No surprise that the service here has improved. It was a pleasant surprise to pull in here the other days with flat tire and see the familiar faces from Auto Repair of Laguna beach (on the corner of Thalia). Looks like the team is expanding and I wish them all the best, when you are a customer these guys look after you. I pulled in with a puncture, and Rafa was quick to spot it, stopped everything to repair my puncture, and had me back on the road in 10mins. On top of that all he wanted was a fist bump. So I want to make it short and sweet for the average user browsing through. Very reliable, trustworthy, honest, and unbelievably fair in their pricing. I don't know how, but the shop, especially for being more or less on the ocean, has all competitors working 30 miles beat. Honest mechanics are impossible to find, but I've done the impossible. Thanks to all the guys down there for a perfect brake job, tire mounting and balancing and oil change yesterday gapping and changing my spark plugs. As a North Laguna resident, I get gas here often. Today I came in looking to add some air to my tires. A gentleman who's name I wish I'd gotten told me to relax, he would do all four tires for me! Several months prior, I had the same type experience with another employee when purchasing some windshield wiper fluid. Rather than just hand me the concentrate container I purchased, he offered to mix with water and filled the reservoir for me. Really outstanding old school service! This is a great local service station. I stopped by to put air in my tires. I fully expected to pay for it. They have free air and when I asked the clerk for a pressure gauge he gladly gave me one. After a few minutes, a worker named Brad came out and asked if I needed help. I said I was fine, but he offered to do it while I washed my windows. I took him up on his offer and he was done in no time. Brad was very friendly and made my experience easy and enjoyable. I will definitely be visiting this station again!! read more

Unfortunately Steve left North Laguna Shell and I have been back once since then and it was a disaster. They kept my car for 4 days for a minor repair because they screwed up purchasing the part. To add insult to injury, when I went to pick it up because they said it was ready, it wasn't, there was no mechanic on duty, and the pump jockey basically called my classic camaro of 20 years a pile of garbage. I can't even count the times that the guys at north Laguna Shell have saved my butt. From brakes to transmission to general service they get the job done with no hassles, no BS, and a generally pleasant attitude. Usually when you check engine light comes on you get that bad feeling in the pit of your stomach because you know you have to deal with the vipers at the dealership or some professional rip-off artists at the majority of Auto Service places. The service was great! I was pleasently greeted by a gentleman who asked my what I needed done today and I had my breaks serviced. The mechanic was nice as can be and even pointed out that I didn't need to waste money on all the other repairs I had been quoted on at another shop. He pointed out that I kept good care of my vehicle and a simple brake job was all it needed. Nothing but honesty from these guys!! I was able to walk down to the beach and relax for a few hours while they serviced my car. What more could I have asked for?? Parked and spent morning at Crescent Bay beach. Noticed our tire was low, headed to nearest station. Brad approached as we entered off pch. He spent about 30 minutes checking for leak, and making sure pressure was correct in all tires. To top it off, he told us it was on the house! I had my van worked on and was very pleased with the quality of service! My ignition broke and it was street sweeping day! I rode my bike to shell and explained what had happened! one of the mechanics drove up took a screwdriver and carefully started my van ! I drove it to shell and it was fixed promptly!
