This place is a lemon grove. They sold me a lemon focus and I've had them do warranty work 10 times on my transmission and it is still faulty. My car has been out of service for 2 months since I bought it and they don't offer me a rental car even though my car is constantly in the shop having warranty work done on it. My car fails the "shudder test" every time I bring it in and Ford has done nothing to try and fix it. North county ford already knew that the car had inborn defects in the transmission and they sold it to me without disclosing that information. I have tried to initiate a lemon law buyback and Ford told me to wait 30 days. Here I am 3 months later and I haven't heard a peep out of Ford. The people in north county Ford's service department are rude and have no ability to fix a transmission. Don't buy a car here and DEFINITELY don't get your car serviced here. read more

This has definitely been one of my worst experiences ever buying a car. The only reason I bought a car is because I was in a head on collision in which totaled my Lexus. I have been back to the service department at least six times for the same issue. The issue should have been taken care of within the first 30 days but now since it was not taken care of in the first 30 days I have to pay a deductible to fix something that was wrong when I bought the car. I was told that this car is extremely reliable it is the same model that the police shoes and the safety of it has a very good rating and fortunately the people here at North County Ford are not the best... I have been trying to fix my car since May and now it is almost September and still driving around with a loud noise coming from under the hood. I am extremely upset with these people and the way they do business I do not suggest by any means that you come here and buy a vehicle. read more

If I could rate this place it would be zero stars . We got a car from here and 2 months later it was having issues. We called first before taking it in and the person who we spoke to said they can check it . Once we got there one of the guys in the front desk denied us right away didn't even let us tell him the problem (he sat at the end close to the bathrooms )and hardly made eye contact with us and told us to go somewhere else because they didn't specialize one that model . He was so INCONSIDERATE and RACIST he was very attentive to the person in front of us who was white and once we were next his whole attitude changed even had a bitter look as well as another guy who sat next to him jumped in our conversation ( very unprofessional ) . We brought up the 3 month warranty and they said they still couldn't do anything because they don't have people who know that model. How does a company like this not have people that specialize in all types of cars??? with all the money they make you think they can hire people to specialize IN VEHICLES THEY SELL!! Thank god we found another auto shop who was incredibly helpful who heard us out and right away he even said that ford just shrugged us off when we told him our experience.Save your money and go to small business instead and support them stay way from this place ! My name is Robert. We bought a Ford Fusion EcoBoost from the North County Ford it was brand new had some issues as far as recalls are concerned but nothing to be too concerned about until Christmas Eve 2017 My Wife and Kids we're in the car and it caught on fire luckily they were able to get out of the car in time before the windows and the door locks locked for good. We researched recalls on the vehicle after this happened we happened to find our way to this website called unknown recalls. Com and we found out that are Ford Fusion EcoBoost had a recall on it which we never received a letter from Ford about. This recall said that win the coolant level is very low a sensor should come on warning the driver unfortunately the sensor did not warn my wife so what happens next is it cracks the Block in the engine and that starts a fire in the engine compartment which actually messed with the electrical system and that's what lock the doors and roll the windows up luckily my family escaped. So I brought this matter up to Ford North County Ford and they were not sympathetic at all they treated me like a regular customer they did not care too much about my circumstance with the Ford Fusion fire they just continued to try to sell another car I recommend that anybody in the market for a car do not go to North County Ford because customer service may look like it's good but on the inside it's just like any Shady car lot. read more

I went there to check a 2017 Ford F150 with 13k miles, I was ready to buy and drive it but i noticed a few things were broken on the truck. It had a broken bed-liner or it wasn't installed correctly, a door lock pin missing and the worst of all a broken center console door and the interior was dirty. I thought I was going to buy a truck from a FORD DEALERSHIP not a independent lot. The sales person said they will not fix what was broken fix, they said truck was as-is. I took my car that is less than a year old here to do basic maintenance. Starting immediately afterward I had a problem where my car kept alerting for things that weren't there. For example, the passenger seat belt warning would go off every drive no matter what. I took it in for them to fix whatever had gotten broken. They refused to even look at the car. Said I could leave it there for weeks until they could look at it and rent a car at my expense. I just wanted them to fix what they broke in the first place. read more

