As we walked into Starbucks Jen gave us the biggest smile and said Welcome with Sunshine reading from her face. She took our order with proficiency and with joyfulness in her voice. Ava made our drinks and wow! She made them perfectly! It's hit or miss with a frapp but she was spot on! My daughter and I really enjoyed ourselves!, our drinks, & our food at this Starbucks! I don't often come to this Starbucks as there are other Starbucks closer to my place, but my last two visits here were pleasant. I last came here last week, the Saturday before Christmas, as I was in the area and wanted to grab some coffee. Even though the place was packed, I thankfully got my drink in under 5 minutes after I placed my order. Customer service is fabulous here. The location is kept well maintained and clean, and it offers outdoor seating. There is always plenty of parking. I have not tried any of the food here yet. All in all, I highly recommend coming to this Starbucks for great drinks and customer service. read more

This Starbucks is a treasure! The coffee and service are good, but the people are great! The baristas Sharyn, Michael, Jen, Meg, Angel, Christine, and Ava have created a safe place where teens, neighbors, and those with disabilities can safely gather. They are invested in their customer's lives. It's not a hang out, no nonsense is tolerated. But the staff has created a neighborhood within their store. The atmosphere feels like Cheers with coffee. Jen/jenifer is very sweet here she gave me a free refill even though I guess Starbucks brass corporate management doesn't allow it on americanos only drip coffee or something. They were repairing the drip machine so she gave me a free upgrade and gave the Americano at no charge and she was so sweet I had to give a shout out to her in my favorite County of the world Ventura County my friends. My strawberry açaí lemonade was not what I thought it would be. I have come to this Starbucks multiple times, asked them to remake my drink multiple times and it still tastes really bad. I don't know what they are doing but it does not taste good. Overall don't recommend what so ever read more

Sharyn, Mia, Ava, Jen, Meg, Angel, Michael, and Christine are angels in disguise. Not only are they awesome baristas, serving really tasty drinks, but they are warm, welcoming, and bring a level of kindness you wouldn't expect at a retail establishment. They have become a community for my stepson, who has autism and other mental health issues. Meg and Jen are my heroes because they have cared for my stepson when he's had no one available to help. His dad and I live across the country, so it's a challenge to be as available as we'd like. Starbucks has become his happy place because this crew of people go above and beyond -- providing more than just coffee drinks. I was truly surprised at the level of simple kindness they show, not only to my stepson but to every customer who comes in the door. I was never much of a supporter of Starbucks because I'm not a coffee drinker, but that has changed. It's the best place to visit. read more

You've seen one bucks', you've seen em' all. Well this Starbucks certainly fits that profile. Just your average Starbucks with no bells and whistles, which honestly is not necessarily a bad thing. Even though this is one of many Starbucks within the city limits of 1000 Oaks, this particular location is really here to do one thing and one thing only... Serve that coffee and/or pastry and Go! Sure, before covid you would see those occasional students sit inside or outdoors in their patio section cramming for that exam, but nowadays it just seems like people want to get their cup of joe and boogie. This location seems to mainly serve the locals of the community and maybe those who are passing through town gassing up next door. Staff here have always been pleasant towards me and just seem to be doin their thing to get orders out as quickly and efficiently as possible. Very disappointed in this Starbucks! Per the hours of operation they close at 9pm. My husband arrived at 8:58pm and there were people in there. He got kicked out and the lady asked him to go through the drive thru that they were closed. It's not the first time that they do similar things. One day I arrived early in the morning and I was ignored at the door but per their hours of operation they had to be opened already 15 mins prior. I knocked a few times and was totally ignored. Two charming people were working there as I dropped in with my little girl while we were in Thousand Oaks on a mission to get specialized batteries for our home gate opener. It was Veterans Day and I asked if they had any specials. They offered a free tall coffee. My daughter asked for a cake pop and hot chocolate, which I was happy to pay for, but they gave it all to us for free! Of course we tipped. What I really liked was the bathroom. The toilet flushes with just a manual handle, with no creepy sensor and automatic flush. The sink had manual water you can just turn on and off, with a manual pump for soap. Again, no weird sensors that make things difficult. And the best part, paper towels! I can't stand blow dryers, which are loud, annoying, don't dry your hands, and seem to use a lot of energy. And with paper towels available, you can wash your face if you've had a long day and would like to sit down freshened up before enjoying your hot drinks and sweet treats. Slowest.Starbucks.Ever. This company makes enough money to hire adequate staff, they need two baristas even on a slow day.

I have come here a few different times now. Each time I've ordered the same black tea with lemonade. Each time I have ordered it the same. Each time the end result was very different from the next or previous, but never bad at all. I don't know why their recipes vary so much but they're also never so rude that they won't offer to re-make my drink, had I ever been so disappointed with the outcome of my order. The lines are usually fast moving and I think I've only waited in line here once. The baristas are all so sweet & friendly. I know my lil one likes to come with me to get her cake pops. She usually gets one every other month or so, sometimes once a month. Sometimes we share a muffin when I'm super hungry. The baristas are all sweet to my lil one as well. She loves to say hi to them because they are so full of energy and animated. read more

Slowest Starbucks ever. Over multiple visits, I've had to wait 15-20 minutes for a coffee. It's so slow that I've actually skipped this location and and gone to the Starbucks in the Vons in the same shopping center. It's not that the staff doesn't hustle; they do. But whether it's busy (I've seen lines out the door and days they have run out of nearly everything in the baked goods!) or quiet, drinks take ages. read more

