A pre-Mother's Day dinner with me and my girlfriend. Let me say how we sat at the bar it was 2 bar servers and the bar was not crowded at all. One young lady came passed several times attending to the couple that was sitting next to us, finally one young lady came to ask us if we were help we both said no. We order wine and sat for 35 minutes talking and realized no one came back over, we ask for the check and said to the server you never came back to take our food order, she said OH! And walked away. I asked to speak to the manager who was courteous, he apologized in the middle of him apologizing and asking if we wanted anything else the server walked and was like yall mad!! November 17, 2021 I went with 10 others to celebrate our common retirements for lunch. I found the place clean and waitstaff attentive. Everyone seemed to enjoy their burgers, pasta, soups and I ordered the AHI Tuna Salad, $23.00. The tuna was seared to perfection. This place is especially great for a big group, because the menu is expansive. There is something for everyone. Great lunch special entrees (M-F until 4pm) with very reasonable prices ($16-$18). We had the sirloin tips and the haddock. The menu lists two sides that they come with, but actually you can choose any two sides for free. Sirloin tips were perfect medium rare and I liked the Brussels sprouts and spinach. This cut of meat is quite close to the flank and can be gamey sometimes. Haddock was well prepared, a nice big piece. The Brussels sprouts, spinach and mashed sweet potatoes were all good. Would definitely order again! I enjoy the food at "NYAJ" and have been to this Ardmore, PA location a few times. The cheesesteak appetizer is amazingly good! Very layed back atmosphere which invites ways to easily meet and greet, bring friends and colleagues and a cool spot to have great conversations with the one you care about! Served alcohol in a kids cup to a 2 year old!!! I ordered non-alcoholic Strawberry Lemonades for the table that included my 2 year old daughter. They served my 2 year old daughter an alcoholic strawberry lemonade. She took a few sips and said it was yucky. When I tasted the drink I realized it had alcohol in it. I immediately called poison control and waited there for the paramedics to evaluate her. They were very apologetic but this should never happen. They did explain how the mix up happened. Their negligence could have ended very differently. Prayerfully, My daughter didn't drink enough to have any long term symptoms and should be fine. It was very disturbing to say the least. read more

I ordered the teriyaki salmon. It was served to me slathered in Teriyaki sauce. I tried to push it off with my fork but it was served in a bowl not a plate. I go here a couple of times a year when family visits because the food is pretty good and the prices are reasonable. I also really like the atmosphere of the resturant. When my Dad came to visit me, me and my boyfriend all went here for dinner and he really enjoyed it. (Which is always good because he's hard to please lol) First the waiter comes over to take our drink orders and brings us bread for the table with this delicious parmesan cheese dip. (honestly one of my favorite parts of having dinner here) For appetizers we ordered a Greek Salad and Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. Both were very good. For entrees my dad ordered a burger, which was HUGE! I ordered mustard crusted chicken which came with mashed potatoes and broccoli. I always order that and I always enjoy it. And my boyfriend ordered the spaghetti squash mushroom bolognese and he ate everything on his plate! So he really liked his meal as well. Our server was wonderful! Possibly one of the most repulsive meals I've ever had. I sent it back after 2 bites. It was $29 and the noodles were a blob of gummy tastelessness. There was minimal flavorless strips of beef and some chewy pea pods. The potstickers appetizer was cold and dry and again, the wrappers were gummy. The bread on the table was supposed to focaccia but it strongly resembled stale hamburger buns. The dipping oil was overloaded with garlic. The only decent thing we had was the whipped feta appetizer. Our waiter reached over and in front of us every time he placed a dish on our table, and was generally sloppy and had zero personality. We decided on the downstairs bar. I would suggest sitting farther from the door. It was a bit drafty in the seats closest to the door. My daughter ordered the chicken fingers and fries. I ordered the mustard crusted chicken blt with fries. You can substitute a salad for the fries. The sandwich was a bit dry, the lemon aioli added some moisture with the toasted ciabatta bread. We went for dinner tonight around 7. Since it's Friday we expected to wait, but the place was half empty and we got seated immediately. We asked to sit outside and were taken to the balcony on the second floor. I ordered an espresso martini and it took our waitress about 15 minutes to drop it off. Then she says she'll be right back and leaves us waiting another 10 minutes to take our order. Our food took about 45 minutes to come out and our waitress never checked on us until maybe 5 minutes before the food came out. I was in desperate need of a refill by then. My partner ordered the sirloin tips, medium and they came out burnt. She sent it back and received a similarly cooked dish, still not pink in the middle. I got the buffalo chicken pizza and I loved the mango buffalo sauce they use. While we were waiting for her new order someone across the balcony screamed and pointed out a mouse running around. The wait staff said a manager was told. A manager came up and walked around and told everyone, sorry but I mean we're outside it's a wild animal. I could understand if we were at street level but we were on an enclosed balcony on the second floor. It would have also been another thing if it was just a brief siting. But it kept circling the empty tables and at one point I swear I saw two different ones. At that point I couldn't get out of there fast enough but service continued to be slow. Been here twice. First time I got the buffalo chicken wrap. I do not recommend this at all. It was not a normal wrap. The wrap was a thick pita type bread and just was not good. Decided to give them a second try. I got a burger, pretty hard to mess up. The burger was dry, bland and very average. I can confidently say I will not return for a third time. I personally had the margarita pizza which was pleasant but could definitely be classified as greasy depending on your preference. however that was the last pleasant thing we encountered. our table also ordered the chicken penne vodka and to say it was ice cold in under 1 minute is an understatement. we did go on valentine's day so it was a little busy but definitely not close to a full house.the seating up top floor close to the railing is definitely and interesting choice. it does seem like it would provide a cool view of the dining area, however it made us feel like we would drop anything over the edge onto unsuspecting customers at any moment. the super small tables also do not help the servers or anyone trying to have more than 1 dish on the table. as locals who like to try what is around us this was very disappointing. there are definitely much better options around that are by far much less expensive as well. read more

