Anyone who buys their 7's for all mankind jeans anywhere else and pays full price for them are just plain idiotic. Ok I admit, I've been an idiot a couple of times, BUT I've learned my lesson. This place charges half the price and the jeans are exactly the same. I like to come here to replenish my array of cologne's. Good prices for well known and good smelling bottles. The only thing I can't seem to find or get my hands on is a good pair of Rock & Republics. They are either too weird looking or people grab them before I get there. It astounds me too see 12-17 year old kids there buying these jeans and their parents are there paying for it...SPOILED!!! But all in all, "The Rack" is a good store, but try to get there on the first Tuesday of each month to ravage through their fresh shipment. read more

I ordered some shoes for my husband online with the Rack. I did this because he has a size 13 wide foot and because I have shopped with Nordstrom and the Rack for 25 plus years. I have never had the issues that I had today. I returned 3 pairs of shoes with the receipts in each box. I asked for a gift card because we wanted to buy another pair of shoes at the store where he could try them on. Upon returning them the cashier was having problem doing the refund. She had to call the online center. After about 20 minutes we were told the money had to be refunded to the card we used. There were different reasons given. First we were told that we had already returned the shoes. Hum then how did I get the pairs that are sitting in front of you. When I pushed back, we were told that it was a system glitch and they would have to process a manual return. I also heard her talk about two of the shoes don't show being shipped. Hum, well we have all 3 pairs of shoes. So she gave us an amount to be credited, but it didn't add up to the total of the 3 pairs plus tax The cashier ignored me when I questioned this while she was on the phone with the online department. She told me we would have to call the online department ourselves. We were treated like we were stealing from the store. It was embarrassing. People were looking at us and it took around half hour. We left the store. I called online and spent another 20 minutes on the phone. All to find out that the reason the amount was smaller was we were charged a $5.95 return label fee. REALLY! Needless to say I was pissed. They tried to hide this from us. I was able to get the person on the phone to credit it back and to credit my original shipping. However, now I have to wait 3-5 days for that credit and 7-10 business days for the actual shoe credit. This IS NOT good customer service. At this point I am not confident that it will be credited back correctly. DON'T shop here unless you do not need to return anything!!! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! read more

This has always been my favorite Rack until now!!! One more chance to redeem themselves and I will be shopping at the Laguna Beach store. What I witnessed last Friday was unreal and I'm sorry that I didn't take my concerns to management, though upon reading other reviews I'm sure they are too busy to care. Waiting in line for the fitting rooms and not only was I ignored to receive a number (while employes catered to their clients behind me in line) one staff member began telling me all about a ruined item that apparently she thought I had asked about,(wrong client my dear). By this time the customers behind me were taken to a dressing room, so I asked if I was invisible to which no apologies were given. Though it appears staff didn't care if I had a dressing room or not, aren't they trained to at least fake it to be at least courteous? Here's the clincher of my question whether to return to this particular rack ever again! My anger and disappointment forced me to go home and review the ratings on this particular Rack. I was correct in my assumption that the sales staff works for commission, which I thought was only for the actual Nordstrom stores. It all made since after I observed two different sales people on their in store communication phones almost giving each other codes while I and several other customers waited in their kiosk lines. Never will I go to a kiosk to pay for merchandise again, even if the regular service line is a block long! The two associates did a switch on the register (mind you, clients are waiting) while they each slowly edged in two different customers both with (not exaggerating) shopping carts filled to their bream! Hello commission!!!! Both must of told the clients to stay in the background while they pretend to be doing an exchange for someone else, as eventually each of the shopping cart owners appeared as though it was normal. Twice the sales associate said "we will be with you," but I was ignored when I asked where our sales girl went. Has anyone ever witnessed at the Rack an associate having a line at her kiosk and walks away for over 5 minutes and then another associate begins to ring up merchandise laying on the same counter? Finally I left for another register while wishing the customers behind me "good luck"! I found a sales associate at the jewelry counter and she begin to ring up my purchase, except she assumed the merchandise on the counter was mine (didn't ask) while all I had was one item in my hand. When I gave her a pre-paid Visa card and my Nordstrom charge card she said I would have to turn the Visa card into a Nordstrom gift card first to use it. By this time I wanted to jump over her counter and shake some since into her! I walked out so disappointed that my favorite store might have become history forever!! Beware of kiosks shoppers and just hope my lonely item was worth it! read more

