This review is purely for the limited edition coconut snowflake mini bundt cake. I don't frequent this establishment or any of its franchise locations. I'm not a chocolate lover and I've had their vanilla, strawberry and carrot cake flavors. Their carrot cake is my fav but I probably only visit maybe once a year. So now, I saw someone on Instagram talk about this cake and this is the second one I got in two days. I just want to say I'm so damn happy this is limited time offer because if it was available more often I'd have fight off demons to keep me from buying this once a week. It's not - it's a chill cake place you can walk into and get some bundtlets. After hearing about a friend's experience with another location, I decided to share mine. This location has always given big cakes with ample frosting - resulting in a sweet magnificence that I've enjoyed on many occasions - never had any issues. As far as cake formats go, you can't really go wrong with any. Bundtinis are their take on cupcakes and they're nice for sharing and getting a wide range of flavors. Bundtlets are single-serve cakes of amazingness, and then they have big bundt cakes. All of them always come with the perfect frosting to cake ratio for me (I like a lot of frosting). Recently moved to the area and came here at the suggestion of a friend. The store was packed when we got there (which we took as a good sign!) and even more crowded when we left. We had to wait a little while, but we didn't mind because there were free samples to try while we were in line. We sampled the snickerdoodle and lemon flavors. Both were incredibly delicious and moist! We ended buying four flavors: the confetti, snickerdoodle, lemon, and chocolate chip. To our surprise they were having a birthday promotion (buy one, get one free) so we only paid around $7 for four cakes! What a steal! The customer service was awesome and the cakes were delicious. The one thing I will say is the buttercream cheese icing is very rich (and I have a crazy sweet tooth and hardly ever say this) so I wasn't able to finish a cake in one sitting. So if you're not a fan of super sweet icing, take caution. But overall, the cake is sooooo good and I would highly recommend to give it a try! read more

I want to preface this with the fact that I love Nothing Bundt Cakes as does my family. However, August 5, 2020 was a very different experience at the Southpark Meadows location. Typically everyone is warm and friendly, the visit did start that way. It was my husbands birthday and he loves the cakes. But we have one son who does not like the copious amounts of cream cheese icing. I asked may I have a cake with the icing on the side, the young lady said let me go to the back and ask? She came back gleeful and said no problem, icing on the side. She starts to put an order in and I said oh I haven't told you which cake, she said, that's right. I said the chocolate, chocolate chip with icing on the side and I too ordered 6 more cakes. I had a total of 7 and got one bundlet free due to the bundlet card. The young lady goes back and says it's a chocolate, chocolate chip with icing on the side. She tells me it will be a minute and proceeds to bag my other cakes and I pay at this time too. Thus far everything has been great. The young lady comes with my one cake with no icing on the side and says, I am sorry we are not allowed to place the icing on the side. I said but I asked you, and you went back and asked and had to go back a second time with the actual cake order. The young manager comes out and says I am so sorry, she's new, this is literally her 2nd day. I said she's been lovely and she repeated my words and came back and said icing on the side, no problem. The manager says, ma'am, I am really sorry it's been our policy since the bakery opened to not allow icing on the side. I said if it's a policy then I would expect to see I am sorry we can take the icing off or keep it on but we cannot put it on the side. However, no where in the store does it say that. If this is such a well known policy, I would think I would tell my new team member the things you can and cannot do. She said I came out because I knew you were still in the store, I said I am in the store waiting for my cake with icing on the side. The manager said that's why I am talking to you to let you know our policy. I said why did you not come out here when the young lady told you my request, she too had to then go back a second time to place the order so you had 2 times to intervene and come speak with me but you waited until the cake was ready to get packed. She offered a refund for the one cake, I said my son is at home anticipating a cake with icing on the side. She said I understand but it's been this way since the beginning, I said well you had plenty of opportunity to talk with me. I too would urge you to get signage if it's such an important thing to not place icing on the side. So I said I will do the refund but I need his cake too, oh I can't do that, it's refund or you take the cake. I said really you can't make it right, she cut me off and basically just wanted me to leave. I asked the young girl who took my request when the manager walked away, I said didn't she answer you when you said icing on the side. This poor girl said, I must have misunderstood, I am new. So I realized the manager was throwing this young girl under the bus. I take my cakes to the car, I am going to start my review and I can't remember if I ordered 6 or 7 cakes, so I look in the bag and realize the order seems wrong. So I find my receipt and yes I was missing a cake. I go back in, there's another young girl who did not wait on me but yell's to the back. The girl walks over and I said I am missing a cake, I take them out to show her she walks back grabs what I am missing and walks away doesn't re bag or say I am sorry. I was the only one in the store a man walked in while she was helping me but she leaves me to help him. I said may I get another bag these were not staying well in the one bag, well each bag holds 6, I said well there were 5 and they were falling over and apparently you all missed the 6th. The no icing cake was bagged separately. The manager offers a bigger bag but zero apology for a mistake on them. They bagged them twice trying to get them to stand on top of each other nicely this was prior to knowing I was missing a red velvet. Cakes are amazing, but customer service leaves something to be desired.I am sorry refunding $4.50 and giving me the cake should have been no issue, clearly I go often. I bought 7 in one sitting. If a policy is no icing on the side then it should be written somewhere. I've never thought to ask for a cake with icing on the side but it was b day celebration for my husband and we hated leaving one son out because he doesn't like the copious amounts of icing. I would love to say I won't go back but that's not true, however the manager needs to learn how to handle customers better and not throw new staff under the bus. What a cute little shop! I came in to redeem my free birthday bundtlet and I was so amazed at all the different flavors I could choose as well as all the other things around the shop!
