The place…read moreI used to go to (Normandy Optical) has really gone downhill the past few visits, so I decided to take my business elsewhere. I found this through the insurance that I currently have and would receive a free exam through them. They do sell frames here, but I'm going to get them somewhere else for a few different reasons. I called ahead to make sure they would work with my current insurance and they were able to find me in the system. I booked an appointment and was able to be seen within a few days of my phone call. Anyway, I walked in and the staff at the desk here was super friendly and helpful. I informed them of what I was there for and they checked me in and answered all my questions. Ok, so here's where I docked a star. If your running a doctors office, and you accept insurance, please don't ask me what I have covered "in my plan." I know there's lots of different insurance companies with different forms of coverage, but it's vision, and usually the coverage's fairly standard across the board regardless of who's paying (the insurance company, not the person.) I spent the time to educate myself on what I get through this specific coverage, so I knew what I was walking into. Free eye exam, 20% discount on progressive bifocals, etc. Even though I absolutely love the staff here, nobody seemed to know about coverage. Fortunately, I did. So, even though I had considered purchasing frames and the lenses from this specific location, it wasn't financially feasible for me at this time. The doctor here is fabulous, very professional and efficient. I was in and out in no time and have a prescription to get new glasses so I can see again. I would come back here in a heartbeat as this office is well run, efficient and the staff here is really one of a kind. Dr. Weingarden really knows his stuff and wasted no time and did a fabulous job. I can't brag enough about how wonderful and helpful the staff is, and I will gladly return in the future. Receptionist, initial screening employee, eye doctor, and sales person were all very friendly and professional. The entire process was extremely efficient. When I brought up to the sales employee that there were several options online that were more affordable, she immediately price matched without any trouble. I've been going here for over 3 years now and have never had an issue.

About 3 months after I purchased them they were all scratched up and foggy. This has never happened before in 35 years of wearing glasses. I went to store to see what they could do for me. I was treated rudely by person helping me and she told me it would that there was no warranty, and it was my fault that they are scratched and foggy. They want me to pay $75.00 to replace glasses. Since they are twins, you might not know which brother is helping you, but it doesn't matter. They are equally knowledgeable and skilled. They started in this profession at a young age. They grew up watching and assisting their father, who founded the business. The owners and staff are outgoing and friendly. They are genuinely nice people, too. During my many trips to try on frames, I witnessed them both independently assist customers who stumbled in with concerns about their frames that they purchased elsewhere. Regardless of which location you choose the outcome will be the same. They both offer a great selection of frames at great prices. The service is first-rate.

After my appointment, it took almost 8 full weeks to receive my glasses, and I only ever got an update if I incessantly called. I was told over and over once I finally got my glasses how they would "take care of me". First it was a free pair of sunglasses already being worked on, then it became "the next time you come in" (you know, because we all go to the optometrist fourteen times a year). I'd finally decided they just weren't for me and called to get my prescription. Stephanie told me on the phone she could email it over. Guess what, she still didn't 24 hours later. Absolute worst experience ever and I will not be returning, even for the "free pair" of sunglasses I probably wouldn't ever see.
