Took my car back to Chris who told me he could fix it but I would have to wait another couple of weeks. I agreed but was not happy. After getting my car back three weeks later, the car looked better until I waxed it. Right quarter panel had so much orange peel that I have to take the car to another body shop since Chris won't fix it again and correct his mistake. For God sake, don't take your car to Chris's automotive! You will experience nightmares with this body shop. I have no idea how he remains in business.

FIRST IMPRESSION: Elaine at the front desk walked me through the process. She was very kind and patient. You'd be surprised at some of the off-putting/uncomfortable/ or condescending interactions I had at other shops before coming here. She didn't need much information other than my insurance quote. I was given a drop-off date and told how long the repair should take. She made sure I knew how the rental car situation would work. She was very proactive; she called me a week before the drop-off date to let me know she hadn't heard anything about my car rental reservation and wanted to alert me. DROP-OFF: On the day of, I had car rental issues, none of which was PC's issue, but Elaine again was patient with me until I had that straightened out and offered to make me a cup of coffee. PICKUP: -which was indeed the expected date originally quoted to me, I had some issues with my debit card and it was almost closing time. Both Elaine and Ken were so very patient with me. They allowed me to take more time to go to the nearby bank branch to clear up the issue, which put me back at PC after closing time, on a Friday no less. Ken was gracious about the whole transaction and walked me to my car. WORK PERFORMED: -was a big replacement from a rear end collision. They were able to work a previous damage that directly affected the job they would be performing into a supplemental charge to the insurance company. When I say that car never looked so good, I truly mean that. The new version of my car was thoroughly detailed inside and out and the replacement was seamless. I chose Bolton Collision because they were close, had great reviews, could give me a quick estimate and they were kind to me on the phone. Instead of telling me that they had to order a part that would take forever and charge me a fortune, Dave the owner fixed it on the spot for a very low price. Long Appreciation Post…read more A couple weeks ago, I was rear ended on 91 by a hit and run driver who did not brake for the stopped traffic. I am extremely grateful for my Ford Explorer for keeping me safe and being able to walk away without injury. In need of a whole new back end of my Explorer, I chose Johnson's Auto Body in Tolland to repair my car because of a positive referral. I cannot express HOW INCREDIBLE they were!!! Renee, who works the office, was AN ABSOLUTE ANGEL and walked me through the entire process. She was genuinely empathtic and consistently reassured me that "I, and my Explorer, are in very good hands" and that "I was going to get it back and it'll look like nothing ever happened." She sent me a text message every day with an update on the car, insurance or just to see how I was doing and feeling. Sure enough, I got my Explorer back and it looks PERFECT!!
