I was lucky enough to get a free sample at the Livermore Valley wine festival this past summer, and out of everything I tried (wine included), the one thing I remember and enjoyed the most was the bundt cake from here! I was happy to discover that there is a location here in SoCal, but it's all the way in Thousand Oaks. I love pretty much anything lemony, and their lemon bundt cake was to die for. Not too sweet or tangy, SUPER moist, and very light. Dense cake=bad cake, and this was the complete opposite of dense. I didn't want to be a greedy sampler, so I didn't get a taste of the chocolate cake, but I wish I did! Now I have to take a trip out to Thousand Oaks one of these days :) read more

One of the lender reps came into the office today for a meeting with us and she brought us some delicious goodies from this place - Mini bundt cakes!!! They were the perfect size if you don't want to overindulge in the goodness of it since it's at most 4 bites. The cream cheese frosting is DIVINE!!! I savored the cake in ecstasy. That's right... ECSTASY!!!!!!! Hope they open one in San Francisco but then that would be dangerous - for my ass. I don't need it to get any bigger. Try this place if you guys can! read more

WORST RED VELVET CAKE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As a Southerner Red Velvet cake for us is iconic. However I understand the desire for some to experiment with the cake. However just throwing chocolate chips in a red dye batter doesn't a red velvet cake make. Here is what was wrong: 1) Horrible after taste - Commonly wrong with cakes that use too much DYE, which is clearly an evident issue here. 2) Did not have a chocolate taste to it! - Yes the chocolate chips did, but not the cake itself. This is one of the iconic things about this cake other than color and frosting. The cake is a hidden light chocolate cake. 3) Over powering frosting - Cream cheese, or sugar based? SUGAR BASED! The frosting had to be scraped off in spoonfuls. 4) NO PECANS - You people do know that red velvet cake is suppose to come with pecans right? Well a lot do not use them so not too bad here, but was an opportunity to try and get it right which again they didn't. 5) All around really bad experience - I actually thought about this cake and how upsetting it was to me for about a whole day. I hate people which just come on this thing and bitch, but just the all around unhappiness inclined me to pen a line. I had the carrot cake, it was ok and others are probably ok. The concept is neat, and the design is cool. However it is time to hang up the red velvet cake recipe, you really ruined my day with this one. read more

