out. He pulled a bunch of options to show and gave honest opinions rather than saying everything looked great. He was friendly and nice and made our experience wonderful! I always alive Nordstrom and the things they have to offer! The set up of the store I great. They have a men's, women's, kids, shoes, makeup, jewelry, etc in different areas. The store itself was clean. There was a security guard at the main exit which was nice to see. The store itself was nicely setup and I could tell that they work hard to make it stay so nice. Will I be back? Most definitely! read more

My father is elderly and can be quite the difficult customer. I had bought him some clothes from Nordstrom that he needed altered. As a returning client for many years, I feel it necessary to give recognition to one of the stylists at Nordstrom Topanga, and I must say, my experience was nothing short of fantastic, all thanks to Marco. From the moment my husband and I entered the store until the time we left, Marco went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable shopping experience. My husband is an introvert who rarely shops for himself, however, Marco went out of his way to make him feel comfortable while also considering my husbands personality and sense of style and picking out suits for him that he truly loved wearing for the events that we attended. His warm greeting and genuine smile made us feel welcome immediately. In the past few years especially in the customer service industry its been extremely difficult to come across someone like Marco, who you can truly see is so passionate about his job. What stood out the most was his extensive knowledge of trying to understand my husbands personality and somehow helping him step out of his comfort zone and executing such amazing pieces together for him to wear to our events. Not only was he able to answer all of our questions, but he also provided valuable insights and recommendations tailored to my husbands style. Well, first off when we walked in... the store was messy at 1:10pm. The racks were just a mish-mash of stuff. No rhyme or reason as to how they stock things, including any make-up or beauty products. The shoe isles were the only isles that made any sense. Some of the clothing prices were still priced a bit ridiculous. I did manage to get a nice plush black jacket though... $175.00 for $30.00 - - the only one they had left. Trying to get anyone to help you...... GOOD LUCK! lol read more

Growing up in Woodland Hills, I've shopped at this Nordstrom my entire life. This weekend I had a terrible encounter, and therefore, you've lost me (and others who I was with) as customers. It seems like you don't mind losing customers anymore based on the TERRIBLE customer service and the many TERRIBLE yelp reviews. This is a very different store than the one I grew up happily shopping at. I held off writing this review until I spoke with the store manager, but she could care less and did not care about solving the issue. I purchased a handbag, as a gift for my mom, during the last week of the Anniversary Sale this summer. I just saw an ad for the same bag, on sale for less than the Anniversary Sale. The purpose of the Anniversary Sale is for upcoming new items for the season, not clearance so I never expected the price to go down a month later when the new season hadn't even begun! What's the point of shopping Anniversary when the items will be less 30 days later? I would have waited. This handbag wasn't an emergency! We walked into the purse section over the weekend, explained the situation and asked for a price adjustment. They said it was clearance and wouldn't give me the difference. I explained the sale was for new items for the Fall, not summer items going on sale. They brought the night manager over, Daniel Laughlin, who was dirty, disheveled and in a terrible mood. It was hard to believe he was the manager of Nordstrom. He told us he wouldn't give us the adjustment because the item is clearance. I then said I wanted to return the purse, and he very angrily said he wouldn't take it back. He said Nordstrom doesn't take any returns on purses. I know that is false as I returned a purse once before. He was the rudest person I've ever come across in store management. I told him I wanted to speak with customer service and he didn't care. We then went to customer service to explain the situation and they agreed with us, but said there was nothing they could do because Daniel Laughlin was higher in rank and they would have to call him first. What's the point of customer service? I then left a message to speak with the store manager, Brandy Ames, She called back, apologized for the behavior of the night manager, but said there was nothing she would do. I told her the price adjustment wasn't big, it was more about the principle, but she said she was fine with losing customers than returning the bag, giving a price adjustment or even giving the small price difference in a Nordstrom gift card, which would have been an easy fix and Nordstrom wouldn't lose anything. So if you've read this far, bad situation, wait 30 days and the item will be at the Rack anyway. Don't waste money at Nordstrom. read more

I've had a handful of disappointing experiences at this location that warrants this review. Gone are the days where you browse anywhere in this store and are acknowledged or welcomed. Instead, the majority of the associates are huddled together socializing and/or completely ignore you intentionally and then give attitude when you ask for something politely. I've spent a lot of money at this store and am ready to stop shopping here altogether because of my experiences. I don't understand where the customer service piece has gone from Nordstrom. I understand in high traffic/touristy locations that customers probably make it harder for employees to be kind but I typically only shop here during off peak hours hoping I get better service. This is not the case. Based on a lot of other negative reviews for this location, I hope management really considers revamping its customer service model here. read more

The negative: most of the women's clothing was unattractive, ugly colors, ugly prints, unflattering cuts (shapeless dresses etc.). I WAS able to find about $1,000 worth of clothing. Purchased a Thule Coaster XL Bike trailer from Nordstrom.com to have delivered to the store the next day. It wasn't ready the next day which was annoying because I had plans to take my daughter on a bike ride. They sold me a returned product at full price. The bags were already torn and a piece was missing and to top it all off the rain guard has a whole in it. I contacted them about it and said it's going to take basically 10 days for me to get a new one. I wanted to write a bad review on on their website and they don't even sell it anynmore. They basically sold me a used damaged product for over $400. I have filed a complaint with the BBB because this is unacceptable. read more

Great customer service and the restaurant Bazille on third floor has seriously yummy food and drinks when you need a break from all that shopping. I know Nordstrom's is great with their customer service and returns but my last visit exemplified how good they are. I bought good American jeans in store. They were so helpful about sizing and even care instructions. However I got a size that ended up being too big. After buying them and taking them home, I took the tag off. A few minutes later I realized I was pulling them up too much. When I took them back they were so helpful, no questions asked. They helped me find the right size and brought other options. When I decided on what I wanted (even though they didn't have my size) they ordered them and sent them to my house. Great customer service, fast shipping and great clothes. Super grateful! read more

This is probably the best Nordstrom in southern california. While it is not the largest, it has the best selection of high-end merchandise of any nordstrom I've ever seen. On the first floor, men can find trendy and upscale things like Dior Homme, Fendi, Gucci, or Balenciaga CLOTHES. Not fragrances or a few accessories, Apparel. I've never seen anything quite on par at any Nordstrom. Cosmetics is about what you'd expect, with the full spectrum of the brands they carry (erno laszlo being one that's a bit more uncommon). Women can find a Chanel boutique on the second floor with clothing outerwear and some handbags. On the first floor louboutin and dior heels are easily accesible. It's honestly more like a Neiman Marcus than any Nordy's I've seen. And it's better than the one around the corner. read more
