We decided to go here one morning while staying in Williamsburg for a family Bush Gardens trip. We had read the reviews on Yelp and it looked like a great place. Outside was nice and the restaurant was clean and inviting. Our server was great and took care of us as soon as we sat down. The food on the other hand was..... disturbing I had the steak and eggs and the steak was far from fresh. It looked like a piece of shoe and had an off smell. The staff was extremely friendly and up beat, even in this new crazy world. I got the 3 stack and the pancakes were HUGE!! Everyone was nice but the food was very disappointing it was very expensive. My scrambled eggs were runny and everything was bland and unseasoned the server also never gave us any refills. My waffle was also very mushy and not crispy at all. Wouldn't not recommend coming here definitely recommend a Waffle House instead. read more

I put together a mini getaway with some friend recently and of course I did a little itinerary. Even though I visit Williamsburg at least 2x per year, I still have not been to all their fancy places to eat...so many choices! I did a yelp search for some breakfast spots in the area and came across this spot. I crossed my fingers that it would live up to the great review and brought my friends. Lets just say, it surpassed my expectations. The staff was friendly and the food was amazing. I ended up getting the catfish with grits. It was seasoned and perfectly paired. Everyone else told me that they enjoyed their food as well. I am heading back to Williamsburg in a few weeks and this will be another stop I will add to become a regular at. read more

Favorite breakfast place hands down! Everything is great on most of our visits. The pleasant lady that takes reservations and names is always smiling and on the ball! The restaurant decor is so cute and reminds me of an older diner. The wait staff has always been pleasant, and mostly on top of things. My family ate here three times in our one week vacation in Williamsburg. The place is bright and clean, everyone is friendly and we never had to wait. We had breakfast twice, the french toast was awesome and both my parents loved the cornbeef hash skillet and benedict. For lunch you need to order the hangover burger (fried egg, hashbrowns, bacon) it was great. Both the onion rings and fries were hot and not greasy. I came here for the Cinn-a-swirl pancakes and I was pretty satisfied. They were a bit on the sweeter side for me, but I'd still recommend if you're looking for some delicious pancakes. I ordered their regular 2 stack pancakes and they are also great! The overall experience was awesome. They are safely practicing social distancing during the pandemic. The interior has a nice hip design to it and the service was on point. They also offer the service of paying your bill through QR scanning for faster check out. Food and service were good, but overpriced for a breakfast place....same quality of food and service as Waffle House, but more expensive. Ambiance is a lot better than Waffle House though. It's a converted Friendly's restaurant, so there is more room inside and decorated nicely, but bathroom needs modernization. I rate them a two because they are 100 percent inflexible in making additions to your order unless you pay full price for another meal of whatever you want to add. For example, I wanted to try just one of their pancakes with my more protein-based meal. They say they can't add just one pancake. Wait--they CAN add just one pancake but "have" to charge you for a full order of two pancakes, instead of a fair upcharge (half the cost of the 2-pancake meal). What nonsense. It is greed, pure and simple, to force you to buy another complete meal (which results in someone also overeating, which isn't good considering our country's obesity epidemic). Their excuse for not accommodating requests is "people are always wanting to add things." Well...yes, that's what people often do when they go to restaurants and 99.9% of the wait service restaurants where I've eaten try to accommodate those requests because they want the customer to be happy....even if they are busy (which it was NOT when I ate there). It's part of being a restaurant! I skipped the pancake because I wasn't going to allow myself to be ripped off, but was very disappointed I wasn't able to give it a try. Their customer base is mostly tourist, so they obviously don't worry whether customers are coming back or not. If you are someone who likes the option of adding an item, don't go here unless you don't mind paying for another complete meal to get the item you want to add. They do have a small a la carte section on the menu, but it is overpriced ($7 for one egg), and doesn't include things like a single waffle or pancake. I will NEVER return here because I don't believe in rewarding greed. Save your money and go to a Waffle House. The food and service are just as good there. read more

What an amazing experience! We were recently at another of this family's pancake houses and had a terrible experience, but this restaurant is well-run, clean, and provided both great food and service. The manager was short staffed, but willing to pitch in by bussing tables and seating guests as soon as tables were available. It didn't matter that they were short two servers; him and his team worked hard to take care of everyone. Our server, Alexis, was attentive and accurate. The food was fantastic! I especially liked the Lil' Minis, which are silver dollar pancakes, with blueberries: real ones!! My husband loved his omelette and the crispy bacon melts in your mouth. I will certainly be back and would encourage any locals with friends or family in town to take them here. Just a true testament to how important good leadership is! read more

The atmosphere and food here is very unique to this restaurant! For starters, I love the welcoming vibe and "be nice to everyone" attitude this restaurant brings to Williamsburg. They have a sign by the cash register saying that if you are a grumpy person that they will charge you an extra $10. I love that because it encourages nice and positive people coming into the restaurant, thus creating a better experience for customers! Alright now to the food- for starters, everything looks amazing. I ended up ordering the red velvet waffle and the Special of the Day for breakfast, Elvis Stuffed French Toast. Needless to say, I was not disappointed at all! The Red Velvet Waffle has creamy sauce on top that added to the richness of the Red Velvet, but it also did not overpower it which I love! In addition, the Elvis Stuffed French Toast had peanut butter drizzled on top and bananas. There were banana's between each french toast it made every bite taste like heaven. Service by Carly was great. My husband loved his pancakes but I thought they were thin and had a sweet taste. My wheat toast and eggs were good although they don't butter the toast and you have to open tiny little packages of butter to do it yourself. Hash browns were not good (bland), I think they needed to be fried with some butter. The restaurant is spacious and seemed very clean and bright. We went on a Monday around 11:30am and got right in. We were in Williamsburg to visit Busch Gardens and water country and decided since it was Father's Day we would skip the hotel breakfast and find a place to have a nice breakfast. We looked up top reviews but still couldn't decide which of the many,many pancake houses we wanted to try. Then we spot a sign that says not another pancake house diner and knew we had to try it, the quirky dig into the 555 pancake houses was too funny to pass up. It was a great decision! The food was delicious, the service was amazing and the decor and humor in some of then decor makes for a great atmosphere. From the time we walked in the door to when we left it was an all around great experience. I wish I could remember our waitresses name because she was fabulous.
