Fraud and Scammer!! All I can say is my poor parents. They called Nostalgia Electronics to service our families jukebox. The jukebox had been in our family for over 20 years! It WAS working and just needed a tune up and some oil. George said it would cost $475 for the service and the service charge. He came out and sprayed the jukebox with some oil and told my parents it needed some parts and would have to take it to his shop. My parents are in Their 70's and did not tell me and my sisters that they were going to use a company to service the jukebox because the first thing we would've done was look at his reviews. After weeks of no returned calls my parents went to look at their jukebox. When they arrived the jukebox had not been worked on and George was just sitting in a chair drinking a beer. He said he was just waiting for the parts to come in. George told them it would be fixed in a few days. 6 weeks later my dad made another appearance at the shop. He told my dad it would be fixed soon. My dad told George if this cannot be fixed within 4 days that he was coming to pick it up. Three days later he texts and says it's ready. My dad took my brother in law with him. He goes to the jukebox and the motor is out and the jukebox was not put together. My dad told George that he was taking it home because he said it was ready and it looked destroyed. George refused to let him take it so my dad called the police. My dad got his jukebox back! The jukebox does NOT work and so my parents paid $475 to have their jukebox destroyed! It makes me sick to my stomach that this happened to them. Shame on you George! read more

I wish I had read the reviews before I dealt with George. When I met him, he seemed like a nice fella, and I trusted him. I went through the same hassle with him back-and-forth for about a month before he finally to delivered the jukebox that was supposed to be a year old. I paid $7100 for it the other day I looked in the back and the serial number of the machine he brought me was not the machine that I bought. I'm now waiting for a call from the fraud department to see if I can get my money back. George is a very bad man. read more

Jukebox George is likely to make your old Jukebox worse, rather than better. He is expensive and is rough in handling your jukebox. He seems to care very little for protecting your floors as he wrestles your Jukebox into whatever position he wants. While he might do some good in cleaning and lubricating a Jukebox, his repair work is sloppy at best and probably harmful. Do not use him, find someone else. read more

George should be in jail. He said it would cost $1,800 for a part that my 1950's jukebox doesn't use. The jukebox was working when he received it. I said I don't want the service, now he won't let me pick it up, even when we showed up with the $475 'diagnostics fee.' George charged me $2000. He took apart my perfectly working jukebox and never fixed it. I had to go to a different vendor to have it put back together. When I asked him what the money went towards, he replied that he had done the work... when all he did was overcharge me and took my money and left me with a broken jukebox. SCAM ALERT!! This business should be shut down. Wish I would've read these reviews before I got involved. Same story as others . Said he would fix and did nothing. Cost us $2,500 and all he did was look at our jukebox and transport it from Lake Havasu City to Scottsdale. Maybe made some calls for parts, but that's it. He doesn't even have a real "shop". It is a storage garage located at 1445 E. McKellips Rd. in Tempe. He has many past phone numbers, addresses and aliases. I never post reviews good or bad. I just had to post this one. In talking with George he seemed knowledgeable, so we scheduled an appointment. I was sorely disappointed when he arrived. George was clear their was a $375 Service call fee, according to the website this was supposed to include a maintenance (which he strongly promoted all machines should have). He sprayed a can of lubricant and said that was not include in the $375 that was another $350 dollars. He was here all of 20 minutes to tell me the unit had to be hauled back to the shop and would cost somewhere between $1500- $2000 with no promises of fixing the problem. What a nightmare. What should have been a minor adjustment to our jukebox, became much more. We scheduled an appointment for repair. The cost was $375. We told him at his shop and when he came to our home the problem we were experiencing. He opened the jukebox and noticed a spring that is part of the carriage on the bottom of the cabinet. That became his mission, replace that spring. After a few minutes of trying to replace that spring, all 4 mounting springs were out. He wrestled with the carriage a little longer and was unable to replace the springs and bolts. He then tried to operate the jukebox and it wouldn't run. Keep in mind it did work prior to his messing with the carriage. His solution, after a 30 minute destruction of our jukebox, was get it to his shop for more repairs or sell it to him and put that money towards buying one of his jukeboxes. We chose to send him on his way. I was in tears, as he left, and all I got was a jukebox that was a mess. DON'T use this company. The good news is we found another company that was able to repair what he destroyed and make the minor adjustments our jukebox needed. Nostalgia electronics. Needed repair on my Seeburg. First email said $375 to diagnose but $450 to come to Tucson. My problem was records continually rejected. He spent 3 hours cleaning and bitching.. No estimate to fix. Charged $1375 and refused to give receipt. He never fixed the problem. I contacted several times without agreement to give receipt. Now I'm going to file in small claims court. read more