1 star was the lowest I could go...they don't deserve that. Long story short...I had difficulty initially it was a little bit of them and a little bit of me. But then I get a letter in the mail that said "Notice to rescind." Rescission is the mutual agreement between the partied to an agreement or contract, deciding to nullify, cancel or otherwise terminate the agreement entered among them and restore the position prior to that agreement. I got legal advice and was told that the letter was a mutually binding agreement that said I had to give the car back. When I got there to turn the car in I was informed that the letter goes out automatically at 10 days and there was no problem. So basically, if you buy a car from North County Ford expect for them to send you another contract in the mail telling you to give the car back. I was so done with this dealership that I decided to abide by the mutual agreement and try my luck at another dealership. Carmax Escondido will get my business. read more

Went to buy new F150 1121/15 Salesperson was fine. The low balling trade-in manager was cheat. Kelly Blue Book, Edmunds, CarMax, NADA, were all fair in there quotes. That greedy manager, never talked to me in person. Sure he knew would told him what I thought. They lost trade-in that they would of made 3,000 - 4,000 on, plus I was buying 2015 F150, would made money on that deal. Thanks to low baller, told salesperson I would buy 2015 from another Ford Dealership. Every chance I get will tell everyone what a low baller on trade-ins, go to another Dealership, have happy experience not dealing with manager that is greedy and wants to make bigger bonus for him, cheating you on your trade-in. Also send all your complaints to Ford Motor Company Headquarters, they take all complaints seriously. Its bad mark against North County Ford. I recently leased a 2016 Ford Escape, it was my first experience working with a dealership, so naturally I was pretty nervous and apprehensive. Alex was extremely patient with myself and did everything in his power to assure I was getting the best deal available. In fact, 2 weeks after signing the lease and driving off with the car, he just called myself and informed me that they were able to lower my monthly lease amount even further. Pretty unreal. We had the very BEST car buying experience with Abe (Abraham) and Bernardo at North County Ford! I had been helping my husband find a truck; we knew exactly what we were looking for and what we were willing to pay. I called and spoke with Abe about a used F-150 that I had seen on their website, and I was very straight forward about what we needed. Abe was kind, supportive, and helpful guiding us in buying the car that fit our wants and needs. After many other dealerships tried to push us into something new or sell us on something that we did not want Abe's support and commitment to get us into something that was used that we were happy with was so refreshing. Abe was honest and upfront throughout our entire sales experience; most of which was held over the phone which was so nice and convenient. Once details were sorted out over the phone Abe had paper work all set up for us and all we had to do was come down and test drive it; if we liked it sign and we were set. Abe had everything set up for us to meet with Bernardo who was kind and helpful; showing us all the features of the truck and getting our Bluetooth all set before we hit the road. This has been one of the worst car buying experience I have ever received. Bought a used car from North County Ford. Their customer service goes beyond what anyone could receive! Week after I bought our Vibe the battery went out, two week the breaks needed to be replaced, week later the inside of the front tires were severely and dangerously worn and we replaced those. We purchased a LoJack and it was supposed to be installed two weeks after purchase. Never got a call and they chewed us out for asking to have it installed as they said they would call us. Have made 23 calls and four visits and still no results. Please be careful as they will jump through hoops to sell you a car but anything after that goes beyond pathetic! Since we have not received a call back the past 5 calls we have decided to go to small claims court and we contacted the BBB. I wish I could this place negative stars. Im updating my first review because im that p*ssed. I have been leaving messages with this company for over a month now. Im not even kidding when i say Ive called 20 times to ask to speak to different people, including managers and no one will return the call. They took so long to get the vehicle financed because they promised such low financing terms that they couldnt get it financed for what they promised. After a month, they finally found a bank to take it for the terms I signed to. In the mean time, I had to make another payment to my bank for my old vehicle so I wouldnt get my credit dinged. The finance guy promised I'd get my money returned after the deal went through. 2 months later Im still waiting for my check. They won't return any of my calls or send the money they owe me. This place is a complete joke. Not only I have I wasted so much time calling about a check for a few hundred dollars. Now I have to take them to small claims to get the money owed to me. No one gives a crap about you once they get their money. They will say and do anything to get your business, then brush you off once they got what they wanted. Wow! I previously wrote a review for my salesperson who was great! Management has some real problems! I received an email reminding me to schedule my first service, it included a link to schedule online. I followed the link and was connected to Zach for live chat to arrange the service. Zach promised to call me by the end of that business day to schedule the service. A week passed and no call back from Zach. So I called and spoke with Tom who claimed to be the service manager. Tom was going to investigate and get back to me with a schedule. That was yesterday morning - still nothing from Tom! Even if they did call me now, I'd worry about taking the vehicle there for service. I'm probably "that customer"...we also purchased a vehicle there a couple of years ago that has been going to NCF for service. It looks like they are going to lose all of our future business to either Carlsbad or Escondido dealers. Too bad - how hard is it to schedule routine service? read more