First visit to this location. Somehow fitting that my 400th review is for a Starbucks. The other night, I was running errands for an event that I was doing the decorations for, and needed a break. After gassing up at USA, popped in to the java joint. So pleasant to be greeted as I stepped through the door. The employees were cleaning, yet still attentive to guests. The batista made my drink perfectly, too. While not a huge location, there is some elbow room here. I sat for a few minutes and caught up on check-ins, while enjoying the tunes they were playing. Nice respite in my busy evening. Took my beverage out in to the night to sip while touring local homes and their festive holiday lights on the way home. Thank you for the great experience. read more

One of our favorite stops before work! We love the staff here, they are always so well prepared and so sweet. We are absolutely obsessed with their egg bite collection, the bacon and gruyere are our favorite. I always get a tea with lemonaide, and I'm so excited for summer and all the time. Sunday, June 2nd Today was especially amazing! All of the Starbucks team was busting their butts!! They didn't have any pike coffee and took the time to do a pour over for us! They worked hard to get through their entire line both efficiently and effectively. Coffee was fresh! My passion/green tea lemonade (thank you Ladies!) was fresh and honestly PERFECT! Walked in to a super clean store beautifully decorated with balloons advertising a Barista Championship 2021! How fun! The store manager was kind, friendly, and seemed genuinely happy to be at work! How refreshing! I felt confident ordering my "complicated" drink because she assured me that her baristas will remake the drink if it wasn't to my liking. Wow! I'm so used to getting a sigh or an attitude when I've had to get my drink re-made. I wish I would of snapped a shot of my drink before I killed it! It was soo good! read more

Big Beef with this Starbucks. How do you "run out" of coffee at 6:42AM. This is more than an infrequent problem with Starbucks. My usual order is a grande or venti Pike and this morning at 6:42 I was kindly informed we are "out of Pike". Really? There was no line, 2 customers in the store and three Starbuck's team members and no one noticed the coffee supply was getting low? Seems like this would be a rudimentary aspect of the job. Keep fresh coffee available! Regardless of the location this continues to happen. I just don't get it! Starbucks please fix this problem. I don't want to nor should I have to wait while you brew a batch of coffee. Keep it brewing baby! I go to this Starbs everyday, sometimes twice. Love the location, the workers are great, but they just can't get their shit together. Everyday this week 4 out 4 times they have been out of Pike, offering bold or blonde or a 5 minute wait. Ridiculous is too mild. How hard is it to see the pike running low and reload. Finally today I asked if there was a reason why they don't reload prior to running out. The answer was, "we try". It's a crock of crap. If they tried, they'd be successful every now and then. The evidence does not support the least bit of trying. I'm a stockholder and taking this beef to corporate. read more

Ok allow me to explain and cut to the chase. I visit a Starbucks on a regular basis for my Soy Latte with 1 shot of Mocha and 1 shot of Toffee Nut... There you have it my drink of choice. That all changed today because of a young barista named Taryn who was a difference maker and truly the type of team member wise beyond her years and gets it as in the big picture and the value of customer service... My aforementioned drink of choice was made wrong earlier in the day but I was tied up at Baseball and there's nothing worse then leaving with your drink that is not accurate and your pressed for time and can't go back and get it fixed immediately. I returned to Starbucks about 2.5 hours later after the game and met a Starbucks gift from the gods. Hello Taryn, your a rock star and Starbucks hall of famer... I went in with my drink and was standing in line waiting to be served when this sweet barista voice rang out Hi and welcome to Starbucks what can I get started for you while your waiting? I started to explain that I needed a mulligan and she waved me over. Mind you she's juggling like (6) different orders and she said OMG no I am so sorry for that inconvenience what was it supposed to be? I will remake it for you right now correctly with love and care. Literally 1.5 minutes later my majestic Soy Latte masterpiece from Taryn was handed to me with a giant smile along with a gift card so my next Soy Latte is free along with "I hope that it's the best Soy Latte that you have ever had" Knowing that I made it especially for you because I care and I'm sorry you had a problem... Speechless just speechless and for those who know me I am almost never at a loss for words lol Taryn, you are all that and a bag of chips. This Starbucks has a nice indoor seating area that seems larger than most. They also have an outside patio where people gather to enjoy their 'bucko-s. The store is clean, people are friendly and coffee is good! I stop here when I'm on this side of town. This particular location doesn't have the most convenient parking lot, as it is on a corner of a busy intersection. You can only turn in one direction coming out of the lot unless you go all the way through the lot, around to the stoplight. read more

The most of the staff that's been there for awhile, remember my name even when it's been awhile since I've come in. Chandler was awesome with our soccer teams order. They saw us come in and Chandler made sure everyone on the floor was ready for us. He was kind when I explained that we were missing drinks. He didnt argue with me or dismiss me. He believe me and made my missing drinks right away. Pam was also so sweet when I asked for my plain bagel. She showed me excellent customer service and didnt argue with me when I said I didnt received my bagel yet. This store makes you feel like you are visiting a local mom and pop coffee shop. I love their personal touch!! I tried to pick up some coffee for daycare teachers with my two year old kid in tow. They went above and beyond their standard service to make my day when I had a situation with my kid. I really really appreciate their customer service and will be back!!! This is one of the Starbucks that I frequent due to its convenient location. It is much like all of the other Starbucks around here. It does get crowded due to the schools in the area, but anytime that I have been here, the line has moved fast and the drinks come out quick. The one issue is the area to wait for drinks gets a little crowded sometimes. There is plenty of seating inside and a nice patio outside. Parking is plentiful. The employees are friendly. It is also convenient to the 23 freeway. read more

Upset leaving this place.. I asked for a mocha frap with no whipped cream. When they called my name it had whip cream on the top. I pointed it out, the guy behind the counter grabbed the drink and just scooped the whipped cream off the top then replaced it with a flat lid... What kind of customer service is that??
