Let me preface by saying that Nordstrom is my favorite retail store because of their company policy that makes being a customer there so enjoyable. However, different nordstroms will offer different experiences. Nordstrom at northpark serves a different clientele than the nordstroms at the Galleria. Personally, I get way too uncomfortable when someone asks me if I want help. Obviously, if I need help i'll ask for it. And i'll wear sweats to northpark and they still hassle me, and I can wear whatever I want to the galleria and they see that I can help myself. This is entirely a preference thing. Each store in dallas serves a different personality. I honestly prefer the customer service at the galleria over northpark. However, this is where it gets interesting. Nordstroms at Northpark has been ranked #1 over all other Nordstroms, not in customer service in terms of the quantity of merchandise they have. I think Chicago is number two, and the way they rank them is by the size of the designer department. So if you're looking for Christian Louboutins, Jimmy Choos, or anything else Nordstroms at Northpark is your ideal destination. read more

Very disappointed to see my sales rep Micki after 3 years was dismissed from the Bond fragrance area!! I only wear bond and she takes care of me every time I come in and send clients to her. I will not be going back to this particular Bond sales department at all knowing she isn't there to help me. She knew what I wanted and also knew great scents as I bought gifts. I've yet to have a bad experience here, specifically in the shoe department. As a girl who loves her shoes, this is by far my favorite place to go because there is not only always help but GOOD help. The women's shoe department staff is wonderful, always helpful and makes you feel taken care of, even if you're just buying your 10th pair of chucks. They are always quick to greet you and never fail to thank you for coming in. I've been assisted by staff in several departments, and I love the consistency in quality of the customer service experience. The makeup counter employees are immensely well-trained and helpful, and employees across the store are always seem so cheerful and eager to help you. I love coming in here and playing with the makeup over at the MAC counter. The folks are always so friendly and helpful here too. I swear, I'm not a procrastinator. I had known about my little sister's wedding for months. I also knew that I needed a new suit that was fit for summer wear in a park in NYC. I don't know what stopped me from taking action sooner. Maybe I was overconfident in my ability to lose a few pounds. Maybe I was tired from my move to Texas. Maybe.... my mind is starting to slip.... For whatever reason, I decided that it would be a great idea to buy a glorious new suit three days before I was set to board a plane to New York. Tailoring? Ha! I couldn't decide between shades of blue or what subtle highlights I wanted in the fabric, much less calculate the time it takes to hem some pants and fix my jacket. When in doubt, I go to Nordstrom. As usual, they didn't disappoint. They had me in a beautiful Armani that fit the occasion perfectly. They even suggested a sport coat to wear to the reception the next day that would complement the wedding look. The best part? They had a great tailor take care of everything overnight. It cost a little more, but overall it was reasonable and done just right. The men's shop had a huge variety of suits at all price points. Most importantly for me, they had many of them in stock, so I could try them on and have them altered immediately, rather than have to wait for them to come from another store. Will I wait until the last minute the next time someone I love is getting married? Hopefully not. However, it's good to know that Nordstrom will have my back if I do. read more

Overall decent selection and a wide range of clothing/merchandise . Customer service however, is extremely poor at best. It's pretty obvious that they work on commissions. Sales associates are more interested in selling you the most priciest merchandise regardless of look or fit. This practice, along with trying to "hurry you up" became very apparent to me after a short while. I have no plans to shop at Nordstrom again because of this experience. I will be shopping instead, at the smaller specialized stores, ie RODD & GUNN, AG etc ... Much better with one on one customer service and honest opinions on how the merchandise fits and looks, regardless of price. read more