We have a 2008 Ford F250 with a lot of problems. First of all, I would not recommend this truck. We brought the truck in the last time for service and indicated a problem we were having with a lack of power. The truck would not go over 40MPH. We turned the truck off and then the problem disappeared after turning back on again. We took in in to get fixed/diagnosed and they could not replicate and said that this was "normal". This has happened again quite a few times and now today I called to talk with a service representative. I can't get a live person in the service department to answer the phone all day long. I made one call to Ken Grody Ford in Carlsbad and was talking to a service representative in 30 seconds. I have made an appointment with them and will not be back to North County Ford in Vista!! read more

DON'T. GO. HERE. Seriously. Just... don't. I stopped in one day and asked to test drive a vehicle that I'd been interested in for a while. I had done quite a bit of research, so I went in prepared knowing what I wanted. The salesman was awful. I specified the make, model, color, everything that I wanted. He repeatedly tried to sell me into other options and I insisted that I knew what I wanted and to show it to me. We found it, I took it on a test drive, and came right back. He ran inside to grab a business card and instead came out with the "expert" salesman who supposedly knew "everything there is to know" about the car I was interested in. The guy was a joke. He had no idea which model I drove and repeatedly referred to it as something else even though we were all standing right next to it. Every time he tried to say something about the car, I immediately corrected him. And he was their specialist?? Give me a break. When Vista Ford called me a week later to follow up, I told them I purchased elsewhere and thanked them for their assistance. The following week, I received another call and I told them again that I was no longer interested because I now have my car. Since then (that was the end of December) I've received 3 more calls and 2 emails. To top it off, they started sending me text messages this morning to follow up. Don't waste your time with these guys. Take an extra 10 minutes and go to Ken Grody in Carlsbad if you're looking for a Ford and exceptional service. read more

This has been one of the best if not the best car buying experience I've ever had! Prior to reaching out to North County Ford, I made the mistake of going to CarMax and making an impulse decision to buy a car I hated. I made an online inquiry for a hybrid lease, just to see if it was even possible to trade it in and not lose too much after 30 days. Sergio emailed me immediately and I made an appointment for the following day. Before I went to North County Ford I went to another dealer who seemed more interested in getting a sale than taking the time to listen to my needs and made it almost awkward to leave without signing. The moment I walked in I felt comfortable and at ease. We spoke about my goals and where I wanted to be as far as payments go. Turns out, instead of leasing the Ford Fusion Hybrid, buying the 2019 Fusion Hybrid was a much better financial decision. I never even considered that! Once I signed and Sergio filled the tank and had it detailed he went through everything with me! Helped me with the cool Ford app, sync my phone to the car and show how to use me everything inside the car...which is a lot! I never felt like I was taking up too much time or anyone was trying to make a sale. Everything just felt right, I love my new car and after 2 full days of driving I still have a full tank of gas which blows my mind! Sergio and his team are the best!!! read more

