I had a carpet runner that I needed to wash and found this place through the strong Yelp reviews. After I got there, I wondered if I was at the same place that all the 5-star reviewers went to! There were no helpful attendants, just one young woman, for whom you had to ring a bell and then patiently wait for her to appear. There was some pantomime between us as her English wasn't good enough to fluently answer questions about USING THE LAUNDRY MACHINES!!! Argh... I just wanted to know which washer was big enough to handle my heavy runner... Anyway, I loaded a big washer, put in my money and detergent, and waited till it stopped spinning. It was the middle of a Monday afternoon and there were only three other customers. The Jerry Springer Show was blasting on the TV. There were numerous signs saying you had to wear a mask and to wait for your laundry to finish in your car, but no one was paying attention and the attendant was the only one without a mask. This place has a by-the-pound dry cleaning machine, which I'd never seen before. I'll try it out when winter's over and it's time to dry clean sweaters and coats but I think I'll go elsewhere for heavy laundry loads. I have not had a need for a laundromat for probably 20 years. But, while on extended business travel, I had a sudden need. When I arrived, I had no idea how to proceed with using the equipment, but a wonderfully friendly and helpful attendant (I think her name was Linda?) walked me through the process and got me in and out in under an hour. I live in South City, and I drive out of my way past multiple laundry mats just to be here. This location is clean always, the ladies that run it are so nice and helpful. It's always peaceful, everyone who comes in respects the space and property of others. Very Cost Effective! Saves me money and does not take all day. This place is so nice, I wish they would update theirs sitting area just with new chairs. There's nothing wrong with the chairs, I'd just like to have something nicer for such a peaceful and gem of a place. The hours are great, I feel safe as woman in mid 20s. The ladies that work here are SO helpful and kind. They help you pick machines that are best for your laundry and show you how to work them. It looks a little run down but the machines work great. I never thought I would rave about a laundromat but the staff made it a great experience. read more

If you have loads and loads of dry cleaning to do, this is the place. You can do it yourself to save money ($1.50/pound). For just a little extra, they will do it for you ($2/pound). THEY DON'T PRESS YOUR CLOTHES. Hangars are extra. I honestly don't know if they pretreat spots either. I usually do things like sweaters in bulk which don't need fancy treatment. Very friendly staff. Did I mention that they are also extremely fast? If the bulk dry cleaning machine is not in use, you can be in and out of there in about an hour I think (I always drop my stuff off). They have the huge washing machines as well for things like bedspreads and sleeping bags. read more

As far as laundromats go this place was pretty standard. Their hours at 7am-8pm everyday, which is pretty good, and the prices for washing ranged from 1.50 to 3.00+ depending on what machine you picked. Dyers were .25 for like 9 minutes. The staff is friendly, and most of the people there are nice. The place has an 80s feel to it, and it doesn't have much in terms of entertainment, but whatever. read more

This place has actually been in business much longer than indicated. I have been going here since 2002. The previous owner was ran things well and provided a good, inexpensive service. Granted he was no saint to deal with but the actual job done was great for the price. I recently took my down comforter there for its annual cleaning before being stored for the summer. This was a $550.00 comforter and that was on sale! They had always done a good job so I wasn't concerned. When I went to pick it up with the other things I had dropped off, I was handed all my other belongings but no comforter. The person working there knew my comforter had been stolen prior to me coming in and admitted that the owner knew as well. It was stolen the day I dropped it off and no one bothered to call and tell me. It took over a week to get in contact with the new owner. He said he would replace it. When I told him how much it was worth, he hesitated and started pointing out that it was almost a year old (we have had multiple down comforters and always brought them there) and it had a stain on it. I replied that the employee told me they were able to remove the stain and it looked just like new. I said I would find something similar online to give him an idea of what thread count it was, weight, etc, and the prices. I printed out the similar comforters and said I really would just prefer money as we may want to upgrade to a nicer one I found. I received a call a week later saying my comforter was in and the issue was settled. When I went to look at what was ordered it was nothing like what I had. It also had been purchased from Ebay and I have no receipt or proof it is new. He refused to take any more of my calls and would not refund me the $60 I paid to have it cleaned in the first place! NEVER AGAIN and now considering legal action. read more
