Great staff, answered all my questions! Asked what I wanted and how I would be using my new glasses. Really made sure my optical needs were met. I decided to schedule exams for my husband and I at this office because we went in for a frame adjustment and the woman with curly hair took great care of us. I have been in the optical field for 13 years and recently changed career paths. I know first hand what it takes to properly and professionally care for the patients. My first issue was, although my husband and walked out of the doctors office together, we were split up. One lady tried to check me out as another was checking him out. Common sense should come into play, we are paying together, why divide us if we both were checking out at the same time? My second issue: We had to schedule our appointments for a Saturday (we are only available on weekends) and I chose the latest available. My husband wanted to shop for new frames. The optician he was handed off to (older Caucasian lady) made it a point to say "Do you know what you are looking for, if not I suggest you come back another time because we are getting ready to close". I was appalled but bit my tongue. Fortunately he had a style in mind and we were able to pick out his frame fairly quickly. My third issue: The Optician that check out my husband was having to call for help every few minutes. She made a few mistakes that had to be corrected. She is definitely not a new employee so I have no idea why she was having issues billing us and our insurance correctly. 4th issue: When checking out we were never told an ETA and how we would be contacted. I had to call 9 days later to figure out if my contact trials were available for pick up. I was told at that time I should've gotten a text (never got a text). It's been 15 days since my husband's order was placed, still no call or text about his order. 5th and Hopefully Final issue: Like I said I had to call to figure out where my trials were. Cody the office manager answered the phone. She started off sounding as though she was busy and just wanted to get me off the phone. Then she was trying to say that I had to come in for a follow up appointment. I was trying to explain to her that I didn't need an appointment and why I didn't need an appointment but she kept interrupting me and abruptly placed me on hold. I got upset, hung up the phone and called back. Cory answered the phone again and explained why she had me on hold. I then explained to her that there was no need to put me on hold had she just listened to what I had to say. Then I asked about my husband's order and she accused me of being rude. All I did was try to explain my situation and ask for my husband's order status. My voice didn't get louder and I didn't use foul language. If anything she was the rude one. I decided to go straight over and pick up my order. I approached the desk and asked for Cory, she said I am Cory. I asked if she was the manager and she said yes. I then proceeded to let her know that her behavior was shocking and I didn't appreciate her not listening to what I had to say as I was telling her this, she attempted to walk away. I knew then and there I needed to speak to the doctor because I lost all my patience with her. When the doctor came out he was apologetic, I appreciated that. Unfortunately he said "I'm sorry and this is my office so I take responsibility but how it's being run is what works for me and my staff". So he basically said if I don't like it, I can leave. They offered me a copy of our prescriptions and I asked that they email them. He said oh well we can just print these out for you. As I stood there for another 4 minutes waiting for the print outs I decided to leave without them. An hour later they were sent via email. Never to return once my husband's order arrives! Dr. Ken definitely knew his stuff and provided great care. I was off put by his response towards his office managers behavior. Super unfortunate!! read more

Went for my eye exam and I was told to have this done I would need too have a retinal exam at an additional cost 39 dollars, explained I have one done through my primary care. So I declined was told they would not do my eye test its their policy as I over heard the eye doctor telling the receptionist. I said I would find a new provider and then was told I would be charged 75 dollars for not keeping my appointment. What a scam. VSP premier provider I don't think so. read more

Bad experience with this center . After being a long time customer I received contacts that were torn, they were not willing to replace them I ended up paying for them again . Very bad customer service do not recommend this place. read more

The doctor was extremely friendly. My eyes have never felt better. I recommend them highly. The prescription is perfect.