Worst service department! Took my car in for an oil change, like normal and they apparently couldn't perform one. Then I get home and my car is leaking oil, which it hadn't been prior to me coming in. Bring it back to them and they claim it wasn't their problem. Then they keep my car for more than half the day only to want to give me a quote to a problem they created. Robert was a complete JERK, wasn't helpful and did everything I asked him not to do. I wouldn't buy a car there or take my car in AT ALL. Car Dealerships think they can just rip you off. Customer service is definitely not their main concern. They want to blame the owner of the car and upcharge whatever they want to make money. read more

I used the internet to get a quote, just to get a general idea of pricing for my 2014 budget. I instantly got 3 automatic emails and the next morning (Saturday), 2 more emails from Patrick. Right after the second email from Patrick, at 8:30 am, he called me. FYI, Patrick DON'T call anyone before 9 am on the weekend or after 9 pm any night, it's just RUDE. When I spoke to Patrick, I told him I wasn't in actual car buying mode, and advised him, please don't call me; I'll call you. That night I got an auto call from NCF, and I asked them not to call me. On Sunday morning, I got ANOTHER auto call, and I asked them not call me. Two hours later, Patrick called me again. Really???? I consider the treatment disrespectful, bordering on harassment, and a demonstration of really poor marketing, not to mention bad record-keeping. I bought my last Ford at Heller, and that's where I will buy my next one. Do yourself a favor, skip NCF and go see the Alex at Heller. read more

Went to these guys to take advantage of a promotion/pricing offer I had through a friend of the family who had worked at Ford. When I let the dealer know I was working through my credit union instead of their Financing arm, was told it would take quite a bit longer. Also had them try to run my credit and get credit information from me even though I let them know there was no need for their service. Only after I raised a stink and emailed a few managers did the buying process improve. Car has worked great for me, but I felt burned by the Financing person and definitely feel like the hard pressure tactic to engage their team wasn't an isolated incident. The amount of 1 star reviews and comments regarding high-pressure tactics lead me to think this attitude is coached into the team from the up above. Also had my Ford survey sent to a wrong address after the fact, which wouldn't have raised any eyebrows except for the questionable service. I would not go give them my business again and have gone out of my way to use other Service departments in spite of it's proximity to my old office. read more

In searching for a new car, NC Ford was one of the few dealerships around that had (supposedly) the vehicle I was looking for. I called them to find out when i could come in to see either of the 2 vehicles listed on their website as "in stock" to find out NONE were there. I was quoted a price and told the vehicles should be coming in in the 'next couple weeks'. 2 weeks later I call and deal with another salesman. One in stock. he "honored" the same. I drove to the dealer, to find out HE was bs'ing me too. As they had none. Try back 3 weeks later (today) and speak to a female salesman. Mind you they have 4 of the car listed in stock. She says they have one but cannot get anywhere near that price. In explaining to her my quotes which I have proof of, she continuously interrupts me and talks over me. This dealer is garbage and lacks the ability for communication, along with their cheesy sales tactic of quoting low and not even having the car. Take your business elsewhere. read more

