Maybe 2.5 but nowhere close to 3 stars. This spot is located within the Franklin Park Food Court. It appeared to be the least greasy of other Asian vendors within the Food Court. When I inquired about the Steamed 2 Special, I was told I needed to order the #4 Chicken and Shrimp Teriyaki. There appeared to be a language barrier and so I settled on the #4 with very light Teriyaki sauce. When I specified the vegetable as broccoli, I watched as the counter person scooped pre-prepared broccoli onto the styrofoam plate. While I had hoped the broccoli would be freshly made along with the shrimp and chicken, I saw that it was not an option without an argument- and I had already had too long a day. The chicken and shrimp teriyaki was actually not bad. However, the pre-cooked broccoli had an awfully bitter aftertaste. I ate what I could and tossed the rest as not worth saving due to the quality of the broccoli and the bitter aftertaste it left on anything it touched. Since I ate in the Food Court at the Mall, the ambiance was very casual and very public- basically just a place to sit and eat your meal. I noticed workers trying to keep the area clean, which I appreciated. My experience at Nori Japan was a very basic meal that wasn't horrible overall. My go to in the mall whenever I visit. Fast and a affordable Japanese chicken & shrimp teriyaki is always my option. I always go for the Japanese chicken Teriyaki at all the malls, and if I'm not feeling it that day, I'll go to Chick-fil-A. You get it grilled right in front of you, and you get a large portion in your Styrofoam container with vegetables and choice of fried or steamed rice. read more

We were there over weekday around holiday time, the young girl with the glass was not very patient, too rush not smile or very nice,the food just ok. They need to understand that It will take time to order something that we not familiar with and worth the money we pay. Made a mistake stopping here. Order a Hollywood roll and spicy tuna roll. The Hollywood roll was ok. the spicy tuna roll, the tuna is from a can, you taste the low quality food the food. For the price this place is cutting a lot of corners. read more

I'm new to the area but not new to Asian food (grew up in SF Bay Area). Although I cause the staff a bit of trouble with my confusion between BBQ v. teriyaki chicken and changing this and that while ordering, they were very patient with me and kindly accommodated my request. I tried the combo with a double servings of BBQ chicken and was happy to find that it taste like sweet bourbon chicken with char grill goodness. Yummy! I did not try it but the fried rice, mushrooms, and broccoli all look fresh and tempting - way better than Magic Wok. I will be back for more. Really not a fan at all . Only thing with flavor was the brown sauce and it was so over powering it gave me heart burn . The sweat and sour chicken was very plain . The rice taste like cardboard, like literal cardboard . The peas were very hard along w the carrots . I really was not impressed what so ever , my experience was awful. read more

I just ordered the sesame chicken with rice. And watched the lady behind the counter mixing in old, stale chicken and pieces of fallen off batter into the new fresh sesame chicken. I didn't realize what she was doing right away as I ordered a combo meal and thought she was putting two different kinds of chicken into the Togo box. But then when we sat down to eat I got a much closer look at what was in the box. I found a couple fresh pieces that were enjoyable until I got below the surface and found nothing but extremely tough batter and some tough battered pieces of chicken which made up about 75% of the meat. My 3 year old niece took a small piece, chewed on it for a few minutes... Literally, and then spit it out and it was still a whole piece. She could not chew it up to consume it. This is Saturday at dinner time so god only knows just how old that food was. I feel sick to my stomach. The people working did nothing to try and fix the problem.
