Body seem solid so I said id take it. When the gm sent the paperwork out, there is a $500 up charge for some paint protection coating. I was pretty pissed and probably should have walked away from the sale. The second time I drive the vehicle, its bucking and there is a check engine light on. I take the vehicle back - bad ignition coil. And I'm informed the warranty is only a 50% warranty...see the sign in the service area ( which is a separate building from the sales area) i walked the lot and nearly every vehicle had the same paperwork indicating 100% warranty . Unfortunately I only drove the truck a couple of times during the warranty period. A few hundred miles later, another check engine light ... failing oil pump. My mechanic also find cross threaded bolts on the starter and pinched wiring harness patched with electrical tape....ended having to replace the oil pump, starter and harness. And then the third check engine light...more engine mis-fires due to eroded plugs. So far, my repair bills for 10 weeks of ownership are roughly $5000. One check engine light i can write off as bad luck, two in such a short period is suspicious, three in 10 weeks really makes one wonder about the condition of the vehicle

We looked it over and loved it. We bought it and went on our way. Got back to Maine and it popped a code and the check engine light. We checked the code and it was the cat, no big deal as our county doesn't check emissions. Unfortunately they didn't sticker us, and as we weren't going to have the title before our trip we couldn't register and I had to drive back down and have them sticker it. They finally got the light off by putting 02 spacers, but told the inspector who then refused to sticker it. I leave and by the time I get to Maine again the check engine light is back on. Same code, so it is irritating but not a huge deal. One thing I had noticed driving the jeep was a gasoline smell, but assumed it was due to a known jeep overflow issue. Took our trip, got back, registered it, and took it in for an inspection. IT FAILED HORRIBLY. It failed due to the following plus a few others: - Fuel leak from the tank, only evident when the tank is full and the actual reason for the smell. - All of the axle seals are faulty. - Leaking differential fluid. - Leaking coolant. - Broken water pump. In short, we are now going to have to pay thousands of dollars on top of the 17k we already paid for the vehicle. Unfortunately as it was sold 'as is' we are stuck with it.