I bought a Mustang convertible with 14k miles on it for about $18k (sticker price) in April 2017. I had test driven the same car with $24k miles on it at a Chevy dealer in Carlsbad before I found this one and I thought NC Ford would deal fairly with me. I bought the car at the sticker price without negotiating a lower price. In retrospect, I was fool for buying the car so quickly and not forcing North County Ford to take care of the issues with the car before the purchase; I see that now. However, I expected a Ford dealer to stand behind a Ford product and to have some minimal level of integrity and standard of basic fairness towards a customer; especially one spending $26k with taxes, licensing, warranty, etc. for a car. That was not the case with North County Ford. They have never apologized or offered to compensate me in any way for any of this. Here is a summary of the problems: First, the only thing they did to the car before putting it on the lot with a sticker in the window was do an oil and air filter change and give it a quick wash. I noticed about a half dozen things wrong with the car that I felt they should address. They agreed take care of some of the problems with the car, but not all. They made me pay for the most expensive part, a center console piece that they sell for over $500. I bought one on ebay for $200 that was just fine. Over the course of two months, my wife and I had to go back three times,hassling with picking up and dropping off a rental car each time, even having to pay for it one of these times, just to have them tell us they didn't have the right parts and to come back again. Eventually, they said they had done enough and refused to fix a broken piece of door handle trim on the interior of the car, the last outstanding issue, other than the warranty (see below). They acted like they were doing me a favor, just to wash the filth out of the compartment that the top retracts into and repair basic items that were unacceptable for a car with $14k miles on it. When I tried to escalate my dissatisfaction about this, the general manager, Matt Hoye, refused to even discuss this with me on the phone.. He sent me an email about two weeks after I asked to speak with him basically telling me to pound sand. I called Ford's corporate "customer relations" dept.and they did nothing, just referring me right back to the dealer I had the problem with. Ford said they are "not responsible for their dealers.". Additionally, I was sold an extended warranty that I found out later is called a "portfolio" or 3rd party warranty, rather than a Ford warranty. I ended up canceling North County Ford's $3500+ sub par warranty (according to another Ford dealer) and purchasing the proper extended care Ford warranty through Ken Grody Ford for about $2800...$700 less. I asked KG Ford why a Ford dealer would do this...i.e. not sell a Ford warranty when they are a Ford dealer. They answer: to make more money. Of course. I actually had to pay for an inspection ($150) at Ken Grody Ford because the car passed over the 36 month date from manufacture while all this was going on. Of course, North County Ford never bothered to mention it as they were trying to make a buck of me selling me the inferior warranty. They also forgot to deal with closing out the car rental they provided so I got calls from Hertz "car recovery" dept. in Oklahoma for several days and they charged my credit card for the car each day until I got that resolved with NC Ford. Another hassle. After the treatment I have received from North County Ford and seeing that Ford as a company does not stand behind their products or take responsibility for their dealers, Rather than take a long term view and looking at repeat business from a customer, they take a short term view: spend as little as possible, sell a rip-off warranty, etc. I would never buy another product from Ford and certainly would never deal with North County Ford. read more