Nordstom let me down. I hope it was atypical since their service has always been supreme. Not anymore. Excuses were the norm in this case. I purchased an special occasion dress for my granddaughter and in spite of many attempts to get it to the correct address (sales person, email customer service, phone customer service, and more), there was no one person who cared enough to get the dress to the correct address. Each email, call to the store, call to the customer service assured me it would be taken care of. I believed them and did not worry. I wasted my time shopping, online, and on the phone. No one lifted a finger, my granddaughter did not get the dress for the special occasion and they no longer have the dress available. If only they had told me they could not do it, I could have fixed the situation. I hope this never happens to you. It will not happen to me again at that store. This was my first Nordstrom's experience...and it was AMAZING. I had no idea a department store could be so much more than clothes and shoes. They were in the middle of thier semi-annual sale...which I would describe as you need to hunt for some deals but it's an organized hunt. Their shoe department was fantastic! Every time I turned around there were more. They had a ton of people working although I admit that the service was a bit slow in the shoe department. The shoes I found were so fantastic that I didn't care to wait. This is more than a department store with a spa and restaurant?! Unreal. I've been buying shoes, and expensive ones at that, for decades here. The service at my recent few visits has been absolutely comical. I stood there for about 15 min... even making eye contact with several employees... no one so much offered to help me. Customer service is terrible at Nordstrom - all Dallas locations. I have shopped without my Nordstrom Visa four times in the past year and each time, using necessary forms of id, the clerks cannot access my account or get help from customer service. I called customer service, and after holding for 15 minutes, and after giving them the necessary id information, they assured me there was no reason my account could not be accessed. I shopped at the Galleria yesterday and the clerk was again not able to access my account. We both called customer service for help but neither of us could get them to even answer the phone. No more shopping at Nordstrom for me - customer service is the worst - too many wonderful places to shop in Dallas. read more

I am a fan of Nordstrom's. I usually shop at the stores in San Francisco, Las Vegas and Austin, but this store is better than all three put together. At least in terms of size, selection and amenities. I didn't plan a visit to the mall today, the day before the 4th of July, but it happened. When we got to the hotel Zaza after driving up from Austin, the room wasn't ready. Northpark was close and had AC, so off we went to kill a couple of hours. Parking at Nordstrom's was a no-brainer. For starters, they offered valet. Why valet at the mall? I guess I thought it would be safer with our bags in the car but that is debatable. However, the fact that valet offered a car washing service made it worth it no matter what! My car was filthy, and had not been washed in 6 months. Not anymore, now it is spotless. In the store, we glanced at the men's department, which was very nice. However, I didn't really need anything so we headed up to the kids department to find some stuff. Jackpot! This is a fantastic store for kids clothing. We got quite a few things. The shoe department was also pretty amazing, and my girlfriend was impressed with the variety of designer shoes they offered from Jimmy Choo to Christian Louboutin. Thank god we escaped unscathed. Most of all, I like the Nordstrom's customer service and policies. That, combined with this beautiful store, made this review 5 stars. read more

Ah Nordstroms at Northpark Mall in Dallas oh how i miss thee. I have to say that I love Nordstroms. Their customer service never seems to fail (except a few times at the Kansas location). I will always be loyal to those stores that go the extra mile for me and Nords at Northpark is no exception. My sister and I went on a shoe shopping spree there last year and the sales clerk carried our bags out to the car. I LOVE that!!! And it's not like we spent $1000's of dollars or anything, but that made me feel like a queen. What can I say....it doesn't take much to make me happy i guess. read more

Although I love Nordstrom's.. The customer service is lacking for such a high end major department store. Today, several of the Sales Associates were clumsy, not helpful or not as attentive as I expected, even though it was a non busy Monday afternoon! The kicker was the credit card machine was not working in the "Nail Bar" area. After many attempts of swiping, for credit, it insisted on me putting in a PIN #. This may not be a big deal for some, but for me, in this day/age of credit/debit card theft, I seldom punch in a PIN# anymore. Luckily I had enough cash to cover my purchase. read more

After buying a dress (which I love) in-store, I realized once home that I forgot to use my gift card for the purchase. By phone they were able to refund my credit card and apply my gift card balance. I'm usually not one to write reviews but I've truly never experienced anything like Nordstrom's shipping & customer service. First, Nordstrom shipped my package to the wrong address (I confirmed that I wrote the correct address so where they found the address it was shipping to is unknown to me) then I was told that I needed to contact customer service in a few days in order to process a return since my package was considered lost. A few days go by & I contact customer service, to which they state I need to wait another week before I get refunded (def not what I was told previously). Finally I am refunded & a week later the lost package arrives. I was told if the package ended up arriving that I would be charged in 30 days if I hadn't returned it (never experienced a customer service rule like that). I took the package to my nearest Nordstrom & was told they would take care of it, that I didn't need any receipt information since the refund was already processed. Few days later I receive an email & Nordstrom RE CHARGED ME for the package I literally had taken to their store 2 days before!!! I spent an hour on the phone with their customer service & was told they can't do anything about it. Truly have not experienced anything like this & I will NEVER shop at Nordstrom again. read more

