Better Air Northwest sent out an estimator (Eric) for free. He was really nice, helpful, and figured out how to solve our issue for a reasonable price! We received the estimate per email a couple days later and unlike other companies, no pressure was put on us to approve the job right away - instead we were given as long as we needed to discuss and ponder. As soon as we approved the estimate, we were contacted so we could get on the schedule. Somehow Edgar and Juan asked and also answered all the questions at the very beginning and we were able to do other things while they did these 2 jobs like the true professionals they are. They started by taping everything in the room with the closet, and it kept everything so clean! (Although they did clean up after - and left the place tidier than it started haha - not even kidding they cleaned our doormat I forgot to clean prior to their arrival!) The attached pictures were provided by them and show the beautiful job they did! But I've seen other little touches that proof they are all about getting the job done right. In no time at all, he diagnosed and fixed the issue with our AC drain line and, on top of that, explained everything to me and showed me how to fix this same issue myself in the future. As if that wasn't enough, he pointed out (politely!) that we were using the wrong size furnace filter--and replacing them more often than needed. He told me what size we should be using, and why, and where to find them. I could not be happier with these guys, and will absolutely be using them again for any and all of our HVAC needs.

Prime has serviced our furnace and AC for about 3 years and each visit has been professional and effective. Most recently, we were concerned about an unusual noise when AC started up and Saif came out within a few days, correctly diagnosed the issue (not a problem), and then returned to do routine service and to add a vent to the furnace which corrected an airflow problem for minimal cost. The correction has been wonderful! Saif works to keep charges down (extra vent was very inexpensive). Prime offers a program for repeat customers for which there is not extra charge (unlike other companies). The Prime administrative staff members are all professional, considerate, and conscientious. We have used multiple companies at our homes in Portland over about the last 40 years; Prime is hands-down the best. Also, we recommended Prime to our son who then chose them to install a new furnace and heat pump. He was very satisfied.

They just finished yesterday, and the weather has been quite mild, so we haven't felt the effects of the insulation yet, but I have high hopes we'll see it on this winter's heating bill!

The water heater was installed 2 1/2 years ago by Rivival Heating and the anode rod needed to be replaced because "Portland water is so hard and full of minerals". The original quote for labor alone (not covered under warranty) was $340 but we got the manager to bring it down to $250. Still, the water heater is only 2 1/2 years old and that was an expense we did not anticipate when we bought the water heater. The prior one was not broken but when we had Rivival replace our furnace, they strongly suggested replacing the water heater at the same time. The old one never produced brown water but after just two years, the new one did. Maybe the water heater wasn't as good as the previous one? Not sure... Forgot to add, my home warranty service said they could not reimburse me because this is a "warranty issue". And to be truthful, the furnace job was great! Just wish the water heater repair didn't cost me anything. Next year, when it is out of warranty, I'll be able to file for reimbursement from my home warranty provider.

They were able to address my concerns professionally & were soooo friendly. I was able to get scheduled the very next day. Wednesday morning rolled around and I got a text with Brenden's picture, which made me feel super safe and even provided a little information about him. He then called and asked if it was a good time for him to head over and gave his ETA. When Brenden arrived he was friendly, warm, and so professional. He said ge would not service it because it will only make it a couple of weeks. They charged me $89 anyways. I called and got a refund since they refused to service it. Nice that they refunded money for service they never performed. They gave me an estimate of over 10k to replace it. I called clean air act. They serviced it up and said it's still has a lot of life left. Now 2026 Chris is texting me wanting to service it on a special of $49. Why? So they can refuse to service it again?