This place seems better for women than men. You can still find things but you really need to look and make sure it wasn't on a weekend because nothing will be left. I prefer actual Nordstroms. Yes expensive but at least you can find what you are looking for. But this is a good alternative for some items. It is hit or miss. If you are a girl then yes...come. I have shopped here with some girl friends after grabbing a coffee and they seemed to like the store. For me, it hardly makes a three star rating but it can work. read more

This is the best nordstrom rack and the only nordy rack that i will shop at. its pretty big and they carry a lot of different brands and a lot of it! It makes it worthwhile to browse through racks and racks of clothing. You will definitely find something when you walk in there...even if you really don't need it. The jeans are always my first stop. They carry all top name brands of jeans such as R&R, sevens, true religions etc. for usually 40% off or more. its such a good deal. I usually snag pairs for $100. Jeans and handbags are the only thing i will shell out money that i do not have for. their designer shoe section is also really nice. Still pricey in my opinion, but its better than paying $300 for a pair of cole haan boots or burberry flats. They have a good assortment of sunglasses too. I was pretty disapointed about finding my fendi sunglasses here for $70 when they cost my bf almost $300. ALSO when i was at Huntington beach, i stupidly wore them into the water because i forgot i had them on, and the next thing i know, a huge wave knocks me right over and my sunglasses were lost forever. i felt super bad esp cuz they were a gift from my bf. =*( ANYWAYS... if you love to shop, and if you love great bargains on quality stuff come here! read more

I actually visit this store when hubby needs new shoes. I have bought a few pair of Merrells for him at more than half off the retail price. Eccos are a good bargain too if you are patient enough to look through each rack. Most of the times, especially during sales, the sizes are all over the place. And just last week, all the Roxy's were half off the lowest price, I bought a few tees for my friend's teenage daughters for $4.97 each, and hoodies for $12! read more

I love nordstroms rack and all the great designer deals they have! BUT if you are like me and get frustrated by a cluttered store, stay away from this one. Very unorganized I was only here for twenty minutes and then drove to the one in Huntington Beach. They have too much merchandise for one building, you are either bumping into someone or a rack, not to mention the shoe section! The shoe section is such a mess! Especially the kids size aisle. Thank God I don't live here or this Nordstrom Rack and I would be BFFs. My coworkers kept telling me that I needed to come here but I don't do search shopping - it's just not my thing. Then my coworker said the word designer and I was done for. I headed over here after work to check out some designer bags. The place was very well organized compared to other stores like this and I easily made my way through the store. Betsey, Marc, and Michael (yes, we are on a first name basis) had a good variety of their stuff in jewlery, purses, and sunglasses. What a great place to buy someone a nice gift without paying the "nice" price!! I ended up walking out of there with a pair of jeans, work slacks, and a Ralph Lauren sweater for $100. I did find a Michael Kors and Marc by Marc Jacobs purse that I liked - but my new rule is that I can't buy it unless I love it. Prices are good but employees are horrible. I needed to make a return and had to take over the computer to help the employee find a return. The filter was 0-62 days and she hit that button three times even after I told her the day I bought the item which was just outside that range even though it was within their 90 day return policy. Then she hit the month that was 90-120 days ago so I just asked her if I could find it and found it right away. I've never worked at a Nordstrom so it's sad I'm better at using their system than an employee. She hardly spoke English and if you can't communicate with with your customers you should not be in retail. Experiences like this make me wonder if paying more at a real department store is worth it. Yes I saved $50 but I spent 10 minutes in line and had to talk to an idiot for 5 minutes. I value my time speaking with idiots at $20 per minute i so lost big time on this transaction. read more

