5 stars for ISAIAH who was a great help when I called on the phone for return info. He was so friendly, professional and accommodating! He really made my experience personal. I wish all customer service staff were like him. The store is big and their checkout lines usually takes a while despite having all registers open. They don't have a separate area for returns. Kids shoe area is pretty messy every time I visit also. Wish they had free ship to store and the same return policy as Nordstrom. Have never bought one thing from them. High prices with cheap third world clothes and overpriced purse. Most of the saddles look the same made of rubber with no support sole. That may be fine for young people but thats not who is shopping in the store. Middle age women want support quality shoes. No place to try on shoes. I purchased two of the same sweaters last year, one online and one in store, just different colors. Since it was no longer cold out, I wore them again this year, and the pilling was so horrible on both sweaters! I started reading the reviews and every single one of them had the same issue! Due to their refund policy you are given 30 days for in-store purchases and 45 for online. Since that time frame has obviously past, they aren't willing to issue a partial refund or credit. It's very upsetting that I'm out $60 for only get two wears out of each sweater! Money just wasted! I purchase quite a few items from Nordstrom Rack, I will be re-thinking that now! read more

This Nordstrom Rack is located in the same plaza as Michaels, specifically right next door to Tilly's. I have been to this Nordstrom Rack only a few times and each time, I was unable to find any special high end items. Was rather bummed out that there were not too many great brands to choose from in the handbag section and same with the ladies shoes. But as a Nordstrom Rack shopper, it is a hit and miss with special gem finds. But I am not quite convinced that this particular location carries the brands that I am looking for. But employees here are always friendly every time I shop here and would come back if I was in the area to browse and hope to find something worth purchasing. Please note that there is the main register section for you to pay for your items, but you can also pay at one of the express stations if you rather not wait in the long line. But I do want to mention that you can only pay via credit and debit card (there is no cash draw so employees ringing up customers here are not able to take cash). read more

You might be able to spot some good deals here but the other customers you have to deal with here are very barbaric. They will push by you to snag the items in the clearance section like you aren't even standing there and they don't say a thing or make eye contact. One time another other guy saw me approaching the sizes he was looking for and he quickly blocked the aisle to start rummaging through the button downs first before I could take a look. As for cleanliness, I have been here multiple times and their staff does an excellent job tidying up the place. It's understandable that it can be difficult to tidy up when so many customers are just making the place a mess and not putting things back where they belong. Each time I have been here, the staff is Amazon and professional--typical of what I would expect as a customer. They carefully bag the clothes and make sure nothing gets damaged while scanning and packing. There's plenty of parking as it's shared with other stores there. Absolutely the worst! When I went to purchase shoes. I didn't have my Nordstrom card. Within seconds they looked me up and purchased my item. When I went to return the shoes, I had to have my card and couldn't look up my information?!?! Doesn't make sense. I was told to get anew card and come back. Waited two weeks. This location is probably my least favorite because of their staff. It's either they are rude at the fitting rooms or something else. Today, I felt extremely annoyed with my return. My boyfriend received a gift and I just wanted store credit. However, the only way I was allowed to get credit was with the phone number of the purchaser. I don't know my boyfriend's friend's phone number and I explained how I returned a gift in the past and never needed to provide the purchaser's number. The employee kept turning me down, not looking for solutions and told me to receive a refund, I would need to ask for it. She sent me away. I drive to Nordstrom in Brea and the return was done in less than a minute. Used my telephone number and I was all set. I don't even work at Nordstrom and I know their policies. read more

Rude associates. I waited a good 10 minutes in line and didn't have my debit card which annoyed her. After the associate got permission to hold my clothes for an hour, I came back and the line was 15 long. Have been a loyal Nordstrom customer for many years and generally do not have any major problem at their stores. This all changed today with the rudest employee I've encountered in any place I've been. The male changing room attendant was the meanest and rudest person I've run into at any store. He blocked the way into the changing room and did not seem to want to move. This guy would not even be able to get a job at Walmart. I don't think he's fit to have any interaction with any other human being. Perhaps it's time for me to shop somewhere else where a semblance of service can be found. read more

Went in on a Friday evening to pick up my ordered items. I also had couple items to return as well. I stood in the order pick up line and associate Megan came to scan my order pick up confirmation. After scanning she tells me that she'll grab my items and tells me as she's walking away to the back, "Ill grab your items, you can go stand in the back of the line". I was confused because I have never had to get into another line when I had an order pickup and return at the same time. They were always happy to do both transactions at the same time. So while I'm waiting another guy with a beard comes and asks if I've been helped. I told him yes but that Megan told me I have to the back of the regular checkout line and he tells me no she should be able to do my return. Megan comes back and hands me my boxes, doesn't even ask whether I need a bag to carry out my purchases out and tells me again, you need to go back to the line. I ask her if she can just return since I was already in line and she proceeds to tell me, "you weren't in a line, they were in a line" and tells me she isn't able to do my return. I tell her that I have never had any problems in the past. She tells me there is a sign that says so and I ask her to show me the sign. The only sign was the one that said order pick up. She says "well there was a sign there." Again I tell her everyone other time I was able to return at the same time, so then she grabs my items angrily with a major attitude and tells me to go to the other register. As she goes through the motions of doing the return, she asks me for the receipt. I go on my phone to get the email receipt and she looks extremely irritated. I tell her "I'm so sorry it's difficult for you to do this return". I tell her that her attitude is really making this experience bad. She then throws my items down and asks the girl next to her to complete the transaction. I ask for her supervisor and I was able to talk to her manager Joanne who confirmed that there is no such rule or sign that says I can't return items when I do an order pickup. As the manager is now ringing me up, she has the nerve to confront the gentleman that told me that I can do both transactions and get upset at him while she is ringing up other customers. I have an older son that is probably her age and it's pretty ridiculous to be treated in this manner by immature associates like Megan. She needs major retraining on how to speak to people in a respectful friendly manner. Perhaps she is better suited to work in the back where she doesn't have to deal with people. read more