This guy is a scammer . I sent him my jukebox part to be rebuilt. He called back and said he could not fix it, and told me go find that part myself. Then called back two days later and said it was fixed. And than wanted to charge me $850. This repair should only been around $200, from what other Jukebox people said. Jukebox George came out to my house on short notice and worked on my 1957 Rockola 200 Jukebox. The unit had not played in a long time. George is a one of kind guy with an incredible knowledge of these old machines and a great sense of humor. He got the old girl up and running and playing those old tunes again. Thank You. read more

I, also, would give 0 stars. Buyer beware. George's website and business card show an address in Old Town Scottsdale. George is working out of a storage facility on McKellips in Scottsdale. George convinced me that he could diagnose the problem with my jukebox in my home, wrong! George took my amplifier and power supply on March 5, 2018. I repeatedly called and emailed to ask for a repair estimate. I finally got an estimate on the day, June 25th, I drove to Scottsdale to pick up my parts. From what I can tell George never bench tested my amplifier. I paid George a lot of money to diagnose the problem and I got nothing except an estimate that almost everything needed to be fixed. Everything worked on the jukebox before George came except there was no sound. Now I have no idea what I will find, if I can even get it back together. Don't make my mistake!!!!! read more

While I'm sure at one time George was rational and reliable when it came to fixing Jukeboxes, in my experience that was not the case at all. In fact, I have never in my life had such a horrible experience with any company EVER! I called George because my Jukebox (a family heirloom) was not making any sound. He came to the house and said it would be $1000 since he would need to take the sound board back to his shop to fix it. We gave him $250 with the agreement that we would pay the remainder when he brought the board back in a few weeks. 8 MONTHS LATER I call him to see what is taking so long and HE DOESNT REMEMBER ME! Has no idea who I am. Seriously... I decide he's senile and cut my losses. Then a few months later he calls and says he finally remembers and is coming with the board. Gets here and The soundboard ISNT THE SAME ONE! Ours was in perfect condition and this one is all scratched up. But we still let him do his thing - Whatever. The box finally plays one song so give him the remaining $750 and he says it's gonna be AN ADDITIONAL $1000! What?! I refuse. He leaves and I go to play another song... Jukebox doesn't work . Now the records get stuck whenever you try to play them. Which never happened before. I would have called and demanded he come fix this but honestly he was so RUDE from the beginning and obviously 'not all there' I truthfully didn't want him back in my house. NOW he calls every few months to demand we pay him the money we apparently owe him for work he DID NOT DO. Threatening to "put a lien" on our house even though there was NO contract and we never signed anything. No receipts. Nothing. We have LAWYERS in the family... we know there's no way he can take us to court over some money for a job he DID NOT DO! The man is completely unhinged. Buyers beware. Buyers beware buyers beware. I would give a 0 star rating if I could. One star is not even close. He owes me stars...... My mom buys this jukebox from him January 2017. Not from his shop as stated in yelp but rather a storage unit at 1445 e McKellips rd on the border of Tempe and Scottsdale. 1st mistake..... We pay him by check and he states that there is a one year warranty on the machine He delivers the jukebox on February 7th 2017. After playing it at a party for a short time we start to notice that the records are skipping and not playing and that the machine is grabbing them and then just putting them back in the slot So we called George to come out.. and first words out of his mouth this is not a " warranty item". " I know what needs to be fixed. I need come out and fix and it will be 350.00 total if not more!!" Out of frustration we said come on out and we will deal with it then Mr George arrives on June 29th at 9 am and is their for an hour. He's in his truck by 10:15 am. He took the part out of the jukebox and said he will take it back to " his