Me message to the managers of this location : It will be a Christmas miracle if your store actually prepares a drink correctly for once. EVERY single time without fail, my hot drinks are always delivered cold and the espresso is always burnt. What once was a cozy, Starbucks full of character, is now a sterile, uninviting environment! The furniture inside belongs inside a dollhouse! It's so uncomfortable & makes no sense at all; they might as well have no seating inside at all. The entrance location is amongst the outside seating space, so you have to walk through all of that too, making that area less nice with the traffic of people going in and out. They also used to have a cool wall of mugs from Starbucks from all over the country & world lining their walls (I was one of the donators for that) and they're all in storage, with no plans of being put out. Sometimes 2 on a given block, and certainly averages one every mile or so.  I usually like Starbucks because I know what to expect: clean, efficient, good WiFi, and all the usual "Starbucky things".  Thoughts of the coffee vary from "I love it" to "I hate it, they burn the beans".  I've grown fond of that "dark roast" flavor. Sorry to add to the pile up. But it 100% deserves a one-star and i do blame Corporate. The staff here are friendly and always greet me by name! But, they can't fix problems that corporate creates. Go look across the parking lot at the independent coffee shops - it's big, filled with tables, always busy! The drinks they make TASTE good. I was paying $5 every single day for a Starbucks coffee and it never tasted good. I finally gave up. Now I pay a little more across the parking lots and I get an excellent well crafted coffee. Corporate has automated the coffee making process to a degree, and hot coffee is almost always burnt. Iced coffee is not made the same as it used to be. Espresso drinks don't even taste good. Also not surprised about the bad reviews ive been going to this Starbucks since forever probably since middle school and today made me realize why I haven't been back in awhile and prefer to go to other locations since the people who would work there before were so awesome. Never had an issue till today, the curly haired new one (skinny) ugly attitude took my order but was too busy flirting with a customer to remember I ordered a croissant me and my family were in a hurry to visit my sister in the hospital and we probably waited for that croissant for atleast 10-15 minutes when everyone after me had already gotten their orders. The ignores me when I ask her for it and once I repeat myself goes "I heard you don't you see it" walks over to check and not there, slums back to make me it while laughing with her weird coworker. Well apparently these employees here do not know how to read or fulfill an order. They forgot an entire sandwich. This place is discriminating and Rude. Walked in at 7:05am to order my coffee and pumpkin loaf. Everything was going smooth paid with my app. When I got my order the guy says "you need to change your name" I said why "He said it's offensive" I told him no other store has a problem with it so I'm not going to change it. He said " then we won't serve you" I said I won't come anymore he said "That's fine. So I asked for a refund and one of the baristas said "we need to get him out of here quick". I felt very humiliated and embarrassed by the three of them saying that in front of everyone. They singled me out for being gay. I thought all Starbucks were LGBTQ friendly and were all nice but unfortunately, this Starbucks is very rude and discriminating. If the app allows me to change my name, then it shouldn't be a problem. The word Bitch is in the dictionary so there is no way that word is offensive. He could've just refused to say my name like some other stores do or yell it out like some do. Please think twice before you go to this Starbucks and get humiliated. My name on the app shouldn't be a problem. These three barristas are they reason why there is hate and discrimination in this world. We've been through a lot and we shouldn't have to worry about being disgraced and humiliated when ordering a cup of coffee. Used to come to this location fairly frequently. Not as convenient now, but was in the neighborhood today. It's not a large indoor space, but they have a good sized patio to one side. It's screened by mature plantings to provide separation from the parking lot. The young man at the counter was friendly and prompt. Good start. The barista seemed to either be having a moment, or was ready for a break. I ordered their new chili mocha frappucino and a pumpkin spice frap for Dear Hubby. Neither came with the sprinkle of spices on the top. Bit of a shortcut, and ultimately a fail. Not only does the added flavor set off the other ingredients, but visually it is part of the package. I mentioned it about the chili mocha. He said, "Oh, yeah." And sprinkled with a flick of the wrist. He could have / should have said something to cover the moment. This Starbucks is my neighborhood fave, if I am in a working mood I can grab a seat inside otherwise I love sitting outside by the fountain. The outside patio is enveloped in bushes so you feel like you are in a garden instead of facing a parking lot. The staff are always friendly and are super chill. Main downside is that it's not that big so good luck finding a table during peak hours. Also they get swamped during the weekend AMs with online orders which leads to mistakes. It's sorta a frenzy at the bar. It would be nice if they have a separate counter for online orders. read more

This locations customer service is spotty. I live a short distance away and always order before I leave home. Most days my drink is waiting for me. Weekends... not so much. Pretty average Starbucks, I think they definitely benefit from the fact that they're the only Bux in the area to get away with being slower and making more drink mistakes. There's a small section of patio seating outside as well as a bit of seating inside - this is by no means a huge Starbucks. No drive-thru. The baristas are pretty ok, although I definitely get the impression that a few of them should have a coffee too. Service is sluggish and rather inefficient, and a lot of the baristas seem to be kind of ambling about. Lots of mistakes on the drinks. read more

Despite my last experience at a Ventura location, this one was fantastic. This Thousand Oaks location is quite conveniently located very near the freeway, a bank and a grocery store (and on a street corner to boot!) Walking inside, it feels like I think a local Starbucks should feel: homey, warm and friendly. It is laid out so you can see the entire store from the front door, with not a lot of clutter like cd racks, shelf upon shelf of coffee mugs and thermoses, bags of coffee grounds, etc. The staff here are very friendly, without being uncomfortably so. They try to learn 'your' drink if you are a regular here (one of which I have apparently become). 'My' drink has become Pike's Place roast drip coffee. As stated in an earlier review, I generally regard Starbucks' coffee to be over-roasted/burnt, far too hot, and what we'll call "digestively unpalatable". My most recent cup, however, was very good. It was not too hot and not overly bold, just like Pike's Place Roast is purported to be. As a regular, I have obviously given this venue much of my patronage and, given the spectacular staff, the very nice patio area and this last amazing cup of coffee, will continue to do so! read more

The place is quite small, and there aren't a lot of seating available inside. There is outside seating for those nice days, so that's pretty convenient. I would have sat outside when I visited, but it was way too warm (for me). The person who took my order was nice and chipper, if not a bit brusque. It was a little busy at close to 5 pm so I understand she needs to keep things moving. That's fine. The person who made my coffee was really nice. I think she messed up on the sequence of ingredients to put in my coffee, so when she handed it to me she asked me to let her know if it's no good. Come to think of it... I think the better thing to have done was to just remake the drink she messed up on. Ugh. Oh, well. Whatevs. It didn't taste bad. The mocha was a little chalky, though. There are 2 Starbucks near my location, however, I travel out of my way to this location because due to these reasons.
