I actually come out to this one quite a bit. Compared the the store in Costa Mesa, I feel this one has a much larger selection of shoes and clothes and JEANS! A LOT OF JEANS... I usually stop by on Sundays after church and find that the store isn't overly crowded and the line into the fitting room is not long at all. Service sucks, but who comes to this store for service? I don't know if it's a new thing, but I have been noticing that Nordstroms Racks are starting to carry makeup like Smashbox, Benefit, Stila, and DuWop. read more

I am a Nordstrom junkie and this place is another vessel that enables my addiction! I love shopping at the Nordstrom at Brea and the online site but unfortunately my meager wages barely cover the sales tax on many of my purchased items leading me to the next best solution of the Rack. This Rack always has new items coming in weekly and an extensive amount of shoe types and sizes. The variety of clothing sizes has definitely increased which is even more reason for me to come here. There are definitely times where I walk in with hopes of finding my next killer top and walk out with nothing. The rack can be overwhelming because the amount of items plus the amount of shoppers. Shopping at the Rack is like finding a needle in a hay stack, at first it may seem impossible but once you find it there is a feeling of elation and success :). A couple of tidbits about this place would be that it's packed on the weekends, the lines can get pretty long. Be prepared to stay a minimum of at least 30 minutes, and last of all limber up because you never know when you will need to snag the last top that's 70% off the Rack that some other person is looking at. read more

I am so disappointed In Nordstrom. I will not pull the card of much I've spent with this company.. to me it's all about customer service. The Manager Rick, needs to understand a little bit goes a long way. (He was not there at the time, but Sarah called him about a return I had previously called Corporate about) And Sarah, the cashier.. all I can say is that there are so many highly qualified looking for jobs. If you like to go to Nordstrom, you should try this Nordstrom rack. If you like Nordstrom rack, this one is one of the best. Wide selections in both style and size. How often you go a store that has stuff you like with mouthwatering price but lack of sizes you wear? But this place is exceptional. Why not 5 stars? They can improve the customer service. I was looking for a pair of jeans when an old Asian man a couple of feet from me asking one of the associate about a certain kind of pants the fine lady looked so bored and gave a very passive and short answer. I heart the Nordstrom Rack. I heart it with all my heart. Nothing like a day off to go to the rack and hunt for some lowered price buried treasure. Its like going into the real Nordstrom, except it's a bit more crowded and compact... and you don't get the piano guy. I admit, sometimes when you go and when you WANT to find something, that's when you turn up empty handed. Its days when you're down to your last dollar and just going inside to see if they have interesting... that's usually the time when you hit jackpot. Its all about patience. They have some crazy R-A-N-G-E when it comes to women's shoe sizes. They go from size 4 to 14. Amazing! Not only that, but they do special size sales where either petites or extended sizes are stocked extra deep and they open the store a little earlier for some extra bargains. At 6'3", I wear 12 and maybe some 13 and I can always find something cute and useful here. Also, they just put up a new wall of shoes that are on clearance for 85% off. Seriously. I saw some amazing stuff that would have been great for my best friend for under $10. I agree with some other reviewers that more cashiers would be helpful but at the same time, I have a feeling that this store is always gonna be packed not matter how many staff you add. The customer service at this location has declined severely in the last six to twelve month. I realize I'm not paying Nordstrom prices but I'm also not paying Walmart prices yet receiving worst than Walmart-like customer service. I no longer feel welcomed being in the store as I felt I welcomed during my visit. Who wants to visit a store when the Nordstrom Rack greeter acts annoyed that you entered the store, and the dressing room employee acts annoyed that you're asking to try on clothes, and the cashier acts annoyed that you stood in line to pay for the clothes . I'm reminded that it's my hard earned money and I have no problem spending my money ,for stuff I DON'T NEED, somewhere else. Just thinking about my experience today- especially with the completely rude and annoyed door greeter is making me wish I had just left the store as soon as I walked in. And I'm getting no satisfaction from my purchase of an unnecessary purse as I already have plenty of purses. I will instead return the item and put that money towards my retirement account. UPDATE: I returns the $300 purse the next day and what do you know, the cashier started out her exchange with an attitude. When she asked if there was anything wrong with the purse I told her yes- it was the poor customer service. If bargain shopping was a sport, then I'd be a serious competitor. The Nordstroms Rack is one of my favorite bargain shops to hit, and this one, located in Chino, is quite possible the most organized one I have been to. No joke, I don't know how they do it, but they do. I have found many a bargains for myself and as gifts at this location, and I didn't have to do quite as much 'digging' as one would expect to do at a rack store. JOE'S JEANS! Yay! I'm a fan. Was thinking the Nordstrom Rack in Ontario was my only option in the IE until my mom told me there was one in Chino. I look so bootylicious in these jeans. Also I seem to have dropped 20 pounds and what's this? No highwaters?! Hallelujah this tall girl's prayers have been answered. Nordstrom Racks are lifesavers for tall girls. Only here can I find affordable dresses and jeans long enough that don't make me look like a streetwalker or Steve Urkel. Why 4 stars instead of 5? While this store definitely has a large selection, the majority of the selection are pretty basic. I think the items in this store are "safe" and cater more to the suburban mom demographic. Doesn't mean you can't find some trendy, fashionable things but it's definitely not going to be as stylish as say the San francisco store. My mom sure had fun though :) read more