On October 26, 2016 I was traveling from northern California to southern California (Vista) to visit family. The steering on my Ford Edge started feeling wobbly on the way down south. I called North County Ford in Vista and spoke to Donna when i arrived at my families. Donna told me they could work me in the following day ( october 27 ) at 3:30. I was happy to be worked in. When I had not heard from anyone from North County Ford by 10 AM the following morning ( October 28 ) I called to check the status of the diagnosis on my vehicle. Donna informed me that I had metal showing through both my back tires and they could not test drive my vehicle because it was unsafe. Donna told me she thought my tires were the cause of the wobbling of my vehicle but again, could not test drive the vehicle as it was unsafe to drive. I agreed to buy two new back tires. Later that day ( October 28 at approximately 3pm ) after numerous calls which were not returned, Donna finally calls me and tells me that my vehicle was fixed. No more wobbling and the problem was indeed the back tires. I was so happy that the problem was solved. I had my sister and niece take me to pick up my vehicle. I told Donna that I was going to test drive my vehicle because I was scheduled to head home ( 460 miles ) the following morning and to look for the 5 star review I was planning on posting on Yelp. I drive onto the freeway, great, nice and smooth. I'm relieved that I'll feel safe driving home. Then I get off on the exit, brake and my whole car starts to shake violently. WTH... I go back to North County Ford and tell Donna what had happened. Donna tells me they had test drove my vehicle and didn't notice anything unusual. At this point I'm very worried because I had to drive home the following morning and my car shakes terribly when I use the breaks. Donna assures me they had test drove my vehicle and found nothing wrong with it. After insisting that someone reevaluate the job done on my car, Donna agrees to had the "tech" do an inspection on my car. My vehicle is pulled back into the back and I can see them lift it up and appear to be inspecting it. As I'm talking with my sister and niece, there goes my car. Someone was test driving it. Finally. The guy comes back with my car and Donna comes out to talk to me. Donna says the man that test drove my car agrees that there is a "mild vibration " Are you kidding me... my vehicle felt like it was going to comelpetely shake apart when the brakes were applied. I ask Donna to go on a test drive with me so she can see how bad my car shakes when the brakes are applied. Donna refuses. Donna tells me that she will not go for a test drive with me. I then ask for the manager or the technician test drive my vehicle with me. Donna tells me that there is not a manager on at that time and the technician can not go for a test drive with me either. At this time I am very concerned because I have got to drive all the way home in a car that I feel is unsafe and if they do find what the priblem is, I really do not want anyone at North County Ford working on my car. I do not trust them. Now I have got to admit, I'm getting a little loud at this point. North County Ford has had my car for two days and won't even help me figure out what's going on with my vehicle. I feel trapped. Then a man comes out of the office and asked what the problem was? I told him that my vehicle is having a completely different problem now than when I initially brought it in and I've got to drive over 400 miles home the following morning and Donna will not test drive my vehicle with me or even get me someone that can help me. This man's name is Jeremy. Jeremy says he will test drive my vehicle with me. This is all I was asking for. Anyway, Jeremy goes for a short drive with me and immediately felt the vibration with braking and tells me what he thought the problem was. Great!!! This was so reassuring that there are still people out there that still value the customer and take the " few minutes " to show me, the customer. Of coarse it is to late for North County Ford to do the repair and honestly I didn't trust them to work on my vehicle again. I took my vehicle to Express Tire Auto Service Center. The staff there stayed late and did a beautiful job with the repair and I was able to drive home feeling safe. I will not ever take my vehicle to North County Ford and wouldn't recommend North County Ford to anyone. Horrible experience, starting from sales to service department, incompetent people, what a waste of time. We wanted to purchase a new car and give our expedition as a trade in. We took our SUV to get fixed there and immediately even before they checked it they said it needed a new transmission. I was very skeptical since they didn't even checked the vehicle, so it was a red flag there. RC told us they will give us 500 if we wanted to trade it in, and we said no, then we decided to get an estimate to fix it. At the same time all this was going on Jack was the ONLY person that went out of his way to help us out, offered a world class customer service, stayed late to guide us, and he wasn't even our sales representative by the way. RC our sales guy decided to go home early as well as the finance manager and left everything for another day. I guess closing a deal wasn't a priority it was barely 6pm on a weekend. Well next day came buy, no one called us, so we called RC and he hanged up the phone twice on us. I guess he was convinced there was no deal, then when we tried to call around 1pm, and finally got in touch with the finance manager around 2 o'clock he told us there was no deal. The reason being was because there were some discrepancies with the social security number, so we had them read back the social to us... and they wrote it wrong. We were back and forth for about 4 days and i decided to go to Ken Grody Ford in Carlsbad and they helped us immediately and we got a brand new car same day. And by the way after a week we left our SUV in the service department we went back to check it, they didn't do anything to the car, no estimate, they left my windows down, the SUV was very dusty and even had a flat tire. We asked for the key to take it with us, but the service manager said he will have an estimate that afternoon (7days later) so we said no. We were not interested in doing business with them... Sit back and relax, I've got some tales to tell. Here are the major reasons I will never go to this dealership for service (but first I'd like to touch upon the pleasantries of purchasing my car here). I love me some new car smell... I did my research and called around so I knew what I wanted, needed, and the price I was going to pay- this Ford dealership was a touch higher than the others, but considering I didn't have to drive far to buy my new sweet van, I felt it was worth it. The transaction was seamless and they threw