Came here for the first time with a colleague for happy hour and I will say that I am very pleased with our experience. We came on a Thursday afternoon and I'm assuming because of the approaching holidays that the area was much busier than usual. However, I didn't have any issues parking as there is a parking garage. We were seating immediately in the bar area (where happy hour deals are). We waited for awhile for our sever but not too long. She greeted us, took our orders, and the food came out pretty quickly. They bring out complimentary bread and their special house dipping sauce for the table. The combination of the oil, garlic, cheese, & red peppers is something I've never had before but was quite tasty. For my entree I got the wings and sliders which were also very filling and delicious. Stopped in for a quick late lunch and was not disappointed. I love looking at the decor and watching the old movie displayed on the wall. The open concept kitchen is great so you know nothing funky is going on in the kitchen. The bar area is really cool so I imagine Happy Hour must be great. I had the nachos and it was a bit different from what I expected but to be honest I LOVED it. It is good to share with one other person. It's a pile of about 10 large chips and each chip has meat and cheese. Much better then a huge bowl of chips that are dry. Bravo Nachos done right. I also had a bowl of the tomato soup. As someone who worked in food service as a chef for years I'll say a few things. The service is likely the highlight of this place. It is uninspired, overpriced, bar food plain and simple. I'm the complimentary bread was old, stale, and flavorless. The dip served with it was a confusing mix of oil, cheese, and pepper flakes. I don't know why this is a thing. Overall I'd say this place needs a complete overhaul. The menu is boring and tired with things like Chicken Parm and BBQ pork Mac and cheese. I would say more but frankly I'd like to forget about my experience. It is not a surprise that 90% of the patrons in this place are over 65. Anyone with taste buds that still work and a modicum of culinary knowledge would basically laugh at what's being attempted here. Ambiance is also nonexistent. Feels like Applebees. read more

I am angry that I hadn't visited earlier/ I love the look of the place and the staff are polite and things appear to run smoothly fro seating to ordering to attentive service through the meal. I enjoyed the bread and parmesan, red chili peppers and olive oil dip. We also had the Nachos and a Burger. The drinks are mixed well and tasty. The food was good - nothing spectacular, but it leaves a good impression. I feel that prices are in the average to moderate range. Nice place, reasonably good food, and good service. We came after the move at Bryn Mawr, and this was good for a relatively large group (6). They didn't have space outside (it was reserved) but we weren't crowded inside, so it felt safe enough. My only complaint would be that I ordered the burger rare ( and I did ask if that was doable, since some places won't serve it that way) and I got it medium to well done. Not even medium rare.