Bad bad services and very slow return line! I got questioned and checked on the Frye shoes that I was returning (12/22/2021)and the lady there claimed that I wore it since it did not have tag with it. The fact is the item came without any tag or label but with many scratches so I even doubt if that was a returned item beforehand. Even I got it returned, I am truly frustrated with Nordstrom and Rack. I am going to close my Nordstrom account and will not come back. read more

Why pay more when you can shop at Nordstrom Rack!! Here is the thing. I hate paying full price when it comes to retail shoes, clothing or accessories. That's just not smart. PERIOD. Stuff always goes on sale after being on the rack for at 2 month. I can wait. I have tons and tons of everything in my closet anyways. And being a girl, I need more than one pairs of shoes and sunglasses and jeans. Guys are simple. Shirt, pants...oh yeah, maybe underwear. They are happy. Ok whatevers. We girls can't be that simple. Which is why Nordstrom rack is perfect! I've been to other locations and they were so disorganized and small and hard to move around because all the racks were placed so closely placed next to each other. Oh and the shoe area was a mess!! Not to mention the selection was Bleh~! I love the Brea Store. Always organized and clean and easy to navigate around the store w/o clothes all over the floor or aisles being too tight. The layout is very wide open and functional. They carry a good selection of name brands for everyday wear. Ok, so no Ferragamo's and Gucci's and LV's. Well, EVERYDAY people can't afford to drop $1000 on pants and suit or dress. For that stuff, I go to South Coast location. For all everyday wear, I just love it at the one in Brea. Of course, you have to get lucky and go on the right day when all new merchandise are brought in and olds are taken out. Just be part of their mailing list and they will send you an email when new stuff is coming in. That simple. read more

I hate going to malls~! i hate all that crap... except when it comes to nordstrom rack. any of them... hell i might make a summer event (non-yelp wise) to drive around to all the nordstrom racks... although it will destroy my 2015 tax profits... to hell with it, we professionals need the attire. Brea is my preferred location because it is close. Convenience is important... Notable attire for men (suits): 1. Hugo Boss 2. CK 3. Tommy Hilfiger 4. Others... i do not know name.... As for brands, I am not into them, but due to my skin sensitivity, Hugo Boss and Tommy clothing (professional or casual) are my preferred brands. The material does not irritate my skin even though all these clothes are made in China, India or Pakistan. and of course, the value is of the wazoo. For those who are aware of how much a two piece suit cost with the mentioned brand, it can be almost 75% less here and sometimes even 90% less as i found some great deals on them. The clothing is not perfect, but my mother spent the majority of her early life as an immigrant working for a sweatshop in DT LA as a seamstress who knows how to sow and knit. Although i just take it to a tailor, my mother can't help but steal my shit to hem stuff up or open up pockets... Another notable item here are the Ties. Men can not ever have enough ties. We have our favorite ones no matter how ugly, offbeat or funky they are. The rack has such an abundance and array of colors or one tone ties, it is amazing. I spend too much time in the tie section even though it is puny... Shoes are also plentiful here. From cross training to dress shoes to slippers, but it is a pain in the ass to look for shoes so i just go elsewhere that has better organization. Although i picked up a decent pair, the durability is questionable. Men's section take up 1/4 of the store so fellas... don't bring your chick unless you like to hold things for her, wait, and all that crap. Thanks to modern technology, we can simply send a text photo for much needed fashion advice. If you do not have a chick to help with fashion, this is a perfect opportunity to strike up a convo with a cute chick or worker bee you were eyeing. I highly doubt the second, but one of them might float your boat. Tax Tip: Depending on your profession, save all your food receipts, you can deduct 50% of meals. Professions such as sales, financial advisors, or any traveling role will suffice. read more

