Great new business I hope plenty of others go out to support. They have a great location in Redmond and the place looks great inside. I walked by one busy weeknight and it looked so happening. My first time there was a rainy Saturday afternoon, perfect weather for a warm pie and refreshing beer. It was quiet but still very inviting. The staff wad great and friendly. I tried a couple of their beers and really enjoyed them. I enjoyed their gobbler pie. Might've been cool if they added cranberries to it, but it was was delicious as is. I heard them mention they do Trivia every other week. I will definitely be returning soon. read more

We were among first to arrive for comedy show and asked to order through app for food and beverages which we did. App didnt have choice to order flight of beers, chicken pot pie or filling for empanadas so we specified to server. After 30 minutes watching others being served we asked about our beverage order and offered apologies for delay. In the meantime owner kept reminding people to drink alcohol. As more drinks continued to go past us we approached server yet again only to be told she was making 27 drinks. After further wait i finally canceled our drink order. An hour after placing our food order we were served our one salad and pot pie. About 30 minutes later our appetizer arrived with a different filling than ordered. Not only was owner profusely encouraging everyone to drink up he was also encouraging generous tipping. My advice: get more help and focus on customer service and instead of meaningless apologies offer a free beverage and appetizer if customer order overlooked or incorrect. Started coming here a few months ago and love it! Portions are a very nice size where I don't feel like I've over-eaten yet am certainly full. Plus it's very reasonable and a great value. The salad that comes with the pies are a wonderful touch (love the beets!). Nice selection of pints to choose from as well to help wash down the delicious pies! Oh, and don't forget to try the pretzel (best to share with others or it's a meal on its own). Atmosphere is casual and fun and the team working there is friendly and attentive. We've been here a couple of times now and only had beers and Loaded Tots, which both were very good. The servers are friendly and there's a nice vibe. The place is clean, has a great-looking Pacific Northwest mural and music is not too loud or weird. On another visit, we'll try a pizza. read more

I wanted to watch a Husky Football away game, and was headed to a different bar. Then I noticed this place and saw there was lots of room so I went in to try it out. Lots of big-screen TVs and they were happy to put the game on. Beer snobs should like this place. They had lots of microbrew options and the bartenders were very knowledgeable about them. I was disappointed that they had no macro-brews. How hard would it be to stock cans of Budweiser? Fortunately they had some lighter brews that I could drink. Food snobs will probably dislike this place despite the fact that the salads are made from all those bitter, fancy greens. The hot food is, sadly, all reheated, but on the other hand was still quite good. The servers were friendly, helpful, and very fast. Great service. I think the problem is that this place is confused about what type of bar it is. It is big and open and has a lot of big-screen TVs like a sports bar, but even though the layout is made for big crowds of excited sports fans watching their team(s) on multiple TVs, they don't have commercial beers or simple ("bar-food") eating options. The food and especially the beer is put forth like a small, intimate brew-pub. If they want the intimate brew-pub feel, they need to make the place "smaller" (by dividing the single large area into smaller areas with planters or similar items) and "softer" (like, by buffering the almost antiseptically bare feel with wood or other more "earthy" materials). But personally I think the place could be a gold-mine if they simply added half a dozen taps with Bud, Dos Equis, Coors light, and a few other macro-brews, added some less-snobby food items. Even if they don't want to have a full kitchen, even adding a fryer would increase their options. And then advertise for various events. The place would be packed to the gills if they had specials for Husky Football away games, Seahawks games, etc. Even Seattle Thunderbird away games, if put on one or two of the TVs, would draw people in if it was known. Bottom line -- microbrews, good but reheated food, lots of TVs, and almost always plenty of open seats. read more

It's a cute place but the food is extremely underwhelming. The days I have gone there which usually is Saturday or Sunday it's been very slow other places are busy with people but not this place. Like I said the food is subpar and the drinks are good. read more

Decided to check out this new place in Redmond and wasn't disappointed. Their savory pies and salads are delicious for lunch. I had the shepherds pie and chicken pot pie were both delicious as were the side salads. I can see this place becoming part of my routine especially in the rainy season when I'm craving comfort food. read more

