When you're marketing person walked into my office. I heard cake and my interests were peeked...... I walked out of my office to find a carb temptress with a bag full of bundtenies. I tried to resist.... I quoted scriptures..... I may have even spoke in tongues, but the draw of the little bundt cakes kept calling my name..... Scott.... Scott..... Seriously Great Cake! I passed by (ignored) the Nothing Bunt Cakes store for over a year. Popped into: Homegoods, Jason's Deli, and Sprouts a million times but never thought to check out Nothing Bunt Cakes. I assumed Bundt Cakes were tacky molded cakes from the 1970's...they kinda are, and that's ok. The Red Velvet cake was amazing! Moist, dense, flavorful, and covered in a very generous amount of excellent icing. People may complain about the price (around $22), but these are quality cakes and quality ingredients cost money! I've been going to this location since they opened and have always ordered my cake with extra frosting. Today I ordered one again, but when I looked at it it had maybe half the amount of extra frosting as every single other time I had ordered one. I pointed this out to the nice lady who had helped me and was told that this was what extra frosting looked like (again, I have ordered extra frosting every time I came in and it was never such a small amount). At this point I was completely dissatisfied with the product I purchased and asked for a refund. The lady helping me said OK and she would get the manager to process the refund. When the manager, Shannon, came out she told me that they would not do a refund because they had correctly added the extra frosting. When I reiterated to her that I had ordered this many times before and had never had such a small amount of icing, she simply repeated that she would not issue me a refund. I have worked for and managed several retail and foodservice businesses, and none had a policy like that at Nuthin Bundt Cakes to NOT give a refund to a customer who was dissatisfied with the product. I was forced to leave without both the cakes that I ordered and the cash I paid for them. I was a customer here since they opened and recommended them to my family and friends, but I will not return and will absolutely not recommend them to anyone ever again. read more

Amazing customer service and the most delicious bunt cakes I've ever ordered before. Try their lemon flavor bunt cake, or chocolate raspberry, or even their marble swirl cake. Ohhh and don't ever forget the icing, it's probably the best cream-cheese icing you'll ever have. Also I've noticed that at certain times of the year they offer different flavored bunt cakes to try. I love going into your store off of Research Blvd but TODAY I went to visit your store to get me a Bundt. I hate to say that there was one girl working up front that was not nice, she was snotty and would not smile. This is a new place. They sent us a coupon for a free Bundt cake. Stopped by, lady behind the counter was very pleasant and nice to talk to. They have about 10 different flavors. I chose the special September flavor of pineapple upside down. It was yummy. Enjoyed by whole family. I was in and out of the store in a minute, so did not look at other available stuff. It's in the Sprouts and Jason's Deli shopping plaza, next to Home Stores. The Bundt cake costs $3.99. Good value for a delicious Bundt cake piece. A dozen will cost you $45. I went into Nothing Bundt Cakes to buy a 10" chocolate cake for my nephew the other day and the following is what happened. Two girls were working the counter but one was doing something with some ribbons and the other girl who was pregnant was helping a lady with her order. The girl doing something with the ribbons says to me she will be with you shortly. I say no problem and wait. The girl was helping an lady with her order as I waited. I hear the girl tell the lady that it was going to be $181.50 and the lady hands her a credit card. The girl cashes her out and says Thank You. She asks if she needs help to her car and the lady says no. The same girl who helped the lady in front of me says how may I help you? I say I want a 10" cake and she says sure no problem, and she proceeds to package the cake in a box. Once she is done she says it will be $28.50. I reach for my credit card and hand it to her. She looks at me and responds with, Do you have an ID? I looked at her confused as the lady in front of me gave her a credit card to pay for her $181.50 charge and there was no concern about the card not belonging to her. I can only assume this as she was not asked to produce her ID. I guess if a Hispanic has a credit card it must be stolen and must be verified it is not by his or her ID. If it wasn't for the fact that the cake was for my nephews birthday I would have cancelled the transaction. I will tell you this, from this day forward I would rather buy a cake from HEB than to ever buy a cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes. read more

The best way to treat yourself to a treat is with a Bundtini. They are individual little bundt cakes and far exceed the pleasure of a cupcake. I couldn't buy just one because they are so good. The first I ate for dessert and the second was for breakfast with coffee. It was the best guilty pleasure. I love going in to buy them because the girls are all so patient and sweet. I stopped in here one day to take a look and they had free samples of the white chocolate raspberry bundt and let me tell you, they know EXACTLY what they're doing giving out those samples. I love these cakes! But today was the first time I went to this location. When I walked in, there was one other customer being helped so I looked around. The lady working said she would be right with me, but when it was my turn she made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. When I asked if I could choose flavors in the mini 12-pack she replied rudely "yes but you will have to wait if that's what you want." I understand the wait, but she could have been nicer about it. She seemed very irritated and I am a true and honest believer in good customer service no matter where I go. If she didn't want my business, I am happy to take it else where.
