One of the staff actually told me i'm bothering them by asking about a plant and i should pick one and leave. Do not go here if you would need help shopping for plants. Can not stress how terrible the service is here Update: I went to Terrabella Nursery afterwards where the staff are very welcoming and helpful. I would definitely recommend this shopping here instead

NORTH PARK NURSERY @ NORTH PARK…read more Parking is available on the street for free, and there's also neighborhood parking across the street, which I definitely recommend. I came to this event for Sip & Swap, where you bring your own plant and swap it with others. I loved the idea and had never been to North Park Nursery before, so I was excited to visit for the first time. The space itself is huge, with plants everywhere, from the left side to the back to the right side. They also have stickers, cards, and all sorts of plant-related items. All the plants looked really healthy, and there's a wide variety to choose from. The event even had drinks, like an agave drink, which was free. The vibe was great, and there's outdoor seating where you can relax and admire the plants. Prices range from about $20 to $70, depending on the type and size of the plant. I especially loved the section in the back called "plants that need extra love." These plants are 50% off, perfect if you want to rejuvenate a slightly struggling plant, and they even come with a vase, so you can care for it on your own schedule. They also have pet-friendly plants, which is great if you have dogs, cats, or other animals at home. Overall, I really loved this place. If you're a plant person, I would definitely stop by if you're in the North Park area.

The best place in City Heights and my favorite San Diego nursery! I can be here all day -- and so…read morecan my pup Enzo. First of all, the place is huge. There's so much to see, so bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and comfy shoes since the ground can be uneven. You'll encounter steps, slopes, and some dirt paths. The parking lot is small and fills up fast, so I like to get there early, especially if I'm doing a big plant haul. It can be tricky loading plants when you're parked far away. What doesn't this place have? There's an onsite bar and grill that's dog‑friendly, has live music, and serves brunch on weekends. There's also a cute boutique flower/gift shop with curated items perfect for any plant lover. They offer free local classes to help educate the community -- I've taken the shrub class, but they have tons of gardening‑related workshops. They have chickens, birds, turtles, and more. They care for and rescue animals, which is amazing. They sell compost, and they have every plant you can imagine, plus a large selection of seeds, pots, tools, beekeeping supplies, and canning equipment. I love that this is a neighborhood, locally owned nursery that truly gives back. They do so much to educate the community and promote sustainability. Please support them and get your next plant baby here. A perfect place for kids and pups!

I've gone on multiple anniversary trips with my husband because we love being able to have a nice meal, visit farm animals, and buy all the plants we can fit in our car. We just did this a couple days ago for our anniversary, hence my updated review. We probably shop here 3-5 times/year and love pointing out changes to the grounds during our visits, it's like a new surprise every trip. I'd spend birthdays here too if I could, but they close every year between Christmas and New Years (rightfully so, they give so much to this community and deserve some rest!). This updated review is more of a thank you to everyone at City Farmer's, truly one of the most special places in San Diego.

I used to work in the neighborhood and would always look forward to browsing this store on my lunch break. They have an indoor boutique section as well as a small outdoor section, both filled with a thriving diverse collection plants. The sweet staff always checks in and the handful of times I've purchased a plant, I am always sent home with thorough care instructions, which is so nice to know that they actually know and actually care. Lots of plant nurseries in San Diego, but I feel the service and knowledge here are some of the best. They even help you pot your plants for free, even if the pot or the plant are from somewhere else, as long as one of them are bought here, they'll do it. Decent prices, impressive collection of adorable and unique decor and pots. I haven't tried any of their flower arrangement services but have only heard positive things.

So I ordered from them a second time and was pretty disappointed. I ordered the Peach Fuzz floral for my aunts birthday and it had no ranunculus and was filled with mostly fillers. Don't get me wrong, it was still a pretty bouquet and I know it won't always look like the ones online, but for the price that it was, it could have had more roses or something if they ran out of the ranunculus and less of the filler. Also didn't get a proof of delivery this time, so im not sure if they forgot or if they knew it didn't look like what I paid for. I emailed the company to complain and haven't heard anything from them since. So just something to think about
