We live in Williamsburg and have tried many of the pancake houses. This one is exceptional. It is clean, the staff is friendly and attentive. I had the fruit french toast and the majority of the fruit was fresh and quite tasty. Just a note I overheard the wait staff talking to what must be a regular. They knew her order to a "t". This is the only place we ate in more than once - three times to be exact! This is the place to go if you love grits. Heck, this is the place to go to fall in love with grits! My wife ordered hash browns with one of her meals, but they didn't look too great to me. They have a great selection of benedicts, including an Irish Benedict that came with corned beef hash. Loved it so much I ordered it the next day as well. On the third visit I change to Country Fried Steak, something I rarely order. It was great and had actual sausage gravy rather than the bland white gravy like stuff the big chains serve. My wife a had a traditional eggs benedict the first day, which she really liked because of how well the thinly sliced multiple pieces of Canadian bacon were done. The next day she had a Belgium Waffle which was served with fresh berries. On our last visit she ordered the French toast, which came with three hearty slices covered in all sorts of fruit! Richmond Road tourist trap locals not welcome! They seem to be looking for the unsuspecting tourist for a one time overcharged meal not repeat business from locals. I tried to call for 20 minutes and they didn't answer their phone so I physically went there and the hostess was rude saying I must have been calling the wrong number. When I showed her my phone that it was the correct number she said they've been really busy and don't have time to answer the phone. They apparently operate with a passionate hate for their customers. Ended up due to no service and snarky employees walking out before eating. I will never return! Locals beware! read more

They were COVID compliant, all staff were wearing masks and the hostess did very good at sitting every other table, ensuring everyone was adequately spaced apart! Maybe I'm a jaded local but i wasn't impressed. It's frustrating to have the same people own every pancake house in town. Rubbery pancakes, sausage links that were overcooked. Greasy hash browns. We had a to-go order from this restaurant. Quick and good service. Our food was ready in time and at a desirable temperature. We ordered the steak and onion Benedict and the meat lovers skillet. The Benedict was good but I didn't like the taste of the onions. I think the skillet could use more flavor. I would have preferred a fried egg instead of scrambled eggs in the skillet dish. The only reason that I did not give them a five is because my teenage daughter thought the french toast was too small. The pancakes were great. The eggs were great and the grits were fantastic. I really like this place. The food is great and the atmosphere is even better. The owner is very nice. They are related to the owners of the Greek restaurant, KEI GREEK KITCHEN which is right down the street form this pancake house. I went here twice this year once with my Son, my sister and my wife around Easter 2022 and then again the morning my son was leaving school at William & Mary. The 2nd time we had people with my daughters and my son's roommate. Both times the service was great. The food was great and they also offer a William & Mary discount which is great. If we are ever in Williamsburg again, this will definitely be on our list to revisit. read more

This place is great. My co-workers and I stopped here after looking at 5 other pancakes and waffles joints. It's a cute 70's theme diner that has amazing customer service and great food. I order the "The works" and got a little taste of everything. The grits were amazing "chefs kiss". Would recommend stopping here at least once if you're in the area. read more

Come with a hearty appetite! The pancakes are enormous and very tasty! All fruit waffle is also very delicious with fresh fruit. We really enjoyed both. I was excited to eat here after reading other reviews. So my family came in the decor is beautiful. And our server was sweet. However my order was wrong. I came for the red velvet waffles! When the food came out it was a plain waffle. The server in me would not allow me to send it back. My husband didn't get a T-Bone that he order and the steak he did receive was not the cook temp he wanted. So he switched to the biscuits and gravy after being told that they were out of T-Bone and whatever cut he received that was much smaller was better. Then came the biscuit and gravy! This was our first time here. I got the cinna swirl waffle, my daughter got the red velvet waffle, my husband got the carrot cake waffle and my fil got the all the fruit waffle. It was hands down the best waffles we have ever had. My waffle had just the right amount of cinnamon and cream cheese icing. The red velvet waffle had cream cheese glaze with chocolate chips. The carrot cake waffle had cream cheese icing with pecans and raisins. The all the fruit waffle had so much fresh fruit on it it could have been a meal in itself. These waffles were so light and fluffy not one of us touched the syrup. Definitely will be back!!! read more

Very cute inside. Stopped here this morning before our long drive home. It was a Monday so very quiet. Spent the past 4 days in town and this is the only restaurant I would return to on another visit. The coffee was hot and everyone was very friendly. Bacon and hash browns were well done just as I asked for. Eggs done perfectly but the Star was the French toast. They close at 2p. We are from out of town and took an Uber to get there before they closed. We arrived at 1:20 and a lady greeted us at the door saying they're closed and that she was about to hang the sign. Wanted to try a new place for breakfast and was pretty disappointed. Ordered eggs Benedict and they came out VERY over cooked, TWICE! Then they were kind enough to tell me that they were going to take it off my bill like it was a favor. They definitely took the wrong approach for stating the obvious and they should probably train their staff in the kitchen to cook Eggs Benedict if it's on the menu. I was generous and gave it 2 stars because my wife's BLT was good. read more
