Amazing Chinese food in the North Pole Alaska! Who would have thought?! I highly recommended if you're in the area, since it's very hard to find a good restaurant . Portions are big and great for family. The service was great .

We traveled to Fairbanks and spent a day in North Pole. After asking some locals for recommendations, we were pointed to this restaurant and we're glad we came! SERVICE: 5/5 Excellent service! My grandma forgot her reading glasses, but the servers, who spoke both Chinese and English, were incredibly accommodating and communicated with her perfectly. FOOD: 4/5 We were recommended the steak with the surf and turf, which is one of their most popular dishes. It was packed with flavor (slightly on the salty side) but it paired wonderfully with the white rice. AMBIANCE: 5/5 The restaurant was lively when we arrived, and we loved the beautiful Chinese-style decor.

We saw this restaurant on the show Triple D! Wanted to support a fellow Cantonese person and meet Benny. We were very lucky he was in that day. Such a nice guy, so kind and hospitable. From a Hoisan girl, or deah thlai Benny! Dor jeah, in Cantonese I think. He visited us multiple times to see how we were enjoying the food and took pictures with us at the end of our meal. His staff are really sweet too, thanks Jenny! My review is super late, since we visited in April. The food and drinks are incredible. Definitely have to get the Mongolian beef! So glad he didn't let us miss it! Everything was delicious. Also the decorations are gorgeous! You feel like you're dining in an imperial palace. Also, buy gift certificates from Costco for this place. It's a great value.

So when you first walk in it takes a min for your eyes to adjust during the day cuz it's such low lighting ambiance. Lol but it's so quaint They serve you hot tea and water when you sit down and the tea is just blissful. We ordered the hot sour soup and wonton soup with the lunch special and not gonna lie unfortunately the hot sour was wayyyyy to sweet for my taste. And I honestly never saw wonton soup served with zucchini and tomato so it was just a little odd. However, the meals were just delish. He ordered the orange chicken which was as you would expect just delish!! I ordered the general tso added garlic and extra spice and it was absolutely fire!!! It still wasn't spicy to my liking so they brought me over some fried chili which was perfect. The abundance of food is great because it's gonna be a whole extra meal for me to take home. I will definitely be back!

My favorite restaurant in North Pole m hands down. My father dined here a lot so when I'm in town we always stop in dinner. The menu is vast and every single dish I've had has been amazing. The portions are very large and any 1 entree can easily serve 2 people. Price point is average do family style meals and the ambiance is always enjoyable and friendly.

This place was highly recommended. Great fast service. Food was huge portions. The D meal I ordered had a huge portion and I ate it for pick the next day. The Mongolian beef in particular is excellent. It has 4 parts beef and maybe one part onion plus so much garlic. It was outstanding. Highly recommended.

This is my first trip to Alaska. My buddy that was stationed here years ago said the Pagoda in North Pole is the best Chinese food he's ever had. I had to try it for myself and boy was he right! The food was unbelievable and so was the atmosphere. Will definitely go out of my way when in AK to eat here again, will have to bring my family

Came at 5:45 on a Sunday and it was already a full house, but our wait for a table was just minutes. Service was great, food was as good as ever. I'll be back!

This place is by far the best Chinese Restaurant I've ever visited in a while. I was impressed by the quality of food and atmosphere. I was greeted by friendly staff right at the door. The cast iron tea pot was an amazing touch. Pagoda is a must place to visit when you find yourself in Fairbanks Alaska!

I was really excited to try this place during my visit to Alaska after seeing the restaurant featured on Diners Drive Ins and Dives. We ordered: two small soups (wonton and egg drop), Mongolian beef, beef and broccoli and general Tso chicken. Everything was really tasty but the standout dish was the Mongolian beef. Not only was it seasoned perfectly but the texture was perfect as well. Not tough or chewy! We were seated pretty quickly and overall the servers were nice but there was a blonde server in her 20s- early 30 that was unnecessarily rude and nasty when we asked for tea and to go containers... Overall, I would recommend this establishment and I hope that rude server was just having an off day.

After hearing great reviews from several people, I was so excited to try Pagoda, and I'm happy to say it lived up to the hype! My husband isn't the biggest fan of Chinese food, but he was kind enough to join me on the adventure. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside (it's in North Pole, AK, after all), but once you step inside, it's a total surprise! The decor is elegant--not what you would expect in this small town. The ambiance was warm, inviting, and surprisingly upscale. I didn't expect a place with such a polished feel in this area, and I was pleasantly surprised. The service? Absolutely top-notch. The staff was extremely attentive, knowledgeable, and super friendly, making us feel right at home. We were also treated to complimentary hot tea, which was a nice touch. The menu is extensive, with a wide variety of options, and I really appreciated their lunch special--an entree, soup, egg roll and rice for just $19.99. My husband opted for the Kung Pao Chicken, and he loved it! He said the flavor was perfect, and he especially enjoyed the soup that came with his meal. As for me, I did enjoy the soup--I'll give it a solid 10/10--but I wasn't as thrilled with my entree of Beef Lo Mein. I chose something I thought would be safe, but I think I should've picked a different dish. It wasn't bad, just not as great as I hoped. That said, I wouldn't let my choice hold you back from trying the place; the menu is so varied, I'm sure there's something for everyone. Overall, I'd definitely recommend Pagoda if you're in the North Pole area. Between the amazing staff, elegant ambiance, and broad menu options, it's worth the visit. Just maybe make sure you pick the right entree--there's plenty to choose from!

Really wide variety of Asian dishes. Impressed but also dubious about whether they can pull off all of them. Everything we had was pretty good though! Since the name and decoration is Chinese, we stuck mostly to those dishes. I got twice cooked pork which was spicy and delicious! Liked all the vegetables too. Dad got Singapore style rice noodles which were solid. Mom got the Alaskan King crab with ginger and scallions and that was the biggest standout. Such great flavor and cooked perfectly. Much more decadent than just butter and lemon. Brother got strawberry chicken which was interesting. Crispy like orange chicken but with strawberries and sauce on it. Fine, but definitely a one and done. He also got a dragon roll which was ok. I think the rice was a bit dry. Our server Chris was really nice and he advised us to get the ginger and scallion sauce rather than another we considered because he said that one was dry. Glad he kept us from making a bad choice!

Fushimi is special, tucked into a small strip mall with somewhat limited parking. It has a very fun interior, themed almost like any other Japanese steakhouse. The dining experience was great and our waiter was even better. He even chatted with me about my experience in Japan, his experience in the states, and let me practice the very little of the language I still remember from high school (it's been a long while). But the food...if I lived here, I'd be a regular. And quite honestly, I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. We ordered a few things, including the salmon teriyaki dinner. It came out sizzling (literally) but was still perfectly cooked. It wasn't dry or super fishy, just absolutely delicious served over a bed of vegetables with a side of steamed rice. We also ordered a few rolls which, for the life of me, I can't remember the name of because I was too busy actually enjoying my food. Overall, a great dining experience and I can't wait to visit again.
