I get to visit this very fine town more than a few times a year since my brother and his family moved here in mid 2000s. And this park is definitely a highlight for his kids to be out and about and do things that is so quintessential summer! Here are some of the key highlights: - Big kid's playground, fully mulched, with all the swings and the castle of slides. The grounds clearly are well taken care of and everything looks so pretty - There are big soccer fields right behind the kids' playground. I almost mistook it for a mini golf course; the field was so green and well maintained and I believe there are more than 3 of them; and one is even lighted for night matches. - There is an amphitheater bang in the middle of the 35 acres expanse where they have bands come in and play during the summer and there are scheduled movie screenings as well. - 4 Tennis courts. So neat and clean. i was really impressed to see the quality of the nets and the hard court coats. Finally, the access roads - in and out of the park, connecting the main streets are so well maintained, with enough parking for families to come in and enjoy great times. Keep up the good work!! - Amazingly well kept baseball / softball field.

We did not call it by name, we called it Castle park, by the library, near the school. Oh, thank goodness, for the love of God!, that library turned out to be one of the best parts. The children loved the children's book section, no kidding? right, lol. Yes, highly recommended of chaperone experience for the little ones, hey, enjoying the park for them, eh, okay it is enjoyable for adults, okay, fine! You got me, lol. The interaction of genuine heart of children sometimes results in adults caring to share the basic human need of thankful communication. One "face to face" treasure of social experience. Justly peaceful, and it is patrolled not only by parents, there are venues of the township, like the library, and the police are not long, had that been necessary. Never had I've seen the police needed to be notified to go there. Thank you Egg Harbor Twp, I used to live there. Good today of days. If you try to get there early, parking is definitely easier and closer to the Zoo entrance. We got there around 1pn and it was starting to fill up. The good news is that zoo parking is FREE and so is the fee to get in. They ask for a donation and we were happy to provide a donation for such a great experience! I can ony imagine the upkeep for a zoo - - the property upkeep and animal care, the workers, etc. There were so many animals that were already out with many more that are starting to be brought back outside since the weather is getting warmer. Don't miss this treat when you're in Cape May - - or make a special trip alone - -it's great for kids and for people any age! The park is very clean, has plenty of rest rooms, food/drink and also a beatiful playground when you first get to the zoo. The only animals we really missed were the Giraffes. I'm sure they were somewhere -- and they dont really like the cold temps - - I'm sure they'll be back as it warms up. They dont like temps under 50 - - i dont blame them. And don't sleep on the reptiles - - the turtles, frogs, snakes and alligators are waiting for you! All in all, we were there for about 2 hours. I would guess when it's more crowded, it may take a bit longer to get through the exhibits. So go now and have fun before Memorial Day gets here. :)

BEST part : LOTS OF TREES for SHADE !!…read more Well worth the money ($43 includes taxes and fees, online purchase). The park is clean, very well maintained with beautiful landscaping. Staff are very nice and friendly. There are lots of trees providing shade so it has a magical garden vibe. You don't get the sense of it being an overly commercialized amusement park at all. All the rides are geared towards younger kids like 2-8 yrs old. It is not crowded on weekday and there were no lines for rides. I would gladly pay for these types of parks over spending hours in line at crowded Disney parks any day. It's small and compact so it's an easy walk for kiddos and grandparents, yet large enough that there are enough rides and attractions to spend a whole day. Outside food and drinks are allowed, plenty of covered seating areas. I was surprised to see peacocks, pheasants(in aviary) and rabbits (in the straw 3 Little Pigs house). Bathrooms are clean. There is a splash pad area, bring water play clothes for the kids if you want. Food is reasonably priced. Keep up the great work ! Love this spot PS: Some minor things that could make the experience better : Some of the dolls, statues and animatronics are creepy looking. Lol. I hope they consider repainting the expressions or replacing : Mother Goose's eyes Goldilocks Snow White 100 dolls at the gift shop looks haunted lol Little Red Riding Hood