My husband had his annual eye exam and chose not to purchase his glasses from Northglenn Optometric Center. When he asked for the Distance and Near PD numbers so he could order from another store, he was told they do not provide that information and they would only give it to him if he purchased his glasses from them. He paid for that information when he paid for the exam and his prescription information. Not acceptable. That kind of treatment just lost them two customers. read more

Absolutely the worst! The eye doctor was nice, but couldn't get my prescription right. The staff discouraged me from coming in on Saturdays as it was their busiest day, they nickel and dime you for everything, then the last straw was emailing them for my prescription and they said I had to pay my balance $5.00 (which I had paid stupidly in cash the last visit) and now owe them $15.00 ($5.00 + $10.00 late charge) with no way of proving I paid it since it was back in August or September. Seriously? How cheap and desperate must they be! I will never go back to them, especially since they held my prescription hostage and it turned out to be too strong anyway. BEWARE! read more

I initially chose this place as it was conveniently located and came recommend by a relative of mine. The optometrist is very nice and patient and goes over everything well, which is probably why I have gone here twice. This second time around was the worst with the front end staff. After my exam I wanted to order contacts (and I have been wearing contacts for 5 years now) the girl behind the counter said that I should wait at least 2 weeks before ordering to make sure they work. Now I get that perhaps it would be good to wait, but I've had this same prescription and felt completely comfortable. It took a moment for me to actually CONVINCE her to let me order contacts. Most of the other places let me order right after the exam anyway so what was the deal here. I want to order colored ones from FreshLook, the girl behind the counter says that brand is phasing out and that I would have to order through Air Optix... again I had to demand/convince that I wanted to order FreshLook contacts.. and after a couple minutes of going back and forth I again was able to CONVINCE her to order what I wanted. The girl behind the counter said well next time you can order from Air Optix because the carry green, hazel and blue colors (colors I'm not interested in as I was ordering Violet, which looks good believe it or not) Flash forward to today about 3 weeks after my appointment I received my clear contacts. I picked them up and the girl behind the counter was like looks like the others haven't come in yet. I'd hate for you to come back and then asks, "do you need these right now?" In my mind I was like no I don't.... I'll just continue to wear these now old contacts until the others come in. Really?! I'm here now why wouldn't I pick up what you have now. So that pick-up was 8 days ago my color contacts have still not come in, they said that they shipped and should be here in 2-3 days. I have tried calling, either it goes to voice mail, a busy ring or the call is dropped on their end like they are having phone issues. After this experience I will not go back I shouldn't have to CONVINCE and go back and forth about what I want. read more

Staff was rude, they double charged for the contact fitting fee, one to me and then billed insurance as well, charge for a contact lens class and no one else in Denver metro charges for a class. The class was a joke, the gal didn't even try to work with my daughter to get her contacts in eye, they told her a ton of negative stuff that scared her so bad that she was crying there as well as 2 hours after we got home, She even had a anxiety attack in car after we left. When I contacted insurance company about them and they found out the double charged not only to me but also billed insurance the lady was like you will be getting full refund when I am done with them and I totally recommend you go else where. She said this place will be written up due to these issues. I would not recommend this place, they were in a hurry to do exam as well as the class for contacts. If you have gone there I would double check with your insurance and make sure you didn't pay out for the same service that they billed insurance company for. They are double pocketing. I think they want you to buy glasses from them only and not contacts. SCAM ARTISTS! Go to someone that is a reliable company and explains everything up front as well. read more

I went to Dr. McGuire for many, many years. He recently passed away, and I wasn't sure if I would keep going there, or if I would look for someplace closer. It was particularly important to me, since I had a detached retina last year and have to have a relationship with an optometrist like I had with Dr. McGuire. I did have an exam here recently, with Kenneth Headington. I really liked his manner and the way he explained some things to me. If he stays there, I will definitely go back to him. read more

I was very pleased with Dr. Ken. I had gone to Dr. Mc Guire for 30 years. I was pleased with the time Dr.Ken took to give me my exam and explain my results. The ladies in the office were very friendly and efficient in dealing with my insurance claim, selecting glasses and other help they gave me. I think it is very helpful to have the same person examine your eyes so that they can spot changes if your eyes start to change. I would highly recommend this office. read more

I purchased my glasses here and was not even offered a receipt.....unprofessional. I paid over $500 for one pair of glasses....and that's having VSP insurance (another $165 a year)! That's a total of $665 for 1 pair of glasses....what a ripoff! I have contacted several other optical stores and after comparing apples to apples (or glasses to glasses), I will be saving hundreds of dollars by going to any other optical store and dropping my insurance. read more