in several "free" oil changes (I worked with the fleet manager at the time, wish I could remember his name). The sales end was pretty great. The "Service" department is the reason for my leavin'... Appointments- Great in theory, terrible in practice. You can show up on time, but they don't care. They'll handle it when they get around to it. Efficiency is a four letter word- it'll take you twice to learn this (the first time you think it's a fluke so you give it another shot and then you learn). You can spend all day there waiting for a fix that should take an hour or two (ex: oil change) OR you can drop it off and experience... The Shuttle Service- I left work early and took PTO so I could sit curbside and wait for the shuttle driver to be late. He called me for directions to my well known, been there for decades location, even though I had no clue where he was. This was a struggle to guide him as he also had no idea where in the city he was - pretty stoked I used PTO to be his personal GPS (they don't have GPS? nobody to call at dealership to help you out? this was scheduled, couldn't bother to do a little research on your route before you head out?) Staff- I was shocked that nobody could assist the shuttle driver, 75% of the time I've pulled up to the service lanes, there are several men in uniform hanging out (not the suits who check you in). It reminded me of Walmart, where the neck tattoo employees hang out front and smoke. None of these guys smoke out front (or had neck tattoos), but it's just as "welcoming". Especially for a lone gal pulling up. I'm guessing this is why they have a problem with efficiency. Quality of Work- husband took my sweet van in for a free oil change and asked 'em to switch out the tail light while it was in the garage (paid of course). They took HOURS to complete this simple task and when he verified the tail light was fixed (like he paid for), he was assured it was. Oopsie- turns out it wasn't! Had to take it back in to get it done. There goes another couple HOURS... Ethics- I always felt like there was a bit of upsell but had nothing concrete to justify these feelings. I always took my car somewhere else for the major work, but those damn free oil changes collided with a packed schedule and I had a 60K service performed there. They said I needed new brakes, immediately. I didn't have time to get 'em done (packed schedule) and I've always been a fan of waiting until they start screeching (I like to get my full value). I took my bad ass van to my regular guys for an oil change and the brakes 4 months later (still no sounds of screeching), and they measured 'em and said I didn't need them. I questioned them, asserting that certainly couldn't be the case since 4 months prior I was told they were a dire need. My guys smiled and told me, "I'll sell 'em to you if you really want 'em, but you don't need 'em." I left my guys within an hour (I had an appointment you see), peace of mind that the van was running right, and friendly service that I didn't have to question. For North County Ford, the brakes were the straw that broke the camel's back, the icing on the cake, the nail in the coffin, etc... and oddly all it made me want to do was warn everybody else of the frustration and lack of quality they would experience here. This place is a predatory dealership! I am currently getting them taken off of USAA certified dealers as well as getting them blacklisted from Pendleton! I am a combat veteran with PTSD and I honestly think they thought because I talk funny and get shakes that maybe I wasn't very smart either.. They thought wrong! I'd told them more than 3 times I did not want my credit ran yet they continued to ask me questions like my previous address and 3 references. I again asked why they need that info if they're not running my credit. They again stated it was just for their records and not to run my credit. I refused to give them my friends names and phone numbers and began to get aggravated because I knew they were trying to run my credit. I will take legal action if I discover that they did run it. They also offered me $1500 on my car and tried to tell me that was KBB for trade in. Funny that I had KBB on my phone and the minimum offer for trade in was $3500.. (Sold the car to Jimmie Johnson for $3600 cash) I felt extremely insulted and after thinking about it realized they were simply trying to take advantage of me because of my status as an injured veteran. I was in the market for a new car, My father in-law loves American cars and i wanted to indulge him so on June 1, 2013 myself and my brother arrived at the dealership. We were great a man with freckles and short hair im sorry i dont recall his name. We asked to see the fiestas and the focus and was walked back in forth as he didn't know where they were, You are standing in the front all day and dont know where anything is? We were asking him general questions about the ar and he was just reading the paper that was on the window. I can do that myself, Its your job to know about the product you sell! Know mind you i had just got off work at 4am and was dressed in shorts and a black tee. Since eh felt he wasn't going to make a sale he passed us off to another man stating he had something to do i believe his name was Jeff and he tried his best but by that point i knew i didn't want a fiesta and was still iffy on the focus. We thanked him for his time and went to mossy Nissan. I have never had a better salesmen, Steve Amador hooked us up, He knew his cars and was very understanding as to what i was looking for and wasn't pushy at all. I bought my 2013 nissan sentra that day and i love this car, I will NEVER go to north county ford! i hope north county ford reads this and changes some this, There was a couple that we saw at ford now at mossy nissan buying a car from the table across from us! worst customer service that i have been to. for a dealership. Bought a Ford f150 3.7 v6. I went with this vehicle for the reason i dont do alot of towing or heavy work. So i wanted something that was good on gas mileage. Sticker said 17-23 mpg. I'am getting 16 mpg. The reason I went with this truck because on fueleconomy.gov It had average would be around 19. I have owned a tacoma, venza and a yukon. That website it was pretty accurate. My tacoma I was getting 19 mpg just like it said. my venza i was averaging 21-22mpg and my yukon i was getting 16 to 17. When i asked the dealership first time they said i had to break in the engine. Drive it for 5,000 miles. Im at 7,000 called NCF. The floor manager said i drive more conservative That the numbers they put on their they are not always accurate. Long story short called ford motor company they said same thing as the dealer. DON'T BUY A FORD, STAY AWAY FROM NCF THEY DONT BELIEVE IN THEY'RE MERCHANDISE. Should of stuck with GMC or chevy for american truck. read more

