I stopped by Sephora after dinner to restock a couple of items. It was around 5:30-6 in the evening, and I was with my niece. Unfortunately, not one employee greeted us or asked if we needed help while we were in the store. I was able to find what I needed on my own, but the lack of customer service was noticeable. When I got to the register, the gentleman didn't ask if I had points or mention anything about rewards. I was trying to check my Sephora app to see if I had any coupons, and it felt like he was rushing me through the transaction. There wasn't even a line behind me, so it felt unnecessary. I really don't enjoy going into this location. I'd rather shop at Kohl's or just order online next time. read more

I have never met a Sephora I did not like! Of course the variety of products is amazing, number one. Secondly, customer service is always available....as in the moment you walk through the doors someone is greeting you. Everyone I have encountered is always knowledgeable, professional and friendly. And if by chance whomever is assisting me, and he or she does not have the expertise in a particular area, they will find the in house associate who does. I really appreciate that about Sephora. So many quality items from which to choose. I have used the eyebrow waxing services several times with great results . Bright, well lit, clean, and organized stores. Definitely a fun place to browse and get educated about what is trending in the world of beauty products! My last encounter was to find a caramel color eyebrow powder. Great customer service great products. I can't leave the store without spending at least a hundo, and that's only if you want 4 things! But high quality products are important. They have awesome customer service (because they're on commission you will get tons of people asking how you're doing). And every employee here has a pretty good idea of how to help you and your complexion. You can also purchase these products on Amazon if you don't feel like walking in, but with Sephora, you get to take advantage of your birthday deals! They don't carry La Roche-Posay, so that will forever be an online thing, but they have almost all trending items. Encounters are hit or miss with the employees at this location! Some of the employees are very engaging and some are not interested. During a recent visit, I wanted to place an order for a product that was not available in store. As I approach the counter, a sales associate sitting on a stool reaching up towards the register advised the product was out of stock. When I got home, I went online to see if they had an alert available for when the product is back in stock. To my surprise, the product was available for ordering. Obviously, the sales person was too lazy to fill the order. I should've known by her body language, she didn't care to assist the customer. Employees like this give stores a bad name! read more

The customer service was awful & the manager was too busy to bothered to work the register. There was only one cashier a she was helping a family. I waited 10 minutes for my turn, by that time, there were 10 people behind me waiting to be rang up. Literally, the manager was at the register not doing anything but talking with another employee. When it was my turn I called the manager out on it and she said there was nothing she could do about it. Do t go here if you are looking for excellent customer service because you won't get it! I happened upon this huge new Sephora store while strolling around The Fountains yesterday. It seemed a lot bigger and busier than either of the Folsom locations. As I wandered around, I noticed a sign in the Fenty section that said I could sample my match for free. I made eye contact with a sales associate, who immediately approached to offer assistance. He tried a swatch on each side of my face, and then dug out the appropriate sample. (They turned out to be prepackaged, hiding in a nearby cabinet.) I've been wanting to try Fenty foundation for a long time, so I was pretty excited to get a free sample. He just asked me to have it scanned in to the register (so that they get replenished), which took no time at all. As an added bonus, I also stopped by the fine fragrance section for a spritz or seven of my current favorite scent, Ruby Orchid Flowerbomb. This location is huge, nicely lit, well-stocked, and full of friendly associates. I'm glad I stumbled upon it, and would definitely shop here again in the future. read more

This is my favorite Sephora in town. Although the parking can be a bit difficult when it comes to parking the fountains, the Sephora itself is top tier. The layout and the cleanliness of this location supersedes the mall location across the street. There are certainly larger facilities with more options for things, but this Sephora does the trick. They have a little bit of everything when you get there and even some designer makeup brands like Dior and YSL too. I would highly recommend this location if you're doing order for pickup, this is the best location for pickup, as well as varieties. Often the one at the mall is out of something and you can find it here no problem. This is my go to Sephora and I hope it becomes yours too. read more

TEN STARS! I have been here three times already and they just recently opened. That's how much I love this store! This review is for the new location at The Fountains Shopping Center. It is on the South side of the street by Chico's. The shopping center is beautiful. This new Sephora location is AWESOME. The store itself is huge! I think it's the largest in the Sacramento area now. It's bright inside, and happy and clean and sparkly. They did a great job. Everything is spread out too, so it's easy to find things and not feel crowded. I cannot express how pretty it is inside! Each time I've come in I am greeted by the door and welcomed. They have Covid precautions and hand sanitizer everywhere. You cannot test items right now because of Covid which is a bummer - but safe. As I walk around, everyone is saying hi to me and 'can I help you?' And then checking back with me. Also, the employees are very cheerful and positive. I get the feeling they are very happy to work there. The checkout process is fast and efficient. There's really nothing more I can say. If you're a makeup addict like me, get yourself over to this store. You will be glad you did. So happy to have this now as a regular stop for me on my errands days. read more

