We ordered the fried squid to start and it was a succulent tender and perfectly cooked plate of squid filets. I had the Pad Mushroom Beef Stir Fry with rice and it had great flavor. I asked for medium and it had like zero heat- but whatever. Looking at my skintone, I get it. The flavor was so good I had no cares in the world. My husband ordered Chicken Pad Thai and it was light and zesty with perfectly cooked green onions. It didn't have that soggy texture some places get. 10/10 going back soon! The Drunken Noodle (Thai Spicy) with the Homemade Noodles was good. Had to get used to the soft homemade Noodle. I prefer the traditional drunken flat noodles. The spice had some heat to it....it was very spicy but still good. Service was descent and ambiance was ok for Alaska. read more

This place was pretty good and their portion size was enough for a meal. I ordered the red curry with the pork and you were able to choose the level of spiceness. I came on a Sunday during lunch hours, but when we arrived, they only had dinner prices and rice had to be paid for separately ($1.50 for rice). The red curry that I ordered had peas, zucchini, and carrots, which I thought was unusual in a Thai curry. I wish there were potatoes in all of the different curries. There was plenty of parking and the heater was on during the winter. Overall, it's a great place to visit, but I would recommend visiting during lunch hours on the weekdays. read more

Up here on a work trip and decided to try this little spot. I ended up going with Fresh Spring Rolls, and Pad Thai with beef, medium heat. Let's talk about medium heat for a second, Thai medium is like an 7 on the American heat scale. So, it's spicy, but the lemon quarter helped cut that down. The spring rolls were really good, not the best I have had but still worth it. The Pad Thai was flavorful, spicy, with the right amount of flavor. I wish it had a few more pieces of tofu, but overall the experience was great. read more

We ordered calamari and coconut soup to start. The calamari was almost inedible. Very tough to eat and we didn't even finish it. The soup was delicious but they didn't offer smaller cups, so we were forced to get a large. Again didn't finish half of it. Ordered the drunken noodles and pad Thai. Both pretty tasty. The homemade noodles for the drunken noodles was pretty flavorful but a little too mushy for my taste. Overall we give them 3 stars. For 1 appetizer, soup and 2 dinners, it was $70 which is a bit overpriced for what we received. It would have been closer to $90 if we had ordered any drinks. Taste is great. Thursday night we got take away and it was a lot of food(enough for next day--- I would have been too stuffed to eat the whole container of my Drunken Noodle)! I was in Fairbanks and looking for a decent place to eat that didn't have a "chain" feel to it. I queried Yelp and found Thai Cuisine Restaurant. Glad I did. Who would think you could find good Thai food in North Pole Alaska out of all places? The food was very good, the presentation of the food was good, the service was nice, and the restaurant help even let me sneak a bottle of wine into the restaurant to have with my meal. How can you beat that? The ambiance here is a little lacking (maybe some Thai music would add to the scene) and the restaurant itself is a little outdated, but if you don't mind that stuff, then come here for good solid Thai food when you are in the Fairbanks/North Pole area. read more

I've been a regular customer of the Thai Cuisine Restaurant in North Pole since I moved here in 2010. Last night 6/26/19 at 7:27pm I ordered our regular To Go dinner of fresh spring rolls and two orders of Pad Thai Beef. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED in what they served me!! Two of the five spring roll wrappers were torn, which made it hard to pick up and eat without it falling apart!! The two orders of Pad Thai Beef, EVERY SINGLE PIECE of beef was BURNT and the tofu was over cooked!! Sure felt like we were served everyone else's burnt leftovers!! Our order was picked up just before 8pm. They close at 9pm. It wasn't even busy when my friend picked up the meal. There is NO EXCUSE to serve burnt food EVER!!! Unless, of course, the customer requests it! I Would've loved to return it but the place was already closed by the time we sat down to eat. Ended up throwing it all in the trash and eating a can of soup! WHAT A WASTE of HARD EARNED MONEY!!!! A hidden gem! This place has the best beef Pad See Ew in North America...I've been to many Thai restaurants but this is the only place that makes their own flat noodles; very juicy, bouncy/soft and nicely textured. Some may find it kind of watery but it is actually perfect! If I get a chance to visit Eielson again, this would be my go to spot. Was eating here almost every night. Don't underestimate the spice when you ask for extra spicy, their "Thai spicy" is HOT but still very good. Couldn't get myself to stop eating my dish (chicken pad Thai), so by the end of it my nose was running which never happens. Love this place and I would come here more often if they were located closer to me! --Oh yeah I also ordered a whole order of chicken fried rice for my kids and husband, it was good too! Great Thai food without having to drive into Fairbanks. Their prices are great and they give you big portions. It's a treat that we indulge in quite often. I haven't tried their curry but their chicken fried rice and Pad Thai are awesome. Came here again this week and ordered the stir fry thai basil with chicken and veggies. Simply great Thai food in a very simple presentation. Amazing how they only use chicken breast with all skin and fat removed. Perfect seasoning (ordered medium) and mix of ingredients. Simply wonderful compared to the 'ugh' meal I had at Pagoda Chinese two days before. Probably the best Thai food I've ever eaten. I had a prawn dish, prep'd Thai hot cause I like it spicy, and it was amazing. I used to love this restaurant, been picking up and dining in for years. Last night made an order for pick up. The order was completely wrong, no big deal, right? I called to get it squared away and they refused to have made an incorrect order. After being told that the order will be corrected 30min later I get a phone call saying it won't be. Long story short, I got screamed at and told "too bad" and "I don't care!" She hung up on me. I will not go back there again, neither will my family. read more

Only warning, if you say you want your pad thai spicy...be prepared for it to be SPICY!!! There is an over rated Asian food place in the North Pole where there food has no flavor. You can not say the same for this little place. We 3 dishes chicken satay and the peanut sauce was very good also the cucumbers were a good balance. Drunken noodles and chicken beef fried rice were both delicious and the leftovers did not sit long in the fridge. If you are looking for food with flavor this is the place. They also have a good supple of Asian ingredients for sale to take home. We will be back here. read more

Since moving to the base (Eielson) my husband and I have not been impressed with the food nearby. Not surprising for the limited choices in North Pole. But today we tried this place and were pleasantly surprised. It was no frills, simple, good thai food.(see photos) The green curry had the perfect amount of spice. We just moved from San Francisco and this is better than any of the green curries I had there. I'd say its the best I've had in the last 11 years or so. Even my husband who usually is not a fan of the curries enjoyed it. We also had pad thai. I do typically like the wider rice noodles, but the flavor was awesome and the dish was not at all dry as has been the most recent trend. Our server was nice ( at least to us. She kept yelling at someone back in the kitchen, which was very entertaining to us ^_^). Prices were reasonable for Alaska, pad thai for $12, curry for $14. We'll definitely make this one of our regular joints. read more
