Oh absolutely loved it here! We sat outside. Heaters were available if cold To try, my fave was the cucumber cocktail. My second one, I forget, was delicious as well. To eat: had the scallion Wellington. Absolutely delicious! Shared the lobster tail and steak Diane. The steak Diane was okay, lobster tail was tasty.

Personally, this is now after visiting my favorite restaurant in town Bartender was super talkative and fun. The margarita I had was complex with a slight kick at the end The filet mignon meal I had was easily in the top three most comforting meals I've ever eaten in my whole life. All of the vegetables were tender and amazing and the mashed potatoes were so smooth and silky, and the steak was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was just to die for and the mushrooms were extravagant, even though I don't like mushrooms much. It was a life-changing food experience and I'll be back again and again

What a great restaurant. Perfect setting on the riverfront and elegantly decorated. Service was top notch! Everything we ordered tasted amazing. Definitely order the rissoto, chicken lorange, cheese platter, and the desserts!

Fresh take on high end traditional French fare. The scallop Wellington is the standout and signature dish. The caviar is done with model bakery muffins which were really good vessels. The risotto was great and the parpadelle was okay. Lychee martini was fantastic. The patio is completely shaded in the evening. Would come back!

3.5 STARS IF I was rating Normandie's martini bar and picturesque patio overlooking Napa's historic riverfront...5 stars. No notes. But, we're not on a liquid diet. We're here to eat! Opening in March 2026, Normandie took over Entrecot (Argentinian resto). Glad the owners were able to get a full liquor license as the low abv cocktails weren't cutting it at the previous resto. Rezzies are highly recommended on the weekends. I had noted on OpenTable we were celebrating a birthday but there was no acknowledgement. D R I N K S * Normandie Martini w/ sage-butter washed Grey Goose vodka, dry vermouth ($20 x2): https://tinyurl.com/4h4yceu8 Excellent martini, the fat washing of the GG completely mellowed the harsh rubbing alcohol profile and created a velvety mouthfeel with a savory earthy flavor and hint of sweetness from the vermouth. F O O D * Complimentary Bread & Butter Warm, crusty bread served with an herbaceous rose shaped butter. * Maine Lobster Bisque w/ leek & shallot flan, cognac cream ($18): https://tinyurl.com/h7wj9n7e Very tomato forward, it tasted more like a tomato bisque than a lobster bisque. The flan was missing. * Diver Scallop Wellington w/ black truffle emulsion, spinach fondue ($25): https://tinyurl.com/2nrnh62m Standout dish of the night - the scallop was perfectly cooked, silky smooth and moist encased in a deliciously buttery and flaky pastry crust. The touch of black truffle was fragrant and added a kiss of earthy umami. * Herb Crusted Lamb Rack w/ pea purée, tomato confit, baby carrots, garlic jus ($48): https://tinyurl.com/murv36pk - Requested medium rare Beautiful presentation but missed the mark. The lamb chops were overdone and dry. I know French seasoning leans more subtle and I prefer my food lightly salted but the lamb chops were straight bland. * Beef Wellington: 7 oz Filet Mignon w/ porcini crust, pommes aligot, shallot, veggies ($60): https://tinyurl.com/yzkvsst7 - Default: Medium rare only Gordon Ramsay would have had a crash out - the filet was overdone, dry, and flavorless. The seasonal veggies were cooked well, retaining a crisp but the pommes aligot (cheesy mashed potatoes) was just plain pomme purée, no cheesy flavor or elasticity/cheese pull. We decided to skip dessert. S E R V I C E Our server was friendly but spread way too thin. Not his fault but we had to flag him down for things. Food service was snail paced with entrees taking over an hour. A M B I A N C E Parisian inspired dining room with trendy, sophisticated touches like crystal ring chandeliers. The patio overlooks the scenic riverfront. Even in 80+ degree weather, it was comfortable and shaded from the building. P A R K I N G While there's a parking garage across the street, it's small so we had to circle through it several times before we found a space. Overall, Normandie has a strong cocktail program and awesome views from the patio. Coming from the city where there's a significant amount of French bistros/brasserie/restos, my expectations were probably too high, as I found the food somewhat underwhelming. Considering there are very few French restos in Napa, rounding up to 4 stars.

Lobster dish, very different from what lobster usually is, but absolutely delicious!

This restaurant is amazing! I was there already twice in the last three weeks first time for my son's birthday and second with my daughter and her boyfriend who were visiting from New York. We drove an hour to Napa just to eat here. Everything about Normandie is top notch: Delicious and beautifully presented food, Very attentive, friendly and professional service (our server Ali and his team were wonderful), Very pleasant ambiance, outside patio has a beautiful view of the river. Can't wait to return and would highly recommend to anyone who is interested in fine dining that is reasonably priced.

Beef Wellington. Nice presentation but, NO pink - was well done.

Normandie Napa offers a upscale swanky interior, a great bar with a fabulous martini menu, cool riverside promenade tables with excellent people watching, great service, and good food. The delicious appetizers (Warm Goat Cheese Souffle, Heirloom Tomato and Burrata, and Beet Salad) were the biggest hits. The Wild Boar was very good, the special fish and mashed potatoes with ratatouille was dry and the Beef Wellington that is advertised as "Chef's preparation Medium Rare Only" was WELL DONE. Ugh. Not what we expected at this price point. Bonus points for fantastic service and lovely French music.