Office staff is HORRIBLE!! I have had to get my insurance company customer care to contact them three times, just to get them to fax over my prescription to a new place. One person will tell you one thing and another something completely different. The office manager pretends to be different people. I had to threaten to call the police to get my money back and the office manager said I was threatening her life. Waited two weeks to get my refund and over 48 hours for them to fax over my prescription. Seriously to much drama for just getting glasses and contacts. Save yourself the time and go somewhere else!! read more

I brought my son here for his first ever eye appointment. Making the appointment was easy, and the location is conveniently located off of I-25. The appointment itself went great. Dr. Headington (Dr. Ken to my son) is amazing with kids, and he was able to keep my 3 year old son's attention for the entire appointment. My son was not covered under my vision plan, and Dr. Headington's office was able to work with us to make the visit affordable. After my son's appointment went so well, my wife decided to make an appointment. Dr. Headington was able to fix her contact lens prescription, so she can finally see clearly after years of inaccurate prescriptions from different chain vision centers. She was ecstatic and has found her eye doctor for life! If you are tired of bad eye doctors and want to see the world clearly again, I recommend giving Dr. Headington a chance. You won't regret it! read more

The front office staff here is the worst and offers a poor reflection of the center as whole, especially since Dr. Kenneth is a really good doctor. I only recently returned to this office because of the convenience of it being open on a Saturday. My biggest gripes are with the two to three girls who are behind the actual counter. One of them clearly has no clue about what she is doing or how to interact with patients. My actual exam was fine. Dr. Kenneth, was very kind and took his time. They recommended I wait a week to order my contacts which was not a big deal, but since I already had the same brand before I really wish I would have been able to order them right away and not have to deal with the office staff again. After the appointment one of the girls seemed annoyed with the both the Doctor and me for having to break down the cost of my appointment and prescription as it was close to closing time and I must have been the last appointment of the day. The office did call to follow up but didn't leave a message so that was odd. I finally remembered to call and order my lenses. I was given the run around and put on hold multiple times before someone could help me. Finally they had my file pulled and walked me through how much it was. I previously had a sheet with the price broken down on them which referenced how much my insurance would pay. When I asked the girl on the phone about my insurance I was put on hold again and told that her boss would have to call me to go over it because she didn't know how the insurance works and they were really busy right now. Really? At this point my patience was wearing thin. Her boss then called me 20 mins later and proceeded to go through the amount including the insurance. She then asked if I would like to pay over the phone or come to the office, which was dumb. Before I had the chance to ask about where my contacts would be shipped or to confirm my address she promptly hung up without saying anything. I was then called 10 minutes later again by them to ask to confirm my address. Once I returned the call, I was informed that the girl who had previously called me had just "stepped out." I played phone tag until I was informed that they just needed to confirm my address. One of the office greeters was a real sweetheart about the whole thing so she helped make up for some of the shortcomings of the others. Overall, I won't be back and I recommended you look elsewhere for your optometry needs. Its really unfortunate too since it is just the office staff creating a poor representation of the Doctor and others who are actually doing there job correctly. I also don't like the whole ship them to your house system they have. I'd rather they be sent to the office to be picked up but whatever, I don't want to apparently "inconvenience" the staff more than I already have. read more

Absolutely wonderful! I have a family of 8, we all get seen there by dr. Kenny. He was great with our four year old daughter, who is really shy but he was able to get her to respond. The rest of the faculty are great as well. read more

I do not suggest this place at all! I went in at the end of July for an appointment. The lady that "checked me in" was very nice and helpful but the lady that did the eye appointment was stand off-ish and not very fun to be around. I had about 5 pairs of glasses to choose from, because insurance was paying - I didn't expect to be able to pick from everything, but some more option would have be nice. The appointment was rushed and seeing the write up, the prices are insane! Even with insurance paying from the eye exam I still had to pay $125 just for anti-glare and scratch protection on ONE pair of glasses, and by the way their protection sucks! I wear my glasses all the time and only cleaned them with the cloth they provided or another cloth like it and I never dropped them or anything, and not even a month later they had several deep scratches and a pit in the right lens. I took them to have them looked at the lady that helped me was not very nice and seemed irritated that I was there. I will not be going back. I used America's Best before them and I got 2 pairs of glasses with protection for less than their $125 and never had any problems. read more