This review is for an absolutely wonderful Charlotte Tilbury make-up artist at the Nordstrom at NorthPark mall. I don't own make-up, let alone know how to use it so this part of the getting married train was very stressful until I found this young lady who not only went through two trials with me, but came to my home on the day of my wedding (a Sunday) for a relatively low rate, showed up on time, spent an hour making some adjustments to what we'd agreed on, and making me look fabulous and having a great conversation to boot. I will gladly recommend her for the rest of my days. If you're on a budget and don't know where to turn, please try these wonderful women...just make sure you pick a trial date/time and book it with them in advance because walk-ins can be hit or miss. read more

Definitely my favorite department store! I've never had any issues with my purchases until recently with a pair of sunglasses. I bought them back in May and while I went to New York I dropped them on the street and one of the parts went missing. I brought them in hoping they could try to fix the issue or at least refer me to someone who could. They allowed me to exchange my sunglasses! Even though they didn't have the exact model and color I wanted in store they were able to order them online for me and get them shipped to my home address. I don't think any other department store has such a flexible return policy like Nordstrom! I also love their new pick up in store feature too. I'm an avid online shopper and it's great to get items sooner in store than by mail. read more

HORRIBLE customer service. I have never been so disappointed with a Nordstrom store as I was with this one. I placed an order in store to be shipped directly to me, as they did not have my size available in store. They used a carrier service that has multiple BBB complaints and an active ongoing investigation for missing/stolen packages and false tracking updates. I walked in and called in multiple times to ask for assistance, each time I was treated more disrespect. They practically told me that it was my fault that the carrier left the package out in the open to be stolen, which it was stolen, and that I had to basically find out who stole it before anything could be done. One girl, I believe the manager of "customer experience" for this specific store was so rude and continuously talked over me while I voiced my frustration with the customer service. I came here after being disappointed with the Galleria Nordstrom lack of sizes and availability. Delight in the women's collectors section was very very patient and helpful to me . She was way more patient than I would have been. There was a very good selection and multiple sizes . Delight helped me with going to another department to get a belt for me and then when my size wasn't available immediately she ordered it to be shipped directly to me . When trying on clothes I got a little bit of make on one of the tops I was purchasing and she took it to alterations to get the makeup removed for me . I will be a repeat customer. I've bought many a work shoes here and the sales people are fantastic. Yes... It's expensive and yes... I could have purchased my work shoes from a less expensive retailer but the sales person knows my name and is very very helpful. It is also very important to mention they are no where near as pushy as the other department store sales people. Love the store. Just when I was starting to get homesick, I came to this mall to get a birthday present for a friend and what a surprise; a Nordy's with the same layout as my home Nordstrom! I walked in and a HUGE smile just spread, it almost felt like coming home! I walked through the shoe sales rack and sadly told myself I wasn't here to shop for myself and continued to pass some awesome Prada and Chanel shoes and finally gorgeous Louboutins and hit the mall. On my way back to the car, I browsed through and sadly couldn't find a Guerlain cosmetic booth, sigh... Maybe at Neimans or something... Also, the mens wallets weren't impressive at all, they were boring leather Ted Bakers, I guess that's why there are so many other ritzy stores in the mall though. I had a terrible time trying to get someone to help me locate a jumpsuit that I pulled up on the app. The employees were standing around talking and completely ignored my boyfriend and I. I asked multiple employees for help and they didn't even attempt to look for the jumpsuit. Until we found Whitney in dresses. As soon as she saw me approaching, she greeted me with a smile. She was the only employee to print the info required to locate the exact department for the jumpsuit. She searched and searched until she found it. It didn't have a tag so she quickly made and attached one so that I wouldn't have any issues with returning if I ran into an issue. Whitney went above and beyond and gave me excellent customer service. She is the example the other employees should follow! read more

This review is for Customer Service (1-800)not in store. Ipurchased a pair of Bjorn black wedges in a size 6; size sold out in store. Sales lady told me they would ship to me at no charge. After 10 days I checked the tracking info which said they had delivered to my front door. I never received the package so I called Customer Service to explain; after 10 minutes of being on hold she told me shoes were returned and I would be credited back in 10-14 days.