Hmmm I always thought I reviewed this place before, but I guess not. This Nordstrom Rack is located off Imperial Highway in Brea and it's pretty close to the Brea Mall if you want to do two things in a day. I like to check out Nordstrom Rack sometimes to see what they have or any of the deals and things like that but I feel like I got ripped off especially when it comes to buying certain brands of make up products. It isn't really any cheaper than buying it at a local store when it is on sale. But you can find some good deals on shoes but also that can be a hit or miss. Double check online and see if it is cheaper when you get there. I saw these shoes that were in Nordstrom Rack for $75.00 and thought it was a good deal, but then I looked on my phone and found it for sale online at $35.00. So beware some of the prices might seem low but you really got to do some research before you buy brands and things. They sell a variety of shoes, clothes, a small section of beauty, watches and very little home accessories. This is not one of my favorite locations but it is a big store. I just wish they had more things in my size. Sadly I never can find anything anymore. read more

Nordstrom Rack at Brea Union Plaza ! This is an older location of the Rack. It is similar to all the other locations. However, the last few times I have been here it seems like they have less for men compared to the other locations. The store sits amongst several useful stores. It is an outdoor shopping plaza. Other stores include eating places, Baby's R Us, Home Depot, and Walmart. On the same note, it always seems easier to shop here. The line is the same. It does seem less crowded. It could be the design and dynamics of the store interior. This location has all the same name brands and children's closing. You can get a ton of stuff and save a bundle. Nordstroms Rack, Brea.another reason the OC is the best place to live. read more

My go-to Nordstrom Rack. Typical layout and selection. Always have dressing rooms available, even when it's busy, so that's a plus. They try to lessen the line by offering check-outs throughout the store if you're paying with a credit card. It can get busy though, especially on weekends or during clear the rack. If you're looking for something specific, I'd suggest ordering it online - you can always return to the store for free (you do have to wait in those long lines though!). If you have more time to sift through, it's usually worth it. read more

Today was the first time I've been to the Brea location, as we normally go to the Chino Hills location. Even though today was New Year's, the store was packed with customers and also workers everywhere! All the registers were stacked with cashiers! I needed to return a few items that I had purchased from online and it was just easier to take it to the store than to pay to ship it back. The line was quite long, but that's to be expected at any Nordstrom Rack but it went by quickly. Of course, there were many items lining the checkout line for customers to check and see if they need anything. If you have less than 5ish items for purchase plus credit card, one can always find one of the staffed tables for faster checkout. The cashier, Megan, was really nice and answered any questions that I may have, with a first time online return at the store. Multi-tasker and quick! All my items were returned in a jiffy and she even picked up the main phone line that was ringing! After I finished, I wanted to check out a watch at the counter nearby, and she helped call an associate for me. I didn't get a chance to walk through the whole store but they seem to have quite the selection here. read more

I have been here multiple times and 4 out of 5 times I did not find anything that sparked my interest. My sole purchases from this Nordstrom Rack location were a pair of boots and a pair of Toms as a Christmas present to myself. Their shoe selection (yay they carry my size!) is alright, but clothing is more difficult to find. It's probably easier to find a diamond in the rough. I either don't care for the style or won't go for the price tag. I have nothing negative to report about the line or customer service the one time I've experienced it for myself. There are helpful employees in my book! My advice? Come here on a weekday. TBH I wish Nordstrom Rack had a better variety in men's formal/business wear. Even men's jeans are sparingly sighted. Good to get semi-clearance brand and designer clothes without shelling out the big bucks. Every time I've been, there's always a flock of shoppers sprinkled throughout the store. I particularly enjoy going through the clothing racks going left right left right right right left left right just so I don't have to deal with bumping into people. I'd rather juke out and step out of a clothing rack's way. At least, it's not moving so I know its intentions. Other people, I don't know. Sometimes they step right, sometimes they step left. Sometimes, they don't and act like a clothing rack. Because there's more than a handful of people, there's always a check-out line. At least, they keep everyone in 1 line while there's several registers open. That's what keeps the line moving. There's also express check-out near the center of the store where you see a green-shirt associate and pay for your stuff with credit/debit card and get out, but even that too has a line. When I see a line of more than 2 people at express check-out, I just don't bother and go straight to the main check-out line. When there's more registers open, you'll get out faster even when you have 8 people ahead of you. I don't know why, but people are so damn slow when they're shopping and much slower when checking out. Drives me crazy. I want to get my shit and drive away. -------------------------------------------------- QUICK TIPS: -------------------------------------------------- # Good selection of brand name and designer clothes for less than full price. Mark-offs are usually 25% off or more. # Returns and exchanges can only be done at the front by waiting in the main line, not express checkout # There's always people fluttering around the racks and aisles. And there's always a line at check-out. # An associate with a green shirt can create an express check-out line at one of the small desks around the store floor if you have 5 items or less and pay with credit/debit card. I find that express check-out is slower than the main line because it's 1 associate processing like 4 people vs. 5 associates processing a line of 10 people. More associates handling 1 line will usually get more people out the door. read more

I have love for all Nordstrom Racks, and I am fortunate that my new residence (CA) has more locations than the rest of the US combined. For my husband and our credit cards, not so lucky... The prices are fair compaired to buying retail, if you browse all the racks, I am a sucker for the clearance and designer show clearance you can get great deals, I usually set myself a limit to only get things under $100 a piece and you can actually find alot of high end designers within the budget, love it! The lines are always a bit long but they move along fast and now they have the new check out where all store workers can ring you up without having to get in line!
