I contacted North Pacific Mechanical to replace a mini split for me last summer. I had never had one of these systems before but my new old house had one upstairs that was not functioning. North Pacific came out and bid the replacement of the unit. They charged me $6k for the work which was higher than others but they seemed legitimate. The mini split they installed is woefully insufficient to cool the space. They have not responded to my repeated requests for a solution. Would not recommend. read more

This company has terminated their residential service. I was out of the country for 2 weeks and when I returned I had a voice mail waiting that said they needed to schedule my last service because they were terminating their service. I called that very day and was promised a call back - that did not happen so I called again the next day. Dylan, the company owner told me that he had called several times and send four emails. "I did my due diligence." However, I received only one voicemail and no emails. He said he cannot perform any more residential service and that he would call back and refund any remaining service credit. He owes me $144 for half an annual service contract. His whole attitude was confrontational and essentially blamed me for him not providing service. And during the period when they serviced my house - I had to call them to remind them they owed me a service. If he treats his other customers like this, I wish you luck. UPDATE: They called me back and are issuing a check for the unfinished contract. read more

Found North Pacific Mechanical on Yelp while searching for a company to update my heat and install air conditioning on our home. North Pacific sent out a representative to my home to do a job walk and provide an estimate. We searched for a contractor to help us decide what would be the most efficient way to heat and cool our home and modernize the system. The estimator did not seem familiar with heat pumps or mini-splits and asked us where we wanted the heads to go. Did not offer insight as to why certain areas would be advantageous versus others. Tentatively agreed on a 5 zone mini split system. Would never hear back from the estimator, but got a generic quote for two vent heads and none of the other aspects we discussed. I wish the estimator would have just told me they were not familiar with what I was asking for. We hired another company for the install. read more

North Pacific came to our home through our Home Warranty company to perform a simple pre-season tune-up..the technician said he'd replace the capacitor being afraid the old one wouldn't make through summer BUT to our surprise, this "specialist" wired the new capacitor wrong making our ENTIRE outdoor unit to BURN, yes, it caught fire and all the wires were split and burnt. That pre-season tune-up is now costing us more than $2K to fix. So if you're looking for a company to take care of you, I'm sorry to break the news, look somewhere else. [UPDATE on 07/29/2022] We were contacted by an employee on 07/26/2022, he seemed concerned about what happened to us and he asked if he could stop by our place the next morning. Upon his arrival he was super friendly and genuinely seemed concerned about what have happened to us (our whole AC unit needs to be replaced because it caught fire due to North Pacific Mechanical wiring it wrong during a pre-season tune-up). This employee looked at our AC unit and saw with his own eyes what caused the issue and promised go back and talk to his boss, the OWNER, of the company. Today (07/29/2022) we were contacted by this same person to inform us the OWNER of the company decided to DO NOTHING about it and NOT stand behind the "work" (more like the problem they caused) North Pacific Mechanical has done. So it's crystal clear to me that North Pacific Mechanical DOES NOT care about their customers or losing them. If you had good luck using them in the past, good for you, but if you are looking for a serious company that will stand up and own their mistakes and problems caused by them during their services, PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR and look somewhere else, they WILL NOT stand behind their work and WILL NOT look after you if they cause a problem, like what happened to us. I'm so glad we're now in good care of another company (services the same areas as they do) that has been in constant contact with me, keeping me in the loop with everything that's been going on with our home warranty company and the process (going smoothly). North Pacific Mechanical, you guys are not welcome anywhere near my house ever again. I'm spreading the word not to hurt your business (I don't make anything out of this) but to help save people from the headache you guys caused us. And a little message to the owner, keep running your business the way you have and I'm looking forward to seeing where this will take you and your company. Nearly a year after installing my new furnace (which has been working beautifully), I received an email from Kristene at NPM saying I was due for my free one year inspection and tune up. This was refreshing, since I did not have to call and ask about it. I scheduled an appointment for a couple days later, and then Irving came by to look at the furnace. He was quick, professional, friendly, and he gave me some good HVAC info. Great guy! All has gone well from the install to the inspection, and I feel like our new furnace will continue to keep us warm for many years to come. I should also mention the pricing was very fair, especially considering the supply/demand situation last year. All in all, the bid for the install was lower than the other companies I received estimates from, yet the furnace is just as high quality if not better. Called to have them service a few things found in a home inspection and they were able to get someone out within a week. The scheduling was done over the phone and their receptionist was knowledgeable enough to decipher what I needed (and didn't need) based on the extremely minimal experience I have working with an electrician. When the technician arrived he was friendly and took time to explain everything, also didn't get annoyed with me asking him a bunch of questions. In about 2 hours he was able to inspect an aging electrical panel, install bushing, update 3 GFCI we outlets, deactivate an outlet posing a safety hazard and installed a dryer outlet. I will probably hire them for HVAC too since the electrical experience was such a breeze. read more

He introduced himself and right off the bat I found he was very professional and friendly. We went for two days during extremely cold winter days without heat. NPM got someone out as soon as they could. Dion Kishpaugh was prompt, courteous, and found the problem right away. After 3 other contractors FAILED to repair our A/C (starting in April), the company gave us an appointment next day after they were assigned by home warranty company. Bryan came out and immediately found the refrigerant leak. Then the crew came out on Oct 1, less than two weeks after Bryan, and repaired our unit. They completed the major repairs in one half day! The first contractor had been out 4 times and simply gave up. So we had no A/C during our record heat period because 3 contractors were clueless, poor communicators, and should not remain in business. read more

I could not be more pleased with the level of diligence in service I received from Deon at North Pacific Mechanical. Our AC went out recently and he was able to diagnose the problem swiftly, offering short term temporary solves, per my request, along with long term advisement on more permanent solutions necessary that we knew we needed anyway (our system is 20 yrs old, we knew this was coming). Our AC had shut off on 6/12/24. I called NPM (North Pacific Mechanical) and they scheduled an a/c repair for 6/20/24. They sent someone that failed to diagnose correctly and fix the problem. He just randomly replaced a part, it did not fix the problem, then he replaced another part and it didn't fix the problem either. Then he said the problem is the thermostat, i said it's a new thermostat (he wanted to sell us an $80 thermostat for $600). Then he called his boss and said it's the main board, which was very expensive (anout $1000). He wanted to order that from the manufacturer and reschedule us after 20 days, so I did not accept (we where in the heat wave). I called another company and they came over promptly and tested and fixed the AC. They tested the refrigerant pressure and it was flat and because of no refrigerant the low pressure switch had shut off the system. He fixed the broken needle and refilled the refrigerant and it fixed the problem in no time. The new technician from other company tested the thermostat and main board and said that there is no problem with them. You do the math. Now North Pacific send me the bill for repair that they failed to make, for the parts that they replaced by mistake (optimistically said). PS: The president of the company called me to apologize and returned my payment, so I give them a 3 star for his care about the costomers. read more

I texted back and was told hours later "sorry, just saw this" and that his scheduler would call back.
