They wouldn't take a check while they were at the house but gladly slapped an extra fee to run a credit card when that's the only option on their online system. My property manager recommend Andrew Johnson and he was very responsible. I didn't like the idea of giving the adjuster estimates to the companies but this one did not go much over the estimate. I found them to be responsive and they never kept me waiting around like the other company did. Andrew's presentation was brief and he understood what I needed done. He was also nice enough to mention the military rebate and I appreciate this company's support of serving members. It was also pleasant dealing with the office manager, Kendall Favor. She was nice and provided the documents.

I made the mistake of trusting United Contracting and Roofing LLC when they convinced me to file a…read morewind/hail damage claim on my roof. Instead of acting like professionals, they pushed me into filing an insurance claim that had NO CHANCE of getting approved--all because they wanted a quick sale. HOW THEY SCAMMED ME: 1 They ignored my request to check an engineering report before filing my claim. I had a 2022 engineering report that showed mechanical creasing and blistering, NOT storm damage. Any legitimate roofer would have known this meant the claim was invalid. I asked their rep, Luke, to review it. He ignored it and filed my claim anyway. 2 They completely failed to do their job. Even without my report, any trained roofing professional should have seen the damage was NOT storm-related. Luke either didn't know what he was looking at OR deliberately ignored what was right in front of him. A licensed Public Adjuster later told me there was NO CHANCE of winning this claim. 3 After they got my claim denied, they tried to sell me a new roof out-of-pocket. Once my claim was denied, their sales pitch changed: "Since the claim didn't work out, let's talk about financing a new roof." It was a setup from the start. They KNEW this claim wouldn't work but wanted a foot in the door to sell a roof. 4 Their manager ADMITTED they made a mistake, then LIED in their BBB response. I spoke to a manager for 20 minutes, who told me outright they should have handled my claim differently. When I filed a BBB complaint, they denied everything and tried to blame me. 5 Now my homeowner's insurance is at risk because of THEIR negligence. My Public Adjuster warned me that filing this bad claim could cause my insurance company to drop me. United Contracting and Roofing NEVER warned me about this risk. They don't care about your insurance, your home, or your financial security--just making a sale. BOTTOM LINE: STAY AWAY! They don't check anything before filing a claim. They push you into claims that will fail just to get a sale. They take ZERO responsibility when things go wrong. They will put your HOMEOWNER'S INSURANCE at risk. Do yourself a favor and find a reputable contractor. Do NOT let United Contracting and Roofing LLC touch your insurance claim or your roof.

Seth Cash, the…read moreowner evaluated the roof for damage; they actually got on the roof then contacted my insurance company and agreed to come out when the adjuster came out to check for damage. They even quoted me a fair price in case the insurance company didn't agree that the damage was covered. After getting a quote from the insurance company we discussed the material checklist and once the contract was signed, we agreed on a day to complete the job. The first day we agreed on had to be changed because of the weather. Seth called me and explained why the date had to be changed. His goal was to complete the job in one day, and that exactly what his crew did. He even brought them dinner so they could eat and then finish the job. I even provided slices of my delicious pound cake for dessert. They worked until it got dark, but the job was finished the same day and the roof was completely replaced. He even removed and replaced wood rotten fascia board up to 30LF on front of the house that the insurance company had not included in their evaluation. His crew did an awesome job on my roof making sure every single part was taken care of and explaining to me any issues they were having. When they finished up for the evening they cleaned my yard and my driveway and blew off everything to make sure that it was all clean and organized. I am very pleased with the job they did. Initial consultation with Gary was good and he seemed like a reliable cabinet maker. He is very…read moreproud of his tenure in the cabinet business. When our cabinets were installed there were several things not up to general standards. The cabinets came with the paint scuffed off in many spots, we had to ask them to come back out to repair. Additionally, they drilled holes to hold wall cabinets in spots that were not hidden and are very visible from a distance. When we asked them to fix this they filled them with caulk assuring us that it would look "perfect". It did not. When they installed the front shaker panel, the inserts were too small for the opening. Instead of creating new inserts so that the opening was equal distance all around (which would have required more material), they removed the front panel and created a new one that was larger on the bottom than the top, creating a front that is not proportional. This became their MO, do the least amount of work and put patches on things instead of making it right. Most concerning Gary installed all of our cabinet drawers with very cheap cabinet slides / hardware. The drawers were very hard to open and the soft close had to be pushed completely to shut. He assured us these were the best of the best. After doing some research with other cabinet makers, we learned these were not the best and a product that most cabinet makers did not use due to negative reviews from owners. We asked Gary to replace them with the slides / hardware we were advised on and he said they were way too expensive. Finally we convinced him to replace them. His crew came out and replaced all but one. They lied to my face when I told them the one didn't seem to be working and they said it was replaced. After a month of following up with Gary he said he wasn't going to replace them and blew us off. Our contractor said Gary had never left his client unsatisfied - consider us unsatisfied! I would avoid this cabinet maker if you can, he clearly is out to cheat his clients and is using bait and switch on materials to get the jobs done and get paid.