shop" and fix and will call us. Well radio silence till today.. August 3rd. I finally called George for a status update.. He answered and asked about the repair which he states " I'm still looking for parts with my sources around the United States and I have not gotten too it yet ". I said George I will come down to the shop and pick up the part as I'm going to move forward with it myself. Well then this is were jukebox George gets irritated and states " No No No that is my part and if you want it back come down and buy it back from me at 350.00 dollars for my time ". Really???!!!!!! Shocked by his response I inform him that the part is my property and paid 3000.00 for that jukebox. I go down to the shop and he refuses to speak with me. Because he states " he doesn't know me". Really. I have your business card. I know exactly what unit number you are in that storage unit. I have pictures of the juke box on my phone plus a receipt for it in my left hand. Yes I don't know you. My bad. My mistake. I'm the thief NOT YOU. How dare me So I call the Scottsdale police for guidance and to file a police report and document this for a civil suit Amazing the PD call him and " encouraged George " to turn over the part to me and settle the matter for 175.00 for service call. I have to go back to his illegal shop and not speak to Mr jukebox George but rather the owner of storage units And she makes me out a receipt for the part as if I bought it and then states " George wants only cash and states on the bottom of the ticket no further legal action can be pursued by me. That's cute George. But hey jukebox George sue me then. Because I am pursuing it much further I've called the better business bureau already. I'm reporting you to the Internal Revenue Service, the state attorney general and the city of Scottsdale for Fraudulent claims, extortion and tax evasion because you charged tax when we bought it, city tax of 7.99 percent. I hope you sent it In. You know your a thief. These guys serviced my jukebox. Geroge is amazing. They do house calls. Their service was great and pricing was very fair.

I called George to request service on my Wurlitzer jukebox. One of the bubbler's was broken and needed to be replaced. He told me the cost would be $385.00 plus parts. From that, I authorized the repair. After 3 hours in the unit, I was presented with a bill for $790.00. His excuse was that he cleaned the entire unit. I did not authorize this. After he left, I discovered that one of the lights was not reconnected. Beware, he will fix your unit, but the price may be very high. read more

DO NOT USE THIS GUY GEORGE....a complete rip off and scammer. I lost $900.00 and he did nothing. My Jukebox ran one day and quit. He would not warranty his work and told me I had a 3 month warranty. He told me you need money to own a Jukebox and would not stand by the warranty....what crappy customer service. He told me you cannot find parts for my Rowe. My brother fixed it for me in a flash with $30 part. A guy on eBay has ALL the parts for my model. My advise to anyone seeking a technician from Nostalgia Electronic is to seek services from someone else. George came to my house to work on 1955 Seeburg. He was not prepared brought no parts and then dismantled my juke box with all electronics removed from chassis. 2 months later and filed complaint with the AZ Attorney general office left me with parts missing and a juke box that would not work at all. I suspect he removed parts from mine to fix someone else's equipment. Charged me $350.00 for a diagnostic fee and some sprayed lubricant on mechanical gears. He works out of a storage unit and from what I could tell everything was disassembled. Very unprofessional would not return my calls and confused me with another unhappy customer where the police had to be called in. I am suspecting he is not licensed or insured. I must say that I'm a bit disappointed. George fixed my old Jukebox which cost me almost $1000 to fix. It played about ten songs and quit. He said he would warranty for three months. He has been avoiding me for two months now and tells me now he can't find parts. I would have just sold it for what it's worth instead of fixing it. I think his prices are very high for what he does and the amount of time he puts into it. Not using this business again. I am out a lot of money and a non working jukebox:(. read more