What a hoot! If you have a sweet tooth, this place will satisfy you in a hurry! I finally got myself over to this place (Can't see it from Dublin Blvd but know that is in the apartment complex along with a few other eating establishments) and from the moment I walked in, it was an experience. The staff was very friendly and attentive, with generous samples just waiting to be had (The samples alone sell these things!). Having never been here, I asked question, after question, and after making a purchase (wincing because I thought it would hurt my wallet bone) I found the price not so painful after all! I brought bundts home (they come in a variety of sizes) to the wife and to my class...boy was I the life of the party! Naturally, when you walk in the door to place like this, don't ask about the calorie count...to the moon, baby! The little bundtlets are amazing!! I stumbled upon this cute little store a couple weeks ago, and was so charmed by the cuteness of this store. They had samples of their lemon cake which was so moist and fresh. I looked in their little display and noticed they didn't have any red velvet cakes left. I asked the nice worker there and she said they had some in the back. Yay for me! When she was wrapping it up for me, I then noticed that there was a description of the flavors on the right side of their store. I read that the red velvet cakes had chocolate chips in them!! I actually squealed with delight. It did not disappoint, the red velvet was so moist, and the frosting was just enough, not too sweet, not too rich, and not too cream cheesy. This little bakery isn't facing the main street, so make sure you drive into the complex with other shops and apartments (i think). This place is sooo cute with their big bundt cakes and mini bundt cakes. Make sure you help yourself to a cake sample! I got myself a red velvet mini bundt cake. It is sooo good, but there is a whole lot of cake in that mini bundt. For my birthday party, my friend brought a bunch of their new red velvet BUNDTINIS !!! I love that name, so adorable! I love this place. I love their bundt cakes. I actually don't have a favorite flavor, because everyone i taste...i loved the flavor. The nice thing about this store front, is that the give you a pretty large sample of the monthly featured cake when you go there. I've been here probably 3x and each time has been great. You're probably asking, why the ding of one star? Well, the last time i went in there, i bought a gift certificate and mini-bundt for my girlfriend's birthday. My mother-in-law bought be my first bundt cake from here, because she knows how much i love red velvet anything. I will just say that eating that bundt cake was like floating on clouds. Absolutely DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!! I went back with my daughter and saw that they change their flavors regularly. My husband had a pineapple upside down cake, which was no longer there when I went, but they have white chocolate raspberry, which was equally as delicious. I believe they have regular flavors that are always there, like the RED VELVET bundt cake... om nom nom nom. I followed my trusty yelp app's advice and came here last minute to get some treats for a birthday celebration. I'm so glad I did! Many bakeries (especially those which specialize in cupcakes) tend to hide their sub-par, dry tasteless cake with a huge amount of sugary fatty frosting. Not here! The cake is moist and flavorful and the icing is used in moderation (there's just the right amount). I tried the carrot cake, red velvet, and the marble mini bundts. They were all delicious! The carrot was unlike any I've ever had (a good thing!) and the red velvet had a special surprise inside- chocolate chips! My only complaint is there is only one type of frosting- I would have preferred chocolate on the marble rather than cream cheese icing. WOW, This is such a great concept. A new spin on cakes. I have tasted many of these cakes from friends over the last few months. I had a party to attend last weekend (Halloween Theme) , usually I always make something. As time ran away, I thought of these guys. I put in a call and picked up a Halloween Themed, Choc. Really catering to the suburban mom and you really can't get more suburban than Dublin/Pleasanton so they picked a good location. $3.99 will get your a persoanl sized bundt cake about the size of those big muffins at Costco. There's a lot of flavors to choose from, but i'd go for Red Velvet and Chocolate Chocolate. There's a nice cream cheese drizzled on top. It's not as much as the mound of frosting at Sprinkles so it's light, bundt still very fatty. PS. I went here 2 days straight and the lady said 'Hey, back for more?' FML. read more

When trying cupcake places I always wonder... Is it going to be too sweet, dry, or just in general taste good. I can ensure you these cupcakes taste amazing! Moist, fresh, not artificial and the frosting is a bite of heaven. We have tried all their flavors and our favorites so far are: red velvet, white chocolate and white raspberry! Doesn't need fancy decor, swirl or color as it's simplicity in design just highlights the wonderful taste. I asked the nice sales lady what the favorites were and she said chocolate and marble. I was surprised she didnt mention red velvet. I've never had red velvet with chocolate chips and, frankly, it didn't work for me. So many of the reviews have been raves that I had to wait and really think about how I felt about this place. I just purchased two dozen assorted bundtinis for my three year old niece's birthday party. I couldn't resist the temptation as they were sitting in my fridge, so my son and I sampled a few or more. We tried the red velvet bundt, poppy seed and the chocolate chocolate chip and WOW., so moist and flavorful. They came with a dot of frosting and it made the tini's just perfect in terms of sweetness. The bundtinis are small enough for kids to hold and eat by themselves. They are the size of small (not the mini) cupcakes. They arrange them in a sturdy "cupcake" type liner. They offer a variety of bundt sizes and flavors. The bundtinis are great for parties and they sell a dozen for approx. $17 (you can mix your flavors). I placed my order over the phone which gave them time to arrange and pack my order. I would suggest the same for anyone who places an order, otherwise, expect to wait about 10-15 minutes. I would have never found this place had it not been for Yelp. This sweetness is hidden away in the driveway of the new condos that are built at the corner of Dublin Blvd and Dougherty Rd, across from AM/PM gas station. You cannot see from the main cross streets. It's nicely decorated, but does not have a lot of seating to give you the opportunity to dig into your bundtini right away. However, that might change once the shopping center gets fully occupied. read more

