Ok so I'm not sure where to begin! The whole experience was a friggin nightmare! Visited Norris for an estimate on my 2020 Challenger (as well as other body shops) that sustained front end damage in a minor collision. Based on recommendations I chose Norris (Big Mistake). I was told by Franny (she did the estimate) to drop off my car off before the 4th of July weekend which would give them time to order parts ect and I would have my car back the following Thursday (July 9th). When I dropped of my car I stressed that it was brand spanking new (2200 miles) and I expected it to be like it came from the factory when I picked it up. I was assured it would be perfect (not so). Mid morning on July 9th (the date I was told my car would be ready) I received a call from Franny stating that there was a problem with the paint on the front bumper and I'd have to pick it up the following day (it needed to be repainted). The following day Friday July 10th I received a call from Paul ( the accountant who was directed by Franny to call me) I was told by Paul that my car was ready to be picked up. When I arrived my car was parked out front and it was immediately noticeable not only by me, but the person who took me to pick up my car (also a Challenger owner) that the hood lines and the bumper lines were way off. Not only that but the hood height didn't match the height of the fender, the hood was scratched, bumper paint STILL wasn't right and when they clear coated the fender they stopped about 3 inches above the rocker panel. Oh yeah, there was a nice gouge in the fender flare (not caused by the accident)I obviously did not take the car in that condition, was told they'd immediately begin to fix everything I'd pointed out and it would be ready on Monday (July 13th) It wasn't until about 4:10 pm (on Monday) that I received a call from Paul (not Franny or the owner or someone in authority) stating there was yet another issue with rivets that had to be ordered and it might be ready the following day (Tuesday July 14th) but not to worry because the owner was going to personally inspect my car to be sure everything was done right this time. As of 11:30 on Tuesday I hadn't heard anything from Norris so I drove by the shop to inquire what the status of my car was. When I arrived my car was parked out front so I began inspecting the areas that were supposed to be fixed, as I was doing so an older gentleman came out and introduced himself as Ron the owner of the shop. As we began to go over the car Ron went on to say that most of the issues I noticed were factory defects!!!! WHAT!?!? HE DID NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING!!!! Not only that but the gouge in the fender flare still needed to be corrected. I again left my car there and returned a few hours later. At his point I was totally frustrated, yes the issues were addressed but my engine compartment was filthy from shop dust, water ect and the drivers side floor mat was filthy as well. Obviously they pay no attention to detail!! I went into the office to settle the bill and was offered no compensation for my inconvenience, the owner never came out of his office and Franny who was sitting at the desk next to Paul had nothing to say either! This shop is a total joke, don't know how they stay in business I'll never go back nor will I refer them to anyone. read more

ALL the interior panels of our Nissan Xterra were destroyed by a bear. It was a mess. Norris brought it back to pristine condition, when other auto body shops wouldn't touch it--and at under the insurance payout. Russ, Ron, and all the other staff were friendly and capable. I'm not looking forward to another insurance claim, but I know where I would take the car. read more

I went for an estimate to have some minor body work taken care of- well the woman came out of the office to do the estimate and asked me if I'd like to have my hood painted because of some chipping from pebbles bouncing off the road, (wind damage) common for driving in the sierras- well as soon as I said you might as well give me a price she and the owner came out and estimated the cost to be $11,000.00! Surprisingly the insurance company approved the estimate and I scheduled for the work to be done. As an example of how inept Norris's is they charged $379.00 for each new headlight when in fact they used ALL USED PARTS- the 2 headlights lenses had a Smokey film on the inside of the lamp and one stayed on the high beam and the other would not go to the high beam setting- also orange peel and lines through the paint- after more than 4 months they replaced the headlights but did absolutely nothing to correct the paint- I wouldn't let them work on a bicycle - they charge for work not completed and for inferior used parts when they charged the insurance for new parts read more

Good company. Got into an accident and allstate sent me over to them to have my car fixed. They did a fantastic job on my car but there were some things communication wise I was far from impressed with. #1 During the time they had my car I was the one to keep calling them asking for updates, they never reac ed out to me until the car was done. And #2 They had originally gave me an estimated time of 9 days to fix the car. When I called a week later (5days) they then said 11 MORE days. They didn't even call to inform me. We heavily damaged our Audi's front end. It was not driveable so was towed to Norris. Two weeks later, as promised and for the estimated cost, the car was done. It looked great and drove perfectly. I've read the other reviews of Norris Autobody and I simply can't believe what folks are saying. Over the past two years, I have had work done at this place two times now and have been exceptionally pleased with the quality of work as well as their customer relations. Both repairs I've had done were completed on-time as promised. The pricing of the repairs were comparable to my other estimates. My insurance company recommended them for both repairs. If I need auto body work done again, I will use them without question. read more

I recently backed my car into a cement column in a parking lot and was very upset to see I had made a huge dent in the left side of the car and a large amount of the paint was scraped off! I took the car to Norris Autobody and they took the dent out and fixed the paint perfectly. It actually looks better now than before the dent happened! I took my car in on a Monday. Was told the work would take 9 days. I was gone for 2 weeks (14 work days) and when I got back, it still wasn't ready. Had to wait until the end of the next day to get the car. They knew I was going to be gone so, I guess just didn't do the work. The bill came to my deductible over the original estimate. I have been using Norris for several years now and will NOT take my repairs anywhere else even fixed my Mercedes. They do an excellent repair job and are honest I never had a problem dealing with them. I 100% recomand them. I took my Subaru in for minor repairs fixed it the same day. read more

I did not take my car here, but had an estimate done. They were 4 stars friendly, but when I asked for an estimate, he struggled to get me one and I felt like I was twisting his arm where 5 other shops had no problem with it. The guy wanted my insurance agents estimate first, and I told him I wanted his opinion before I showed him. He wanted to charge (estimated) 50% more than 5 other shops. All the other shops were only about 59.00 off from each other. That was fishy to me. read more

I was in a bad vehicle accident back in December 2015. My worthless insurance company will not settle nor do they care and have made me home bound for the last 5 months. I was told to call a company Norris Auto Body in Gardnerville Nevada 89410. I was told that they are a exceptional shop in my area an if anybody could fix my vehicle they could. Well I placed a call to Norris Auto Body and spoke to a gentleman named Lynn. He said he would come out to were my vehicle is located and give me an estimate and let me know what it would take to repair my vehicle. This was two months ago. Again some people I was speaking to told me to call Norris Auto body and give them another chance. Well today I called and spoke with Lynn and this time he was very rude to me and basically told me to screw off he wants nothing to do with me and hung up on me. I told him I was going to pay for my repairs and that my insurance was not involved and when I said that he just became a complete rude ass to me. I would not and I will make every effort that everybody in Gardnerville and the surrounding area knows not to take their vehicles to Norris Auto Body, unless they would like to be treated like crap and possibly have their vehicle not done right unless your insurance is involved. By far the worst body shop and experience I have ever had with a body shop. They wouldn't give me an estimate, asked for the insurance estimate. Dropped off car and it sat for two days until they started to work on it. Then they charged me for things that they clearly did not paint. Manager of shop said that they couldn't paint as good of quality as a factory paint job. Any body shop should be able to paint at a level far superior to a factory paint job. I have painted three cars myself and have a knowledge of paint. This shop plain and simple SUCKS. They also had an illegal deal with tow companies to have vehicles dropped off at there shop after an accident. Don't even bother going to this shop. read more