I would give zero stars if I could!!!Absolute worst customer service ever! You spend $50k on a brand new vehicle, that is having multiple issues and they won't even give you a loaner vehicle until they diagnose/confirm the "issue". A brand new vehicle should not be having any "issues" and if it does, FORD and the dealership need to own that and take care of not only the vehicle but the customer! Was told this is a Ford wide policy...well then shame on Ford. I thought GMC was bad when they stopped the loaner car program, but they at least put you in a rental on their own dime right when you brought the vehicle in. Ford is officially worse than GM for customer service!!! They left us stranded without anyway to pick up our son from school and take him to football practice, unless we rented our own car. This review is to highlight the experience I had dealing with Brad Fite in the Internet sales department. Brad was helpful and understanding of my situation over the few months it took from when I initially submitted my inquiry to the time that my wife and I actually came to the dealership to purchase a 2017 Ford Explorer. When the car Brad had originally prepared for us turned out to not have a "deal breaker" feature that my wife needed he quickly found a replacement that had everything we needed. He was very personable and we really appreciated getting to know him in the short time that we were there. I would highly recommend dealing with Brad if you are considering purchasing a Ford vehicle in San Diego. Brad is also a published author and provided us a copy of his book detailing his personal story after being injured in the US Marines, I read the book within days of purchasing the car and it was very inspiring and eye opening. I bought a truck from North County Ford. during the End of year sale. 2 days later they tell me they can't deliver the truck as it was sold. They could find another one and basically walked away from the contract. The Sales manager wouldn't call me back and all I got was run around from the Fleet manager. After my first truck finally died (RIP) I was in need for a new vehicle and knew that I would always drive a truck. I was nervous going into the process because I had bought my first truck from my dad and had never really bothered with a dealership before. I applied for an Auto Loan through one of the many local credit unions; however, was denied. I thought all hope was lost until I walked into North County Ford and met one of their salesmen (Brenton Drake). This gentleman was around my same age making him much easier to approach initially, but when we started to work together, I genuinely felt like he was going to battle to get me into a truck I wanted to be driving at a price that I could afford. He was able to get me a killer deal with an interest rate that the credit unions couldn't even dream of getting me and he did it with such grace, speed, and professionalism that I have referred all of my friends in need of a new car to at least talk to him first. Every person at the North County Ford Dealership is a true professional and that was exemplified in Mr. Drake's performance. Couldn't be happier with my new truck and I even look forward to going back for maintenance! read more