Great pies! We tried the chicken one, the Montpellier chicken pot pie and the Burgundy beef pot pie. Pies come with arugula side salad that we also enjoyed. Definitely want to come back and try more things on the menu. Right now they have an amazing chai cider!!!! Many options on tap and they have Mark Ryan wines (which are wonderful). Great location, it was easy to find parking. Looking forward to trying the sweet pies next time I go and the pizza. This place also has good selection of non alcohol beverages as well. Nice clean cool and comfy environment. There is a couple areas with couches too. They have nice looking merchandise for sale, cool shirts. Highly recommended stopping in. We were in on a slow Tuesday afternoon and the food and service were great. Brian the server is friendly and helpful, a true professional. The savory pies and salad were very nice and what we came in for. They are locally made as well as the sweet pies for desert. We didn't try the pizza since we wanted a light lunch and with a porter and red ale the pot pie and salad were just right. Nice place for lunch. read more

Stopped in for lunch on a whim this afternoon. My wife and I got the beef pie and the chicken pie. Both crusts were flaky and flavorful. The beef filling is a beef Bourguignon and was very good. Chicken was tarragon and rosemary. Unusual, but also quite good. The salads were a perfect compliment to the pies. We shared a piece of apple pie for dessert, and enjoyed that as well. Service was friendly and very responsive. Three large screens made watching the football game enjoyable as well. Overall, I would recommend this place, and we expect to return soon! read more

Short: This place might reject valid IDs, beware. Food was good, but you can find good food anywhere. We had a party of 12 and were polite for our size, we know large groups can be stressful. However we had a 28 year old guy that they wouldn't let order alcohol because his ID looked suspicious. He's my cousin and we share the same ID type, and his ID is 100% valid and authentic, yet they still wouldn't accept it. Our group of 12 included 5 of his aunts and uncles, we weren't trying to sneak anything, we could have gotten alcohol anywhere. Let it be known that this place might not accept valid IDs, and we were 2 seconds from walking and choosing somewhere else until he calmed us down to not make a scene. I never leave reviews, that's how much this disappointed me. We will not be returning. read more

Read this before you come here. I'm pretty sure this has been the worst experience I've had. You walk in and nobody acknowledges you. There's a sandwich board in the entryway that says service at bar after 6pm. Most people don't know what that means. They need to spell it out and say order at the bar after 6pm to make it very clear. The size of the portions is laughable for $13. I'm not a person with a big appetite that can eat a lot. The size of the savory pot pies are smaller than the super basic Banquet pot pies you can get in the freezer section of your local grocery store. Again for $13. And it wasn't even cooked properly. It was burnt and raw at the same time. It seems like they were more worried about getting the food out quickly instead of quality. Also, I love beets but the salad that comes with the pot pie says nothing about beets yet the salad is covered in shredded pickled beets. Yum for me but I know beets are a love hate for most people. The Mac n cheese pot pie, a joke. They literally have a silver dollar sized top crust in the middle of the "pie". They even have 4 different man n cheeses on the menu which they should just stick to instead of also having a "pie" that is probably no different than the Mac n cheese on its own. The staff is not friendly at all which is awesome. Again what a joke. I will not be back and hope something better takes it's place eventually. read more

We would love for this restaurant to make it, but they need to step it up. Wait staff was great -- no complaints there. Food is not memorable. You need to "own" the pot pie market... not even close yet. We ordered three different pies.. none were great. I thought mine might have been mediocre because it wasn't warm enough. Asked for it to be heated up as pot pies should be piping hot... but, sadly, that didn't really help. Arugula salad was "meh." Ordered to the chocolate stout mousse pie and apple pie desserts. Apple pie was awful. Safeway is better. The chocolate stout mousse pie was good, but they really should be delivered in a pot pie vessel... not just a sliced pie. We are rooting for this restaurant to make it, but we won't be back unless we hear some really strong reviews. Nice atmosphere... just need to "OWN" this pot pie space. Not good enough to be here in a year for the food, but we would come back for a beer. read more

We decided to check this place out after being referred by friends and we didn't have a good experience. We were ignored by our waiter for extended periods of time, multiple times, to the point that another waiter came to check on us after noticing we still didn't have drinks or food. Went there a couple weekends ago on a Sunday. Got a couple pints, an excellent dry cider on tap, and two delicious pot pies. Many other food options but the pies sounded good and were excellent, and filling, and served with salad which made me happy.