Just went to Nords Rack to buy some clothes for work... I found a top that they had the last one of in my size and it had a stain on it, I asked them to discount it and they refused I even asked the manager and she said no! They said since it was already marked down that they couldn't take the 10% discount off which would have equaled to about $1.20 ... Perfect place to shop especially for men. They have most of the good brands at very reasonable prices. I love the summer time because they have great sports wear from brands like nike, adidas, reebok and all for great prices. They also have a great shoe selection. I've probably bought 4-5 pairs in the past year here. Lastly, they have a lot of ties and they are mostly around $15. read more

This is from my experience only. I have encountered long lines but they weren't as bad as some say. They do have smaller checkouts through out the store so you don't have to stand in the longer line in the main checkout area. I do however notice it's way busier on weekends. Best to do your shopping at different times. I have bought many great outfits here. And you'd find great deals! Love the clearance! I've never had a problem with customer service. If the Nordstrom standards for service are supposed to spill over into their Rack stores, this one misses by a long-shot. Store is over crowded with merchandise and I have not been in there on the last 5 visits that there has not been an unacceptably long wait at the register. I always come here looking for shoes, since they have lots of and bigger sizes too. I just can't seem to find any good ones lately. Love this place for high-end brands and quality stuff. Came here to shop for the bf and have gotten him RVCA pants and very nice dress shirts before. Always have cute stuff!! However I came here today and the customer services was not up to par. Went in to try clothes and the employees lagged on getting me a fitting room while chatting to co-workers. ALSO. the phone constantly rang and I don't know if it was a customer or not but it bugged the crap out of me. Maybe it's bc I work at an office but I seriously wanted to smack someone. This place is located along with other businesses, but parking is not that difficult to find as long as you avoid weekends and holidays. The store is always clean. One can expect the cloth sizes to be mixed in other size areas in which I found a few today. I suppose that's one of the challenges of shopping at a discounted clothing store. The price of clothes can be great with well known brand names. Just have to search for them. Have been here a many times. There were two employees in the dressing room. For whatever reason, one person in the dressing room was rude whereas the other was quite proper with customer service approach. We couldn't find anything we needed, so no purchase was made this time. I'll continue to come here and perhaps rate differently depending on the service. read more

I love to go to Nordstrom's rack!! I never know what kind of great deals I'll find. This nordstroms rack has an amazing selection and its clean and tidy. I've been to the Burbank one and also the one in Topanga but this one would ultimately be my favorite.You'll seriously find a better quality, name brand at amazing prices!! They usually have at least 3 registers opened or more so you don't wait that long. The dressing rooms are currently under constructions so watch out because you will be put in this tiny dressing room made out of cardboard with doors that close with Velcro but don't let that dismay you from finding a fantastic deal. The long drive from civilization is worth it for the deals you can get in this place. There are much nicer Nordstrom Rack locations, but those places seem to get better business so the good items go pretty quick. I think because this place is so far out and the clientele in the area are a bit different... you can usually find what you want in the sizes you want at this location. It is pretty far out and it's hotter than heck out there, but worth the drive. It makes for an interesting experience to say the least. read more