I came here today with a friend after we grabbed lunch around the corner. Walking in, my friend made a beeline for the free samples! I almost doubted that they were samples because they were good one-inch cubes of cake topped with a swirl of their cream cheese frosting. Big enough to take me three or four small bites before I finished it, that was quite a generous sample! The ladies at the counter asked if we were there for any special occasion -- we weren't. We just had a sugar craving. One look at the glass case housing all the adorable bundt cakes and I knew I had to bring home a little one for the roomies! So many flavors! The one I sampled was the marble bundt cake, but I decided on a red velvet since it's their #1 seller. The cake itself is soft and moist, without being overly sweet. The cream cheese frosting was to die for. I'm a huge fan of cream cheese frosting, and this one was perfection: creamy, but not too sweet. I had seen pictures of these adorable cakes before, but I think I'll be coming here more often in the future for birthdays and such. I love this red velvet cake. I am not a huge fan of cakes or desserts in general, but the cakes from this place are fantastic. The red velvet is moist (but not sticky or undercooked) and has just the perfect amount of sweetness. The icing is good, but can be a little too sweet for me so i try to distribute it among all the cake myself with each bite since it's concentrated in the hole. The carrot cake and white chocolate raspberry are also pretty good. The mini sizes are nice if you're just treating yourself after a long day of work (or during the day as I do since they sell these at our cafeteria!) but are expensive (about $4 each). The $18 8" size is perfect for a get together or small birthday dinner though, and I'd much rather have one of these than a cold stone cake. read more

Cute little cake shop! Nothing Bundt Chocolate for me!! I ordered 3 chocolates, 1 marble, and 1 pineapple upside down (flavor of the month) for my lil mister's 1st bday party this past Sunday! All were decorated nicely but were pretty much mangled and gone (as in eaten) in the end except for the marble which was my only left over. I've been having it for breakfast and dessert after lunch for the past 2 days now and it's still pretty moist and good! The staff is outstanding including the delivery dudes. The cakes were delivered on time and they helped my husband carry the chairs for our party! Talk about extra customer service! I'd give them 5 stars but since they are a franchise, they couldn't do custom requests for cake decorations. I wanted a pool theme decoration on the cakes but had to settle with their design selections. Oh well, I still love this place! read more

I usually love this place. I love their frosting and their bundtini's are pretty addicting. However, recently I ordered an 8-inch lemon bundt cake along with a dozen bundtini's. The part I thought was annoying was that you cannot get these cakes w/o frosting. Why not? I don't understand, they said it was policy. Kind of dumb. I settled for a "light drizzle. They also don't have very creative decisions that they can do, its all "pre-packagey". When we picked up the order, the 8-inch looked more like a 6-inch. It was tiny (i've ordered 8-inch regular cakes and they were NOT that small). Even though I was told that there would be a light drizzle of frosting, this cake had a giant pool of frosting in the center. When I first heard about this place, I was like "ehhh that won't be around for long, how could a business survive just selling bundt cakes?" But I was wrong. The bundt cakes are so delicious and yummy and they make you want to come back for more. The bundlets are more reasonably priced than fancy cupcakes in the area, but they taste just as good, if not better. This particular location is very cute and clean. The service is great. By far the WORST customer experience I've ever had. I had an online order that I just wanted to change the time to pick up... not a hard request is it?!? Apparently it is and the email basically says any changes please call. I'm not picking my order up for another 2 days and that's enough time to make any minor changes in my opinion when it's not even a special order. I spoke to Andrea or whatever the hell her name is- starts with an A. She told me to go online to make changes but I can't and I just asked can I cancel and redo my order if it's such a hassle that I can't even pick up my cake an hour early. She said something and she hung up on me.. so I call back and I am extra pissed because all I wanted was to pick up early and she is as fake and rude as ever and apparently she is the manager. Whoever decided to have her as manager needs to rethink this because you know damn well customer service is everything! I used to come here very often and let me tell you, I am never coming back after that rude encounter. read more

But my daughters birthday was this past weekend and we didn't buy a cake. She reminded me at 555pm on Sunday. I yelped a cake place that was local and had high rating!! Here we go: I called, the young lady said they closed at 6pm. I said oh no. She said where do u live and I told her. The place ended up being 4mins from our home. Now we are picky, we get there and its the cutest little place! They had these "lemon cake" samples. Omg I almost pulled up a chair, but I had to remember they were staying open for me.. My daughter ordered a "Red Velvet cake" we came home and opened the box and it was so cute.. we cut into it and the knife fell right thru.