Customer service is Meh at best. Customer service agents are pleasant but they can't help you. They can't place an order, when the customer is having issues. More often than not I receive a message that says the website is under construction, and that is only when I am I am trying to check out. I spent over an hour today trying to purchase 2 items. This is not the first time I have had this problem. It happens often. They need to take a hard look at how they can upgrade their website to be more efficient. read more

I was shopping in the men's shoe department and couldn't help notice that a number of designer shoes selling for over $200 were actually previously worn. Not tried on but worn and they didn't have the worn and refurbished sticker on them that they sometimes slap on used shoes. Apparently the shoe buyer doesn't want to take a deeper mark down to get rid of the used shoes and he wants us to think they are new. I may be mistaken but I was under the impression that it was illegal to sell used clothing/shoes without notifying the customer that the item they are purchasing has been worn. It wasn't just one pari of shoes but several. Come on Nordstrom, you should be better than that! Used shoes are gross enough but not telling the customer that the beat up shoes were used and trying to pass them off is downright dishonest. Look hard before you plunk down your hard earned cash as this is a bad business decision on their part. read more

I have never experience such attitude in a Nordstrom rack before. The cash register Leanne, Li'anne, or something, was very rude to me. Not only was the shoes had the "wrong price tag" (that is the employees fault, not mine, but she acted like it was my fault) she gave me attitude when she claim that she couldn't sell me the shoes because the label was incorrect when in fact it was the same shoes but different color. She did not even greet me when I went to the register. Not only did it take two/three people to try and re ticket the shoe, it took forever. I'm patient but this was ridiculous for one pair of shoes. I'm guessing as an employee at Nordstrom rack, she doesn't know how to re ticket the shoes herself, find the actual price for the shoes, or actually do her job. If I were the manager, I'd let her go. She does not even seem so happy at her job. She also seem to be very discriminative of me. I don't know if she meant to be, but CERTAINLY her attitude towards me makes it seem she was being discriminative, maybe because I'm Asian. If I want happier customer, less pissed off customers, then I would have let her go. That would also open up jobs for younger employees who might be more enthusiastic about their jobs and probably have better training than she had. I feel insulted and irritated. I'm sure I won't be visiting the Nordstrom rack here anymore. read more

I'm a big fan of Nordstrom Rack. You find nearly everything at Nordstrom, but at lower prices. Yea the things may be off by a season, but who cares. The reason I like this location better than any other is the selection. Theres a good 2-3 aisles of size 10.5 shoes to keep my footwear rotation intact at reasonable prices. The wife loves it too as the store is nearly 2/3 womens items. So if you're making a trip to southcoast but have a limited budget, you know where to go. read more

I am truly disappointed with the Metro Pointe Rack after their remodel!!! I have been a Rack shopper since they opened the first store in Costa Mesa (Santa Ana) years ago. Almost all they have in the store now are special purchases....hardly anything at all from the full-price Nordstrom stores. Those marked down items are what I shop the Rack for. The way they display what they do have marked down reminds me of a bargain basement! Clothes from every department are lined up on long messy racks or on the floor!! Store had some really nice finds however they lacked in the customer service department. Especially the shoe department, it was a mess thins miss marked and the lady had no idea what was going on. I wanted to purchase a pair of converse they were missing a shoe lace there was nothing they could do they wouldn't even mark the shoe down so I just said never mind to that pair. There was also a pair of toms I wanted to purchase which were miss marked with a couple different price tags. I went to the front to try to get a price and the lady in the shoe department was busy doing other things rather then finding a price. They had me waiting over 10 minutes at the front cashier holding up the line until I finally said never mind Because I needed to make it to work on time. The girl at the front cashier had an attitude since I did not want the shoes instead of trying to help the unhelpful girl from the shoe department. They should try to help customers out especially when there is a problem caused by their employes like putting the wrong price tags on items. read more