I just found out about this location. The last I knew was of the one on Philadelphia that closed 10+ yrs ago. This one isn't any better than the one at the Ontario Mills. Nordstrom Rack was the place to potentially find clothes for a lot cheaper than the normal price. This place was smaller than some other locations I've been to and was located in an outlet with a lot of stores. There were a lot of people in here shopping so some areas were busy like the shoe area. I was able to find a pair of jeans that I liked and was priced around $40 when it originally was over $100. There was not a lot of choices besides that since a lot of the sizes were way too big for me. Other than that, I thought this Nordstrom Rack was okay and may or may not have what you're looking for. read more

Decent Nordstrom Rack. We came here on a rainy day in March ( yeah rainy in March). There were quite a few people here, probably trying to avoid the rain just as we were. They had a pretty slim selection of men's clothing, but I was able to find a shirt after turning, and turning through the racks. My GF also found a few nice shirts. Awesome, awesome, awesome!! I never shop at the regular Nordstrom anymore now that I have Nordstrom Rack down the street. They have a wide selection of the fancy schmancy jeans that I love so much and as of recently, they have a HUGE selection of Juicy Couture sweatsuits. They get in new stuff all the time, so check back often. The accessories are great, too. I scored a sweeeet Michael Kors bag there last year that's my absolute favorite. 1 Star for the pushy cashiers who can't take "No" for an answer. No I don't want the Rewards Program. I couldn't believe throughout my WHOLE transaction she couldn't stop talking....I was so irritated. I was polite, told her no and she wouldn't take no for an answer. Pushy, persistent and totally annoying! Each and every time I come here they ask me, but this one woman I recognized her from the last time I was there really just frustrated the crap out of me! I would stop here when I was commuting to Corona for work to let the traffic die down. There's a lot to do out here in this area. I stopped here many times over course of summer 08. I always had good service and if there was something I wanted they didn't have, they would track it down in stores for me. There are few brand names like "Dolce" (not D&G) that are only for Rack stores. Does my $3 "Made in the USA" skirt tell you about the value or how about my $10 Sashimi brand military jacket? The dress was what inspired me to write all the vacation reviews. It looks like a simple halter dress made from extremely soft fabric (Micro-Modal) and rouching in the mid-section ... many summer dresses are trying to pull off of this design ... but by far ... hands down ... Maria Bianca Nero does the best job! She understands the needs of women to have inner lining and enough support to skip the bra on vacations ... and definitely the sexy without the slutty factor. So what if it is "dry clean only" ... that dress is soooo hot that I had plans to go commando ... yes, it's that hot! Well, that was the plan until I canceled the weekend vacay and opted for a relaxing vacation with my friends. 1 star for lousy customer service today. Brought in a pair of boots given to my daughter as a gift for credit or exchange. No gift receipt but comes with the original box and price sticker. Merchandise is in unused condition with no scratches at the bottom. Catty cashier said she will get it back for a penny(!!!) as they no longer have the item in store, giving me no choice but to keep this nice pair of boots that my daughter will never use!!! I went to return a couple of items, and needed a different size for a dress, since they didn't have it, they checked said it was only out of state. I told the sales lady I would just take the dress back & maybe my daughter could find one similar. When the cashier rang it up, it was much cheaper, which I did not know. She asked for my return receipt & seen it was now cheaper, so she asked the manager Rick Parra if I could have it for that price, he said NO! Then I got upset...and said he was a jerk...he thanked me & said he was going to have to tell me to leave...I replied "What are you going to do call the police & have me removed?? So I bought the dress, they charged me full price!! They had me there for 15 mins, when I left the store, a couple stopped me to tell me he was rude, unprofessional, & had a bad attitude! I was at Nordstrom's Rack today in Chino Hills trying to find a shirt for our son. We found one but wanted to go look at one other store before purchasing it and asked the cashier at the front to hold it for an hour and she told me no we don't do that. I said ok we will not be back she responded ok bye. We are headed to Men's Wearhouse to make a purchase. The manager at Nordstrom's Rack said sorry that's our policy and was not willing to help us spend our money.