I'm a regular, and a VIB Rouge member at Sephora. I come into this location a ton alone, and with my sister. I've had a few positive customer service experiences.. although this last time was an awful mess. My sister and I went yesterday 11/11/24 to grab the OS Setting Spray, along with a few other pricier items that we knew we wanted to spend up on since it was the sale. We were aware of the promotional that we saw online, where we are able to spend $50 and get an included Sephora cloth tote bag. When we were at the register the employee an brunette woman with brown eyes, and bigger in stature was being friendly until we asked for the tote bag she was being condescending in her tone. Although we still got our transaction completed, afterward I was in the travel sized aisle spraying a Charlotte Tilbury setting spray, because I really wanted to know if it had a fragrance to it. I was going to purchase it. Until she stopped helping the next customer in line, and started yelling out to me that I'm not allowed to spray the product. A few things that I have to say is wrong with this comment. First of all, my sister and I were just helped by her minutes ago, and she was interrupting the next customer in line. She didn't need to stop the 10 person line to scream at me rudely. Also, I just spent over $70 worth of products at the store. Who knows if I was going to purchase what I just "accidentally" sprayed. I wanted to see if I liked it the scent first. I do not know what her deal was. We left feeling outed, and not valued as customers after spending a lot of money. My sister and I called and filed a complaint minutes after we left the store. The man we got on the phone was kind, and offered to let us know that he'll speak with his team. I most likely will not be coming back to this location. Which is a huge bummer because my sister and I enjoy shopping in store for our cosmetics. read more

Their service is way better than the one at the Arden mall. Me and my best friend stopped by yesterday to finally re-stock on make up and people there are friendly and very accommodating, the cashier even let me collect my birthday gift late and handed us free samples without even asking. It was my best friend's birthday so I had her sign up to be a member and she was able to get a birthday present yesterday. I will definitely be coming back to this location. They also have a variety of brands in the skincare section and is more organize than the other sephora store. It is a drive out for me but totally worth it. I would normally leave this alone but after seeing the numerous other bad reviews from this store I thought I'd leave mine. I came here Sunday evening with my boyfriend. When we were walking up to the doors there was an older woman employee (or manager I'm not sure) standing in the way of the door without speaking to us. We were trying to squeeze in between her and the door and she looks back at us (clearly annoyed) and says that they close at 6pm. Totally understandable! Our bad, until we walked away and I look at the time to see it's 5:54pm. All I needed was to grab one thing knowing exactly where it was, she didn't know this (because she didn't ask). This really left a bad taste in my mouth because after working in customer service for years I would never block the door even one minute til close because that's disrespectful! I know "those people" can be annoying, but even I help them with a smile on my face because that's just what you do when you work in customer service. I have NEVER declined anyone at the door just because we're closing in 6 minutes and I have never experienced a place that has before here. Even a "come on in, just letting you know we close in 6 minutes" would've sufficed. I know you're trying to go home, but I would've well been out of there by 6:00pm. Call me a Karen, but as a customer if I make it to the store before you're officially closed I should still be able to make a purchase. read more

I never thought I'd review a Sephora but this one is worth reviewing! It's located in the Roseville fountains, which is near the galleria but not as chaotic. I went just to browse but ended up purchasing some things. I have to give a huge shoutout to Hayley!! She gave a warm welcome as we entered the doors. I feel like half the time whenever I enter a store like Sephora, workers don't really care to approach customers. Hayley was so helpful and knowledgeable about many hair products. She seemed to have full awareness of all the products honestly. Not only was Hayley friendly but other workers here were friendly and approachable as well. Ela was helpful and patient and answered questions about the foundation I was interested in trying and buying. She was able to assist me with trying out the color for my complexion. Unfortunately Sephora does not protect customers from product quality. I bought an eye pencil that was not sharpening and they sold me a sharpening tool that they said would help me, but it did not. They refused to even give me a store credit and said they would not do anything for me because the window for returns had passed. I didn't want my money back. I just wanted a product that wasn't defective. Needless to say, I will not be shopping at their store due to the lack of quality customer service. This was my first time stepping into any Sephora and making a purchase and I would 100% recommend this location. They follow COVID guidelines extremely diligently and the staff is very very friendly. Ela helped me today with all my questions about skincare and stayed patient throughout the entire process. I ended up walking out with 2 new cleansers and some info that I didn't know before about skincare that I definitely needed! While I haven't been in here with a large crowd (they keep very few people in the store due to covid, another plus!), I imagine this location won't feel as claustrophobic as the Galleria one.
