Countless Bundt Cakes, Bundtinis and Bundtlets later...let me write my overdue review!! I've been visiting this shop since it first opened in Dublin. The sweet welcoming smell never gets old. We have tried all their flavors and my favorite is the Chocolate Chocolate Chip. Their cakes are all soft, sweet and flavorful. They're topped with decadent cream cheese frosting. Lemon and Carrot cake are a close 2nd and 3rd. Lemon is a good balance of sweet and tart. I love how their carrot cake has no nuts. I've ordered Bundtlets and Bundtinis for my boys' birthdays over the years. The service has always been great. Plus, there are always free samples to enjoy. This came on a plate with cellophane wrapped. Each side had a one inch gap. My first thought was how am I going to keep this clean and fresh until tomorrow morning. I tried to asked why it was so open to the air and the employee was rude and just said "well it's wrapped." I didn't have time. I needed a quick pickup so I left. By the time I got home the cellophane had fallen over and the frosting is a mess. I tried to wrap plastic wrap around it to keep it clean. I will never pick up a cake without box again. It's an expensive cake to be messed up due to poor wrapping and rude employees. Hopefully it at least taste good. read more

If you're looking for soft, fluffy cakes, look no further. I can't believe I waited so long to get cake from here but my mom got me a couple bundtlets for my graduation and they were SO GOOD. We got the classic vanilla and strawberries & cream flavor and they both were delicious. Lots of flavors for those with a sweet tooth. The store in Dublin is very cute and also conveniently located for easy pickups. Staff was very friendly and orders are ready instantly as they have lots of little cakes ready made. The pecan cake I had was very moist and have a good amount of flavor. The frosting was on the sweet side and put on a bit to thick on the mini bundt. I was picking out a cake for a birthday and asked a hundred questions. They were patient with me, addressed all my questions and also gave me some great suggestions about decorating the cake. I decided to get the white chocolate raspberry, after it was recommended. And boy, was it delicious! The frosting was creamy and rich and the raspberry bits in the cake added the right amount of tartness. The decorations were beautiful too and added so much life and color to the cake. Also highly recommended are their chocolate chocolate chip flavor and the red velvet which also has chocolate chips in it. They sanitized the cards/decorations section right after a customer used it so that it was ready for the next person to browse through. Social distancing measures were also in place. While I understand that customers coming in 2 minutes before closing can be daunting, there is no cause for being rude. The display case had a cover on it and I lifted it to see what was still available. While I am placing my order the "supervisor" says "you shouldn't be lifting that because it's on there because we are closed." I apologize and she roles her eyes and says nothing else. I think - rough day. Let it go. I didn't see a specific flavor on the menu and while I was explaining to employee that was helping me why I lifted cover to look for a flavor - the "supervisor" interrupted to tell me again why I should not have lifted the cover and blah blah blah blah she is the "supervisor". I asked why she was being so hostile and she just walked away. After she walked away the employee said oh yeah it's the marble flavor that isn't here. Several people have missed it. The employees and I chuckle about it and we all say have a good day to each other. The supervisor requires customer service training because had she taken the time to allow me to finish my question instead of rudely interrupting me and trying to throw around her title she might have been able to help a frequent customer. I am so disgusted with the "supervisors" behavior. Just rude! Almost forgot that she did all of this while she was helping another customer. She never greeted me. Rude! This is a great last minute gift idea. I picked up a tower for a friend who was celebrating a landmark birthday during COVID. They are open for take out. You basically place your order, pay and wait for your order while maintaining a 6' distance from other customers. The wait time moved fairly fast for me. The associate, Aurora (with colorful hair), has rung me up several times, as I am a regular shopper at this location. She has a bad attitude and obviously does not like her job (I think she'd be more suited for a hot topics or Spencer's type vibe). I didn't receive a greeting, instead I greeted her, as usual - no hello or anything, she just stares at you with disgust. She doesn't ask how she can assist, ever. Basically expects you to do everything yourself. I wasn't aware of the cost difference between "pop up" items and regular items, so when I requested a different flavor she sighed as if she had a problem. I mentioned having a BOGO (for completing a survey on my previous order) and she explained that she "can try, but we don't have any BOGOs at the moment". Continued the checkout process with a bad attitude and very dry manner. Threw my punch card on the counter and when I took the receipt from her hands, she suggested I have a good day in a snarky tone. Interesting that she only tried to be "friendly" after it was clear that I had a problem with her curt service. She lacks training on customer service. Have had the same experience with her several times and it doesn't seem to get any better. I love these cute little Cakes! I first discovered Nothing Bundt Cakes about 2 years ago and they are one of the very few Bakeries (currently just 3) I will happily return to time and time again. I have visited 6 different store's in the Bay Area and where the Cakes are the same at each location and are a 4 star average this store earns themselves an extra star for the awesome Customer service. I have been to this location a few times now and each time had great service. I recently won a $50 gift card via a Facebook promotion which I collected from here. The promotion just happened to coincide with my Birthday where of course I also got an email notifying me of my free Birthday Bundlet. The staff had no problem at all with issuing me with both. A little Cheeky of me? Maybe. My most recent visit last weekend the service was just as excellent and where I arrived just 5 minutes before they were due to close they had ran out of the Lemon flavor I wanted but on looking around I spotted the samples that were yes, you guessed it.. Lemon! The young lady serving me then cheerily smiled and said ''Oh yes, the samples are Lemon. Help yourself to as many as you want and take some with you!". I've been to other Nothing Bundt Cakes in other cities, and I think service and product is pretty consistent across all the stores. The decor is very cutesy and neat in all the stores, and this one was no different. There's no seating inside, so it's definitely a buy-and-go place. I adore the different samples they have each day, and I think it's a great strategy to let customers try a bite of deliciousness before purchasing. Out of all the flavors, I think my favorite would have to be the chocolate chocolate chip. I believe it's gluten-free, which amazes me because I wouldn't imagine something gluten-free could taste so moist and good, even to the point of surpassing the other flavors that aren't gluten-free. The chocolate isn't too sweet and it's incredibly rich and satisfying, and the chocolate chips scattered throughout are exactly the right amount; not too much, not too little. I'm a huge fan of this bundlet, and it's my go-to guilty pleasure. The red velvet and cinnamon swirl are good as well, but I don't think they compare to the chocolate chocolate chip. The red velvet is a little less moist than the chocolate chocolate chip, and the I think the cream cheese frosting on top tastes a little off to me. I'm not sure if it's a little too sour or too sweet, but I know the general balance and combination doesn't appeal to me as much as the frosting on top of the chocolate chocolate chip. The cinnamon swirl is good, and it tastes like a cinnamon bun in cake form, but it's just a personal preference that I prefer cinnamon rolls in roll form. This particular store is located on the ground floor of an apartment complex, which sounds a little strange upon first impression, but there are a lot of stores located on the ground floor of said complex, so it's almost like a small community. There are 2-hour commercial parking spots within the complex, which is a convenient perk when shopping here. There are coffee shops and restaurants nearby as well, so Nothing Bundt Cakes is the perfect place to grab some dessert or espresso-accompaniment. Not once but many times they will not accept my coupons. These are coupons that they have emailed to me and the typical generic reason they give me is "that coupon is not good at this location" when I only visit the Dublin location and the coupon says good at the Dublin store. The workers are eager to greet you but not so friendly when taking your order. Good customer service starts at the bottom and continues to the top. Happy customers repeat frequently and write 5-star reviews. I will not be wasting my time at this location again. In addition, they will only take a coupon if you give them your phone number.