    Normandie martini and Bijou cocktail
    Matthew G.

All-around, this was an excellent restaurant experience. The food was fantastic, cocktails were great, and service was good. The goat cheese souffle was more like a soup with a biscuit on top rather than souffle, but was quite tasty. The saffron seafood pappardalle hearty and had plenty of great ingredients (freshly made pasta, mussels, prawns, salmon, and even sea scallops) and the "loup de mer" Mediterranean sea bass over red peppers and eggplant was also quite good. All three cocktails we ordered at our table were well-crafted, but the Bijou I ordered was a standout.

Beautiful restaurant with a patio and a waterfront view. Appetizing French menu and friendly service. A few items docked this down for us: - Nearly all tables outside were empty at the time of our reservation, and despite specifying an occasion in the booking, we were seated in the back with no view aside a busy door. However, they happily moved us upon request. - The food was not up to par with the pricing / ambiance. The lobster was much smaller than anticipated, and the vegetables on the side were very cold. Our other menu items were good, but not great. Overall enjoyable, but not likely to return as there are many other nice restaurants nearby.

Sergio is an amazing asset to the team of Normandie. He provided outstanding service and his attention to details is impeccable!!! May I say his martinis were incredible as well. I popped in to check out this new hot spot downtown Napa and was impressed with the cuisine and the beverage selections. Will definitely return with friends on my next visit Bravo Notmandie!!!

I don't write restaurant reviews very often because, honestly, it takes a lot for me to feel compelled to tell people they need to go somewhere. Normandie is one of those places. Whenever we try a new restaurant, I usually expect there to be one or two dishes that are just okay. That's normal. Especially for a newer restaurant, there's usually something that misses the mark. That never happened. Every single course was exceptional. The Scallop Wellington was beautifully balanced. The risotto was rich without feeling heavy. The Beef Wellington absolutely lived up to the hype. Dessert somehow managed to end the evening on an even higher note, especially paired with the Salted Caramel Martini they surprised us with. One of my favorite moments actually came from a mistake. We ordered a Vesper Martini but were served their Black Pepper Martini instead. Rather than simply replacing it, they brought us the Vesper as well, split both cocktails between us, and invited us to enjoy both. It was such a thoughtful way to handle it that what could have been an inconvenience became one of the highlights of the evening. As incredible as the food was, the service is what set Normandie apart. Maggie was exceptional. She carried herself with a quiet confidence that immediately put us at ease. Every movement felt intentional. She made genuine eye contact, anticipated what we needed before we asked, and knew exactly when to step in and when to simply let us enjoy the moment. Nothing about her service felt rehearsed or transactional. She wasn't there to take our order--she was there to create an experience, and she did it effortlessly. When she shared that she'd worked alongside Thomas Keller, it wasn't surprising. It explained everything. You can tell Maggie and Koray have poured themselves into this restaurant. Every detail felt considered without ever feeling forced. It's refined without being pretentious, polished without feeling stiff, and welcoming in a way that's increasingly hard to find. We've been fortunate enough to dine at Michelin-starred restaurants and Michelin Guide restaurants, and while comparisons only go so far, Normandie belongs in that conversation. It has the same level of intention, craftsmanship, and hospitality that makes a meal memorable long after you've left the table. We left talking about when we'd come back--not if. Normandie has officially become our favorite French-inspired restaurant in Napa, and I have no doubt we'll be regulars.

First time trying this restaurant and I have no complaints. It was delicious especially the seafood pasta and the salted caramel Martini. So delicious! The service was on point as well as soon as we walked in without an appointment we were acknowledged and got seated. Small place inside but they have nice outdoor sittings as well with the waterfront view. Ill be back!

It was good, but nothing too memorable, and we didn't care much for the extra sides like the mustard and pickled veggies. The duck confit was solid, though I think it would have been even better with more of a carb element, like mashed potatoes, parsnips, or polenta, plus a little extra sauce. The agnolotti was my absolute favorite. The handmade pasta was stuffed with ricotta and paired with savory wild mushrooms. It was rich, cozy, and incredibly flavorful--completely up my alley.

It's also a nice way to experience a Michelin one-star restaurant without committing to a full dinner. The biggest highlight here is really the view. If possible, try to reserve a seat on the outdoor terrace. From there you get a direct panoramic view over Napa Valley. On a nice day, sitting outside with the sun, vineyards, and rolling hills in front of you feels incredibly relaxing. Even just slowly enjoying lunch while looking out over the valley already makes the experience worthwhile. As for the food, it's very much in line with what you'd expect from a Michelin one-star restaurant. The presentation is elegant and the flavors are refined. It's not heavy or overly bold; instead, the dishes focus more on balance and highlighting the quality of the ingredients. Nothing felt overly flashy, but the execution across the board was very solid and well thought out. The lunch prix fixe is especially worth considering. Compared to dinner, the price is much more reasonable while still giving you a good sense of the restaurant's cooking style and overall quality. If you're already planning a trip to Napa Valley, stopping here for lunch can make the whole outing feel a bit more special. Service was also excellent--professional but not overly formal. The pacing of the meal felt comfortable, never rushed but also not slow. Overall, this place is really about the combination of food and scenery. The dishes alone might not be the most mind-blowing in Napa, but when you add the terrace view overlooking the valley, the whole experience becomes memorable. If you want a relaxed way to try a Michelin one-star restaurant without the full dinner price tag, lunch here is a great option.
